Chapter Two
Lightsaber color is Purple!
Although purple was the most highly requested, that's actually not the reason I chose it. At first, I wanted to give you all a choice but then I was like.. a lightsaber color represents the heart and mind of the person using it. And so I carefully studied the lore on every color and the ones that made sense to me were purple and blue. And I was so close to picking blue, but purple fits this y/n better due to the struggles she has gone through and the struggles she will go through and I believe they are all temptations to the dark side. She is an emotional person and guilty of attachments, but she is still loyal to the order and a good person.
She's a balanced individual.
More of her traits will be revealed and I'm sure you'll see why this color fits her the best (:
Also, purple will trigger Ani cause it'll remind him of Mace lol

(Y/n)'s POV
Sweat dripped to the floor, my body temperature had reached an all time high, my lungs burned for air, and my muscles ached as they begged for a break from the strenuous acts I was putting them through.
As soon as we started our quarrel — I put in my all.
I wanted to prove to my Master that I wasn't a child and was worthy of being a padawan, his padawan. And despite how this sparring session was going, I still think I did just that.
"You're done," His boot was on my chest — and not just his, but my own lightsaber was inches away from my neck. He had successfully disarmed me towards the end and held both his and mine in an 'x' formation.
So yeah, I lost.
But of course I did, he's Anakin Skywalker. The chosen one who has been crowned as one of the most superior Jedi's in the order when it comes to combat. I didn't stand a chance, I had set myself up for failure the moment I decided to advance against him. But the reason I still believe I proved my worth was because, despite him being the best of the best, I put up one hell of a fight.
And he knew that, I could see it in his eyes whenever I took him by surprise, one upped him, or nearly disarmed him — there were moments he was impressed with me and what I could do.
Both of us were breathing heavily as our eyes remained locked, "Anakin, you can let her up now." Master Kenobi spoke from the sidelines where both him and Ahsoka stood as they watched our session.
Master Skywalker looked away from me and to his former Master, causing me to smirk - he just broke the ultimate rule.
Before he could lift his boot from me, I grabbed ahold of his ankle with both hands and pulled as hard as I could. He yelped in surprise as he fell backwards, both lightsabers loosening from his grip.
I used the force to bring them both into my hands before they hit the floor and jumped up to my feet, "Never take your eyes off your opponent, Master." I said out of breath, now with my boot on his chest, and both weapons aimed towards his neck.
"Yes!" Ahsoka cheered loud — my number one supporter.
His eyes were wide with disbelief and I could see the steam coming from him, he was pissed that I got the upper hand, "It doesn't count, we were done." He snapped through his clenched jaw.
"A battle is never done until the opponent surrenders or is dead, and if I recall - neither happened." The words, 'I surrender', never left my lips and obviously I'm still breathing.
He unclenched his jaw and slowly smirked, "Is that so?"
I suddenly felt an uneasy twist in my stomach, and soon I understood why - the force was warning me about what was going to happen next.
Without even lifting a finger, he had used the force to throw me back.
I flew off of my feet, and dropped both weapons as I slammed into the back padded wall. I fell to the floor with a pain-filled groan, "You're a skilled fighter, I'll give you that, but I'm still better." He said in a cocky tone and I could hear his slow steps as he walked towards me, "You can't beat me Padawan."
The more I fought him, the more I'm beginning to see that the rumors were true. His skills in both combat and the force were impeccable, and it only made me want to be his padawan more. The amount of things I can learn from him can help me be the Jedi that I have always aspired to be.
"Then teach me to," I looked up and met his eyes. He paused when he was a few feet away, "You know I'm good, you can see that," I got up from the floor, "But I need you to help me be better." I said, breathing heavily.
I know he doesn't want the responsibility of me, and I don't want to be unwanted either. But at the same time, I'm going to get a Master eventually, and If I had to choose - I'd want it to be him. And I know I was uncertain about this when I walked in here, but the moment I saw for my own eyes how powerful he is - my admiration and desire for knowledge only grew.
With his teachings, I can be amazing, and I'll no longer be the Master-less Padawan.
He said nothing for a few movements, he remained in the same spot, glaring at me. Then, to my dismay, he shook his head and turned away with his back facing me, "Sorry, but I don't want a Padawan or to be responsible for your life."
"But I can hold my own," I argued, taking a few steps towards him, "I've been out in the war-"
He turned around and raised his hand, pinning me up against the wall and cutting off my words, "I said no."
"Have a choice, you do not," A familiar, grungy voice spoke and it echoed throughout the room, along with the tapping of a cane, "Down, put her." Master Yoda demanded with a stern gaze, and Master Skywalker reluctantly listened and gently put me back on my feet.
"Master Yoda listen, I-"
He raised his claw to cut off the words of Skywalker, "To reach the rank of Master, do you still wish?" He asked with a head tilt after placing his palm onto the top of his cane, "Hm?"
Master Skywalker nodded, "Yes Master." He sighed.
"The training of a Padawan, next step it is." He walked closer to where we were, his eyes on me before they shifted back to the man he was speaking to, "A good choice for you she is. Strong, smart, willful, courageous, respectful." He spoke highly of me and I couldn't help but smile, he always has been good to me. He even helped me through losing Master Ti. Granted it was a lot of medicating, but at least he tried, which is more than I can say for others, "Also rebellious, arrogant, reckless." He snapped his gaze to me again and I already knew which memory was going through his head.
