Before We Get Started

Let's start off with a quick explanation of what "Galavant" really is.

"Galavant" is an epic musical comedy fairy tale. Quite the combination, huh?

Named after its main character, Galavant, the show takes place in medieval times, remembering to poke a few jokes at modern times as well. It's praised for its wonderful humor, musical and singing talent, interesting plotlines, and everyone's favorite: romance!

The show aired on ABC, running for a single season until getting a second one after much fan demand. Currently, the plans for Season 3 are not looking good, as much of the pro-Galavant staff were fired due to money troubles from the show's poor ratings (even though this show deserves awesome ratings.), but people are hoping that Netflix, where you can watch both seasons, will pick it up and give us the third season the show deserves!

Don't worry, the second season had a good satisfying ending with enough open ends for a third season, but not too many as to be unsatisfactory. This book will feature both seasons, and if the third season ever comes to light, that one too. So enjoy the journey! Though, you might enjoy it more if you watch the show first. It's a real gem!

Some characters will be played by people of the opposite gender for the sake of personality and relationships, while other people who won't appear in the main cast will appear as guest stars for cameos!

The next chapter will be the cast, written down for your convenience if you wish to go back and remember who is who in the show. And also in case you forget who is who. But! There's a catch! All the roles will be hidden until they appear in the book! So the next chapter will begin with a short cast of the characters that appear in the first chapter and be updated AFTER each new chapter comes out.

Speaking of chapters, the book will be set up so that each chapter is a single episode of the show. So expect some lengthy chapters.

And since this is a musical show, they'll be songs! I'll provide the audio from YouTube so you can hear the rhythm and get an understanding of the pronunciation of the names, but for the actual show, go watch it yourself! I'm not here to cheat you out of doing work. You won't get the visuals of the songs (except for a very small few exceptions), nor will I include all songs. So there's another reason to go watch the show!

And as one last note, whenever I need to transition between scenes, by the way this will be told in third person, I will use my standard transition. [><] <--- This thing. So don't be weirded out by it. It just means we're transitioning scenes. When a song begins, the title will be displayed in italics with the video/audio following it. When someone speaks during a song instead of singing, it will be displayed in parenthesis. The transition box will also signify a song's end, though it doesn't necessarily signify a scene change. It might and it might not. You'll just have to figure that out on your own. Don't worry, it shouldn't be that hard.

So! Let's get on with the show!
It's time for you to know!
The tale of friend and foe!
The old legend of Darkavant!
