Screw the Code
✦
(Y/n)'s POV
Luke removed his hands from me and stood up, all curious eyes on him and on me, "Sister," He answered in a monotone. His gaze moved away from me, to the floor, "We got separated just before the order found me, and there's really nothing else to say on the matter." He walked away, and Anakin's suspicious eyes followed him, but he didn't make a comment.
Luke didn't ask me how I knew her name — why wouldn't he ask? Is he not curious as to how I, someone he met barely an hour or so ago, would know the name of his sister?
"Come on," Ani reached down and grabbed ahold of my arm before pulling me to my feet, "The mist is heading this way, we need to move away from it." He steadied me when I stumbled, still dizzy from whatever Luke gave me, "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" He asked, looking down at me with furrowed brows of concern.
I nodded. I looked over his shoulder at Luke who was walking away, Ahsoka next to him, "No, I'm okay." I met his eyes, "Have you told anyone about my—" I began to whisper, "Psychometry?"
He looked confused when he shook his head, "Not a soul, why?"
It seems he didn't catch what had just happened. Luke not batting an eye at my knowledge of a person I have never met. I thought about mentioning it to him, to get his input, but I decided against it. As I stated before, he makes situations a lot bigger than they need to be. I'll talk to Luke about what I saw eventually, maybe he was too shocked at the mention of her name to ask any questions. He did seem distraught.
"No reason," I rubbed my temples to soothe a minor headache I was feeling. The more intense the visions, the more intense the headache I get after, "Can we please just get off this planet before it takes us out?" I sighed, dropping my hand down.
If this season progresses as it's meant to, even the separatists will relocate, we'll get them then.
"You read my mind."

The Next Day
Anakin's POV
We've been back from that god forsaken planet since yesterday afternoon and (y/n) has yet to leave her bed. She caught a basic cold. Which is what she gets for galavanting in the rain, instead of staying in the tent with me. But I will say I'm glad it's nothing worse than that. Once I saw the symptoms, I locked her in the infirmary until they triple checked to make sure that it was only that. I can't be blamed for my reaction either, she's prone to disaster. With her luck she would have had some deadly disease.
"Are you sure you don't need anything?" I asked from her doorway as she coughed, "Soup? More medicine?"
She sat up, giving me a death glare, "Alone time and silence." She snapped.
I put my hands up in defense, "Whatever you say crabby." I turned and left the room with a light chuckle. Luckily the door closed behind me almost immediately, because I heard something smack against the thick metal. Meaning she threw something at me, "You missed!" I yelled.
A mistake on my part.
The door opened and she was already ready with another object in her hand, "I won't this time," She threw it and it wasn't until it was in the air that I could see what it was, "Get him." It was Lola.
I rushed away with a laugh as the droid followed me. She's a baby in my eyes, so this was like playing with a child and her beeps as she chased me were more like giggles of joy, "Too slow," I teased her and she tried to up her speed. She can only go so fast, and I was still faster.
I went to turn a corner to hopefully lose her so I could be crowned the winner, but I had to halt when my chest hit another's. The force wasn't enough to knock us off our feet, but we both let out groans of pain before steadying ourselves.
"I'm so—" I paused, noticing it was Luke, "Sorry." I finished, sounding less apologetic.
I know I don't know this man, so giving him a attitude may be considered uncalled for. But in my defense, he gave me attitude first... I think. I can just tell he doesn't like me in the slightest, so why should I be kind? Plus I haven't forgotten that he slammed my head into the wall, multiple times.
"It's fine," Luke mumbled, taking every chance to not look me in the eyes.
"Skywalker," Yoda, who was by Luke's side, addressed me with a polite nod and smile.
"Master Yoda." I returned the greeting.
He tilted his head, eyes curious, "Running in the halls like a child, why are you?"
My eyes widened, and I heard a whirring approaching me, "Thank you for reminding me." I smirked and turned just in time to grab Lola mid-air before she went head first into my temple, "Gotcha." I chuckled as she beeped in defeat, "My Padawan thought she was funny by sending her droid after me like a dog." I looked at them both, "All because I asked if she wanted soup. Uncalled for, right?" I shrugged innocently.
"Well according to her, you asked her about a million times," A voice I hadn't heard in quite some time brought pain to my ears like nails on a chalkboard. I looked over Luke's shoulder at Padmé approaching us, papers in hand. I haven't had a chance to talk to her since finding out that she told (y/n) everything. But I think I'm just going to let it go. I don't trust anyone more than my padawan and my fears were just that, fears. She doesn't look at me any differently.
But Padmé still is a huge pain in my ass, like any sister would be to a brother, "Why are you bothering her? She's sick." I rolled my eyes as I let Lola fly free. I expected her to leave back to her owner, but she stayed and buzzed around everyone curiously.
She rolled her eyes too and stopped next to Luke, "I was bringing her this," She pulled out a paper from her stack and handed it to me, "Next week I will be hosting the Senates ball, and all profits will be going to charity."
