prologue
Neil was sorting his house. Re-modelling it more specifically. He heard a strange noise outside. He put the chest that he was carrying down and walked towards the window.
"What in the-?" He stared in astonishment at the white glowing orb in the center of their village. It started making the noise again. And then it just disappeared. Poof. Gone.
Neil stared at where it once was. Just then Sidney ran through the door of his house, wailing her arms around screaming,
"Prepare yourself! Prepare yourself!" She yelled to him.
"Whoa, Sidney, calm down, please. I just remodeled." Neil tried to get her to stay still.
"No. You don't understand! Someone. Is. SPAWNING!!" She yelled at him.
He didn't know what it looked like for someone to spawn because they hadn't had someone new in their village for 30 years. And he was the last one to spawn there.
"Oh, uh... When?" He asked looking towards the center of town.
"Any minute now. Prepare yourself because-" just then, then the ground started shaking. Neil fell over but Sidney kept her stance.
Just then there was a ear splitting noise. Like someone was scratching on a chalkboard. It was so loud they both had to put their hands over their ears.
"They never do that!" Sidney yelled at Neil.
"What?" Neil asked. Sidney stomped her foot out of frustration.
"I'm saying, they don't ever make that big of a noise!" Sidney yelled. Neil nodded in understanding.
The noise stopped, the shaking stopped, and Neil was able to get up off the ground.
"Is it over?" He asked. Sidney shook her head no.
"Its not over until the person spawns." Sidney said matter-of-factly.
"What if it keeps going?" Neil asked, getting curious.
"It won't. That's impossible for it to keep going once a person is out. But, rumors say, if there is two or more people that spawn in the same orb, the second one, or one of them if there's 3 or more, will be a glitch. Never the first one though. It's always the second or third or, well, it keeps going."
Neil nodded in understanding. He opened his mouth to ask another question when there was blinding light coming through the window.
He held his hands up to his eyes out of instinct. Sidney did the same.
The light died down until eventually it disappeared. Sidney motioned Neil to follow her. Neil and Sidney walked out the door and walked towards the center of town.
A bald guy wearing a cape with black eyes, with no pupils, was laying on the ground. A groan came from the man and he stood up.
Sidney gasped, and the man copied her. She gave him a death glare and he jumped, got down on the ground, and started whimpering. He was scared of Sidney.
She rolled her eyes and nudged Neil. Neil took his eyes off the man and gasped too. The orb was still there.
"Uh... Looks like we're getting a glitch?" Sidney said and started laughing nervously.
The man stood up again. He walked over to her and stared at her. Sidney backed up, away from him.
"Hi. You don't do that or copy someone. Its rude." Sidney said to him.
"Can he talk?" Neil asked her.
"No, not until a year." She answered as Neil nodded.
"I'm sorry..." the man said staring at the ground. Sidney jumped back in surprise.
"D-Did y-you just..." Sidney started shaking like crazy. She gained control of herself quickly. "What name is in your mind?" She asked him.
"Um... For some reason the word Notch is in my mind... Is that bad!" The man started looking around frantically.
"No, Notch is your name."
"How do you know?" Notch asked.
"Because that word is in your mind." She answered. Notch nodded.
The ground started shaking, worse this time. Sidney started running back towards Neil's house. Neil grabbed Notch's arm and ran towards his house too. Once him and Notch were inside, Sidney closed the door.
The same thing happened as before; noise, blinding light, and the sudden stop.
They did the same thing; walk out the door to investigate. Only this time she didn't gasp for the same reason. The orb WAS gone. But there lays 2 guys on the ground.
It seemed like one was ahead of another. The one on the left stood up first ~so he was obviously the older one~ then the one in the right stood up.
The one on the left looked around. The other did the same.
"W-Where am I?" The first asked. Sidney jumped back again. She quickly regained herself.
"Your in a village. What word is in your mind?" She said to him.
"S...St...Steve..." was what he managed out.
"Hero....brine..." the second one managed out quicker after him. Neil leaned towards Sidney.
"Which is the glitch?" He asked watching the 2 staring at Notch. Notch did the same.
"I think the twins are the glitch. Just the spawning together. You are only supposed to spawn one at a time if this ever does happen." She answered as she watched the 3 brothers hug each other.
"Oh... so nothing is wrong with them?" Neil asked.
"Nope. Other than them already being able to talk." She answered. She was still watching them.
Notch was gasping at them and they would look at each other and back at him, not really getting what he was doing. Notch kept on doing it. Finally Steve walked up to him and gave him a hug. Herobrine just stared. He was debating whether to join or just stand there.
They broke out of the hug when Herobrine decided to join. He looked at Steve and frowned. The next thing was random. He walked up to Herobrine, stared at him for a minute, then hugged him. Well, that wasn't that random.
Sidney couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Okay! Notch, Steve, Herobrine, come here please!" Sidney called to them. Moments later the were in front of her. Well, not Notch, he tripped over his cape by accident.
"Okay, umm, First, we are going to work on our building skills!" Sidney explained, "After building, we will go mining, and finally, c-" she was interrupted by Neil.
"NEIL!!!" Sidney yelled at him. He was trying to help Notch up, but by the time Sidney caught him, he was dragging Notch towards her.
"I'm sorry! I tried to help him up, but he said just drag him to you because he liked the ground better!" Neil explained.
These guys are going to be a handful... Sidney thought, looking at Notch sitting on the ground, and Herobrine and Steve having a staring contest.
"Okay, before I caught Neil and Notch-" she shot them a death glare, and watched as they shifted their body weight, not looking very comfortable,"- finally, we will learn combat." Sidney was FINALLY able to finish.
"Uh, what is those things?" Herobrine asked, in curiosity.
"You will see in the morning. It's almost night, so, you all will share a house with Neil until we can get you guys your own house."
"What! Why me!" Neil whined.
"Because, you have a bigger house than me. But I do have spare beds in my inventory," she said, pulling out 3 beds. She handed them to Neil.
Neil sighed. "Okay follow me. And, Notch, please get off the ground, it'll make this quicker." Neil said.
Notch got up, with the help of his brothers, and followed Neil. They walked into the house, and Neil put the 3 beds down side by side. They all ran up to the beds and collapsed on them. Neil laughed slightly as he walked over to his bed. He lay down and went to sleep.