You accidentally let a rancor loose one time...
Master Skywalker took a step closer to Master Yoda, a pleading look in his eyes, "It's nothing personal against her Master, I just don't think taking on a Padawan now, in the middle of an ongoing war, is the right thing. And if you say she's reckless, well that just makes me even more nervous." He folded his arms over his chest and side-eyed me for a second before looking back to Yoda.
Master Yoda nodded, "Mm, right to be concerned you are. Hard times it has become, many Jedi are falling," He sighed as his ears dropped slightly with grief, "But Padawan (y/l/n), is no stranger to the war."
His words caused my Master's gaze to shift to me, "What is he talking about?"
Oh now he wants me to talk.
"Well if you would have let me finish earlier instead of shoving me into the wall," I raised a brow, and he of course, rolled his eyes, "Then you would have heard me tell you that I've already spent a fair amount of time in the war. I was Master Ti's Padawan before she-" I paused, a lump forming in my throat that I had to swallow down, "Well you know." I glanced to the floor before I could see a shift in his expression.
"I'm sorry to hear that," He mumbled in a low tone, "But that doesn't change my mind, she's too young for this, and so is she."
"Speak for yourself Skyguy, she nearly wiped the floor with you and I bet I can take you too." Ahsoka challenged him. I had to suppress a smile, she is always trying to defend my honor - as a proper best friend should. And I of course will always do the same for her.
"What did you just call me?" He asked in annoyed tone, and I finally looked up to see the death glares being shared between them.
She crossed her arms and eyed him up and down — slowly, "You heard me."
"Hey, don't you get snippy with me or I'll-"
"Do nothing," Master Kenobi cut him off with raised brows, "She is my padawan and I will be the one to discipline her," He turned and looked down at Ahsoka, "I know it's difficult young one, but you must respect your superiors even if they get on your last nerve." He disciplined her with a smile.
My Master's face dropped into an expression of utter disbelief, "That's it?" He exclaimed, "You used to hit me with the hilt of your lightsaber if I acted up." He complained and both Ahsoka and I covered our mouths so we wouldn't laugh out loud and receive something similar. Yoda was just standing by, observing in amusement.
Master Kenobi rolled his eyes, "Oh hush, I never hit you, it was just a light tap."
"A light-" Skywalker scoffed as he shook his head, "I have a permanent bruise, right here." He pointed to his temple, where you could see a very faint red discoloration.
"You did that to yourself when you tried running from me and tripped on the carpet." He shrugged, "After I told you not to run."
Before Skywalker could continue the argument, each of our eyes were diverted to Yoda who was now leaving. His cane hitting against the floor is what gained our attention, "Too much bickering for me this is." He said, and although I couldn't see his face, I could hear the entertained smile he held in his voice, "The decision is final young Skywalker, your Padawan she will remain. And move to the room across from you, she will. First day training her starts tomorrow." And those were his final words before he exited the training room. Not even giving Skywalker enough time to protest his demands.
"You have got to be kidding," He sneered in annoyance as he walked towards the exit. He didn't say anything else to us or even look in our direction before he stormed out of the room to either chase Master Yoda down, or sulk like a toddler.
I took a deep breath as I looked to the floor. This was already hard for me, and it sucked that his reluctance to accept me was only making it harder.
I nearly jumped out of my skin when I felt a hand on my shoulder, "You alright?" My best friend asked with eyes holding sympathy.
"I've had better days," I forced a smile, "I just don't understand why he doesn't want me. I can hold my own well, and I won't be a burden to him on the field. I just want to learn form him." I confided in her, and I guess to Master Kenobi too since he was standing right there with us.
And he was the first to speak, "I raised that boy since the age of nine and he can be very stubborn," He sighed with a light eye roll, "But he'll come around after awhile. And I must say you fought exceptionally, Master Ti taught you well."
I smiled, that's something I always love to hear, that I'm actually doing a good job. I only wish it was my Master who said it, "Thank you Master Kenobi."
"Do you want to hear something exciting that just might cheer you up?" Ahsoka chimed in the conversation with a grin so wide and bright it puts the suns of Tatooine to shame.
"What?" I asked curiously.
"I will be moving to the room across from Master Kenobi's, and you will be moving to the room across from Master Skywalker's," She began and I nodded along, waiting for her to get to her point, "And they happen to be neighbors meaning-"
"We're gonna be neighbors!" I exclaimed, this news really did cheer me up. Our rooms now were on completely separate floors, and so visiting each other can be a hassle. Especially at night when we decide to go for a midnight snack run.
She nodded, "Oh yeah, and you know what that means?"
"Easier snack runs in the middle of the night?" I said quickly.
"I was gonna say that I would cut out a door in our joint wall but we can do that too." She smirked.
Master Kenobi interjected, "You will certainly not vandalize the walls. There's a hallway you can use to get to each other. And you both will have a mandatory bedtime." He said with authority as if we were children, "Especially you," He pointed at me, "Anakin is an early bird."
Great, the complete opposite of what I am.
"And speaking of bedtime," He's gotta stop saying that, I'm eighteen not eight, "Let's, go so I can show you both where your new rooms are."
