As Sasuke and Team RWBY along with Kabuto and his team continued to navigate through the ventilation shafts, Kabuto turned to the group. 

Kabuto: Good news. The coordinates of Merlot's secret lab were contained within the data retrieved from the terminal. I've arranged to have an airship deployed and will rendezvous with us shortly.

Sasuke: Then we can't delay. 

Yang: Then what are we waiting for? Let's blow this place and go home.

Eventually, the group managed to make their way to the Manufacturing Wing. 

Kabuto: We've reached the Manufacturing Wing. We'll need to destroy everything we see that may be vital to Merlot's operation.

Ruby: Sounds like a plan! 

Weiss: Let's get to it! 

Wasting no time, the two teams began destroying all the equipment in the room with their weapons and powers. It wasn't long before Droids began pouring into the room. 

Blake: Droids incoming!

Zaku: Scrap incoming!

Zaku then unleashes a concussive sound blast, destroying several Droids. Sasuke charges in and begins cutting them down with his sword with Ruby providing support. As the Droids were whittled down, the two teams continued to destroy the equipment. Among the equipment were vats filled with the serum that created the Mutated Grimm. It wasn't long before Merlot's voice was heard on the intercom.

Merlot(Intercom): My serum...no matter. Thankfully, I may have already synthesized the perfect combination. It's still in the test phase, but so far the data is looking very impressive. I'mm sure you're all eager to see.

Once the equipment in the room was destroyed, they pressed deeper into the Laboratory. When they reached the testing grounds of the laboratory. They spotted Merlot within an observation deck overlooking the platform.

Merlot: Welcome to the testing grounds, students. Why don't you go ahead and get acquainted with my test subjects. They could use the exercise.

As Merlot said that, a wave of Mutated Grimm were released from their cages. Sasuke and Team RWBY along with Kabuto and his team readied their weapons and began fighting the Grimm. Once the Grimm were taken down, the two teams take a moment to catch their breath. 

Yang: So far so good.

Blake: Something tells me we've got bigger problems to deal with...

As Blake said that, a large gate was released. Out from the cage emerged a hulking Mutated Deathstalker.

Kin: You just had to say something.....

Merlot: Don't be shy, students. You could learn a lot from this enhanced specimen. They won't teach you a thing about this back at Beacon. Nature couldn't make a beast this deadly, so I did!

Ruby: Alright, guys! We got this!

The Mutated Deathstalker roared as it charged at the two teams. The Mutated Deathstalker began them with it's stinger. The two teams were able to dodge it's attacks. Zaku unleashes a powerful blast of sound at the Mutated Deathstalker, but the Mutated Grimm was unaffected by this. 

Zaku: What the hell?!

Merlot: He's looking hungry. No doubt he'll savor your taste as I savor my victory.

Before the Mutated Deathstalker could attack Zaku, Kin threw several needles at the Grimm. The vibrations from the needles slow the Deathstalker down long enough for Team RWBY and Sasuke to launch a coordinated attack on it. 

Merlot: This is impossible! You should be getting eaten alive by now!

Yang: How are we supposed to kill that thing?!

Ruby: We have to destroy the mask!

Weiss: But how?! It's moving too fast! 

Sasuke: Then we'll just have to find a way to pin it down!

Sasuke looks up at the ceiling. 

Sasuke: Yang, help me bring the roof down!

Sasuke charges up a Chidori strike while Ruby and Weiss along with Kabuto's team attacked the Mutated Deathstalker. Sasuke then launches himself at the ceiling along with Yang. The two each land a powerful blow which caused the ceiling to collapse, raining down debris on the Mutated Deathstalker, pinning it. Ruby charges at the Mutated Deathstalker and lands a blow on the Mutated Deathstalker with Crescent Rose. The weapon lodges in it's mask. It wasn't long before the Mutated Deathstalker broke free and attempts to attack Ruby with it's stinger, But Sasuke stepped in and landed a powerful Chidori strike which shattered the Grimm's mask, killing it. 

Merlot: No! Nooooo! My one of a kind specimen! This is inconceivable!

Sasuke: It's over, Merlot. You've got nothing left.

Merlot: There is something I can do.

Suddenly, alarms begins blaring across the facility. It didn't take long before they realized what was going on.

Weiss: Merlot is going to blow up the whole lab!

Merlot: Let's end this with a bang!

It wasn't long before explosions began to rock the facility. The two teams began making their escape. They dodged falling debris while navigating through the exploding facility.

Ruby: Kabuto, how close to an exit?!

Kabuto: There's a hatch that will take us to the landing pad!

Sasuke: Then let's go!

Wasting no time, the two teams navigated through the deteriorating laboratory. As they neared the hatch, a large debris drops, cutting Kabuto's team from Sasuke and Team RWBY.

Ruby: Kabuto!

Kabuto: We'll circle around! There's another hatch not too far from here! We'll meet back at Beacon! 

With that, Sasuke and Team RWBY continued on without Kabuto and his team. Eventually, they reached a hatch leading them to the ceiling.

Weiss: There! A way out.

Weiss: Let's hope the airship's waiting for us! 

The Sasuke and Team RWBY climbed the ladder leading to the landing pad. When they arrived, the airship was waiting for them.

Ruby: Everyone hurry!

Sasuke and Team RWBY rushed to the airship. Once everyone was on board, the airship began flying away just as the entire laboratory was consumed by the explosion. And with that, the threat of Dr. Merlot and his Mutated Grimm had been ended for the time being. But what they didn't realize was that Kabuto and his team had other plans.
