As Sasuke and Team RWBY along with Kabuto and his team approached Dr. Merlot's laboratory, they prepared for whatever the mad doctor had prepared for them. When they finally reached Merlot's laboratory, a recording was played.

Merlot(Recording): Greetings, and welcome to Merlot Industries, where we're building a better tomorrow... today!

Sasuke: "A better tomorrow". How many fell for this lie?

Ruby: I've got a bad feeling about this....

Kabuto: If we are to disable this laboratory, we'll need to know the layout of the lab. Keep your eyes peeled for any maps, schematics, or better yet - any access terminals that would allow us to tap into Merlot's network.

As Kabuto said this, he spots a nearby terminal. Without hesitation, Kabuto begins hacking into the terminal in an attempt upload the laboratory's schematics. Suddenly, Merlot's voice was heard on the intercom.

Merlot(Intercom): Making yourselves at home, I see? I want my guests to feel welcome, but my security team rarely feels the same way.

It wasn't long before a squadron of Droids began converging on the group and began firing on them. Sasuke and Team RWBY along with the rest of Kabuto's team formed a defensive line around Kabuto. As the group dealt with the Droids, Kabuto eventually got the schematics downloaded.

Kabuto: Got the schematics! There's a processing plant on the next floor of the lab! There's an elevator that'll take us there!

Yang: Well what are we waiting for? Let's trash it!

With that, the group began making their way to the elevators. Once they reached the elevators, they used them to reach the processing plant. They soon saw giant tanks filled with the green substance. Also in the room were Mutated Grimm.

Ruby: The tanks of goo - they're attracting more mutants!

Weiss: The Grimm are clearly attracted to that substance.

Zaku: Then we'll have to break them open.

Without hesitation, Zaku unleashes a powerful concussive blast onto one of the tanks, destroying it. Kin then throws three needles at another tank. The vibrations from the needles cause the glass to shatter. At the same time, Sasuke and Team RWBY took the fight to the Grimm. Sasuke charged at one Mutated Grimm and unleashed a powerful Chidori strike on a Mutated Grimm. Ruby slides in and decapitates the Grimm with Crescent Rose. During the chaos, a Mutated Beowolf charged at Kabuto and his team. Without hesitation, Sasuke jumps on the Mutated Beowolf's back and plunges his sword into it's nape. Sasuke then channeled Chidori into the sword, causing the Grimm to howl in pain. Sasuke then directs the rampaging Grimm towards the final tank. Once the Mutated Grimm was close enough, Sasuke jumped out just as the Mutated Grimm crashed into the tank, destroying it. As the last of the Mutated Grimm were destroyed, Merlot's voice was heard on the intercom.

Merlot(Intercom): I would appreciate it if you didn't break all my things, but alas, my Androids will rebuild it in no time. This way please.

Suddenly, a door opens. Sasuke and Team RWBY became suspicious. 

Yang: Is it just me, or is he a little too welcoming?

Zaku: We got him on the run. I say we push on.

Sasuke: Wait. We're in his territory. We don't know what he has in store for us.

Kabuto: I agree. He could be herding us into a trap. Hhm....according to these schematics, that door takes us straight towards the main lab.

Sasuke: In other words, that's the only path forward. 

Left with no other choice, the group proceeded into the next room. As they navigated through the next room, the two teams kept their guard up when they were ambushed by Droids. 

Weiss: More Droids!

Dosu: Leave them to me. I suggest you cover your ears. 

Everyone covered their ears as Dosu activated his Resonating Echo Speaker. The sound vibrations overload the processors on the Droids, causing them to malfunction. Once the Droids were cleared, Kabuto gestured the all clear.

Kabuto: Well done, Dosu. 

TYang: That's his big plan? Send Droids to take us out? Guess he really is running out of ideas.

Suddenly, a ray shield was raised around the two teams. Without hesitation, Sasuke attempts to use a Chidori strike to destroy the ray shield, but the shield proves too strong. 

Ruby: That's not good.....

Kabuto: He arrange to have the area small enough so that we wouldn't be able to use our Semblances to disrupt the shields without hurting ourselves. 

Weiss: Wait a minute! How did this happen? We're smarter than this!

Yang: Apparently not. 

At this point, Sasuke surveyed the area for anything that could be used to escape the ray shields. He used his Sharingan and saw hollow points beneath them. 

Sasuke: Zaku, aim your palms beneath us. 

Zaku: Did you not hear Kabuto? Doing that is more likely to get us killed!

Sasuke: And if we don't, Merlot's Droids will come to kill us. 

Kabuto: Sasuke's right. We're out of options. 

Hesitantly, Zaku aimed his palms at the ground. He then activates his Semblance, unleashing a concussive blast on the floor. To everyone's shock, it revealed a ventilation shaft. As they began navigating the ventilation shaft, Merlot speaks on the intercom.

Merlot(Intercom): This is getting rather tiresome. But I suppose I have one more final exam for you down in the Manufacturing wing. I'll be waiting.....

With that, a collision course had been set between the two teams and Merlot. Preparing for whatever Merlot had in store for them, Sasuke and Team RWBY along with Kabuto's team would do everything in their power to end the threat posed by Merlot before it could be unleashed on Remnant.