"Charity," I scoffed, "You mean the money is going to the war and the manufacturing of more troops."
She remained quiet, meaning I was right, before clearing her throat, "It will be going to a good cause Ani, and (y/n) seemed excited to go." The corner of her mouth tugged into a small smile, like she knew that would get me to agree to go.
She was right.
(Y/n) hardly ever gets a break or gets to have any kind of fun, so this will be good for her, "Fine I'll go, but I do not agree with the cause." I folded the paper and put it inside of my pocket, "We should be trying to end this war, not expand it."
She sighed with an understanding nod, "I know Ani, but we don't have a lot of choices right now. Not with the separatists gaining favor with the banking clan." She turned her eyes to Luke who was already looking at her, almost like he was admiring her, "Here's one for you too," She handed him one and then handed one to Master Yoda, "I hope to see you all there and please," She eyed all of us with a disgusted expression, "Don't wear those clothes."
All three of us looked at our Jedi attire, then at each other, "I don't see what's wrong with—" I began, before getting cut off.
"Suits, tuxedos, ties, or bow ties, I don't care. Anything but Jedi clothes." She said sternly, raising her brows like a mother would.
"Yes Padmè." Luke and I said at the same time, causing Master Yoda to laugh.
Him and I locked eyes for a brief moment before quickly looking away, "Come on Lola, let's get you back to your owner, and maybe now she'll want that soup. And we must let her know of your failure." I nudged my head down the hallway so Lola could follow me, "See ya later." I saluted them.
If there's one thing I love more than slicing through the separatist droids like butter, it's annoying my padawan.
Lola beeped loud for all to hear and I shot my head in her direction with wide eyes, "Who taught you that word? Because I know damn well I didn't program you to know it."
Luke's POV
That's one thing I did not know. That he he built Lola for my Mom, and then it went to Leia, and now she's mine. Although I haven't turned her on since we were kids. I always thought she was a gift from Uncle Kenobi.
I watched as he walked away and laughed. It's so surreal seeing him laugh, not his usual menacing laugh that I'm used to, but a real one. It's almost... peaceful. Almost.
I looked away and took a deep breath, before remembering that my aunt Padme was standing just two inches away from me. Someone I have missed dearly, and it hurt knowing I couldn't hug—, "Sorry, I'm a hugger," She said with a light chuckle after pulling me into the very thing I wanted from her, "It's nice to meet you, I'm Senator Amidala."
"Nice to meet you as well, Senator Amidala," I smiled down at her when the hug ended.
Her smile was as warm as it always was, the only difference was that she looked fully happy. In my time, she always had this hint of sadness in her eyes. She lost so much. She's one of the reasons I'm doing this, I want to keep her heart from breaking like it did when she lost my parents. Same goes for my uncle who never stopped talking about his love and friendship with Anakin Skywalker, never Vader.
"Here give this to Master Kenobi will you? I have to go to a meeting, but I can't seem to find him anywhere," She handed me an extra one, "And it's good to see you Master Yoda." She bowed to him before power-walking away.
"In a hurry today, everyone is," He laughed with a slight head shake.
I nodded in agreement, "Yeah everyone..." I trailed off when my eyes caught a certain individual down the hall, "I'll come by and see you later Master." I rushed away, hearing him laugh again.
He's come a long way since when I first arrived, he nearly beat me with his cane when I told him the reason I was here. He didn't believe me, he thought I was a wack-job—funny coming from him—but after a lot of talking, I was able to convince him of who I was. He too wants to stop that future from happening, he doesn't want to lose everyone or the order that he loves so much, and he also seems to really care for my Mom and Anakin—for some reason.
Now him and I are closer than ever, and we trust each other deeply. Basically, we're working together on this. Which is nice, I hated being alone as long as I was, it was miserable.
"Cal!" I yelled, stopping the red-headed boy mid-step. He turned around with furrowed brows. Understandably, this Cal doesn't know me, and it baffles me with how young he looks, he's younger than I am now.
"Yes?" He asked.
I stopped a few feet away, smiling, "Stop being a chicken and tell her how you feel."
His eyes widened, "Um what, I don't—"
"Ahsoka Tano, it's obvious you have a crush on her. So just rip off the band-aid—" As he used to tell me, "And tell her."
"But I—"
I walked over and patted his back, "Screw the code, be happy." I patted him again and walked away before he had a chance to say any kind of denial. According to the Cal in my time, he's been in love with Ahsoka since they first met, but didn't give in until years later due to the rules of the code holding him back.
He always told me his one regret was waiting as long as he did. He wished he would have said screw the code and told her the truth much sooner.
I smiled to myself, turning a corner, but what I saw next made my smile instantly fall. My father was standing in the hall not far from my Mothers bedroom, and talking to him was the scum of the galaxy — Sheev Palpatine.
I told myself if I ever encountered him to turn the other way. But the urge to grab my Father by the hair and pull him away from him was strong, too strong.
My legs had already started moving in their direction before my brain could process what was happening,
