*An Hour After Last Chapter*

Alesa lifted up the paper slips, reading them to herself. But she jumped when she heard movement behind her.

"A-Adam...don't scare me—" She started saying as she turned around, only to see the restraints broken and Adam still laying still on his back, not moving. She stood up, going over to him, she touched his arm. "Adam—"

"Get away from him!" Max shouted as he grabbed Alesa, pulling her back. "Alesa! We don't know what the extent of his abilities is right now, so don't go near him." Alesa looked at Max, her hands balled into fists.

"I know perfectly well what he is capable of and I am not going to treat him like a broken person! He is not a broke—"

"Alesa," Max said. Max glanced at Sky and back at her. "Do you really believe Sky can be saved? I want him back just as much but....he might be too far gone—" Alesa pushed Max off her, tears clouding her eyes.

"Adam is gonna be fine," Alesa said. Max looked up at Adam, he gasped grabbing her arm and yanking her behind him as he drew his sword, Alesa looked at Adam, seeing him sitting up.

"What the hell?! He is supposed to be unconscious!" Max shouted. Adam's eyes shifted to the two. He gets off the table facing Max. Max backed up when Sky got closer to them. Max gripped Alesa's arm, pushing her back. "Sky, don't make me hurt you." Alesa's back hit the wall, Max backed into her. Max gripped the sword. Max was about to swing the sword but Sky grabbed Max's wrist, stopping the attack. Sky twisted Max's arm, Max cries out and Sky threw him across the room, Alesa gasped, Sky looked at Alesa. She met his eyes. She shook her head.

"Adam, no," Alesa begged as Adam went closer to her. He grabbed her arm. She struggled slightly. "Adam! Don't! It's me...It's Alesa! Please!" Sky's grip tightens, his eyes looked at hers. She looked away from his eyes about to yank her arm free when he suddenly put his arms around her, hugging her. She stood frozen, she didn't know how to react, but when she felt him hug her tighter, she felt a warm feeling, a feeling she always would get whenever he hugged her. A feeling she missed the most. Alesa was gonna hug him but the doors open showing Seto and Brice. They both stopped, looking at Adam and Alesa.

"Seto! Do something!" Brice said. Alesa moved out of Sky's arms and moved in front of him, her hands out to them.

"No! No! No! Don't hurt him! He's not like the infected we have seen!" Alesa shouted. Max looked at Seto.

"He hugged her," Max said. They both looked at Max.

"What?"

"He hugged her? He didn't bite her?" Brice asked. Max shook his head. Alesa felt Sky's fingers touch her side before he fell backward against the wall and sunk to the floor, wincing. Alesa looked at him, she crouched down, touching him. She kissed his forehead.

"Shhhh, you're gonna be okay soon. I promise." Alesa said. Sky weakly picked his head up to look at her, she touched his cheek, moving down on her knees. She gave him a little smile before she hugged him tightly. "I'm not gonna lose you again." Sky bit his bottom lip, he buried his face into her neck, not speaking. She kissed his head. Her eyes look at the others. "I told you he is still here."

"I don't get it," Brice said. Brice looked at Seto. "Why isn't Sky attacking us?" Seto stared at Adam, unsure of what to say. He looked at Alesa, finally understanding.

"It's her. He isn't hurting anyone because of Alesa." Seto said. Brice and Max look at her.

"No, that's a dumb explanation," Max said. Seto looked at Max.

"Think about it, no infects act the way he does and he doesn't hurt Alesa. I mean, look at him right now. No infect lets you touch them and she's holding him right now. You can't tell me that it isn't because of her." He said. Alesa felt Sky's body go limp making her touch his neck, feeling a faint pulse. Her eyes soften, she hugged him tight. 'I'm never letting him go again.' She thought. She kissed his forehead, holding him tight. She moved his hair from his face, smiling a bit.

"You guys can save him, right?" She asks. They all don't answer, Alesa looked at Seto, holding Sky against her. "You're infected." They all look at Seto.

"What?" Max asked. Alesa looked at Max.

"His file is on the table, you didn't see it yet, you stopped at Jordan's. Adam has one, Mitch has one too. That's where he disappeared to, he was used as a lab rat. He-- Jerome." Alesa stopped, frozen, Seto looked at the door, Jerome and the rest of them stood in the doorway. Jerome stepped in.

"What about Mitch?" He asked. Rob, Vikk, and Preston followed him inside. Jerome looked over at the table seeing the files, he ran over but Max went in between him and the table, Jerome stopped, staring at Max. "Since when did you care about anyone? Move!" Max grabs Mitch's file, backing up.

"Look, Jerome. We all know how much Mitch means to you, so I don't think you should--" Jerome's paws balled into fists, he stepped towards Max.

"You better give me that file or I'll take it from you myself," Jerome growled. Max hesitated, he was about to speak when a panicked voice spoke instead.

"Seto? Seto!" Brice shouted, grabbing Seto as he collapsed, breathing heavily. They all looked at him, except for Jerome, Jerome grabs the file out of Max's hands and Brice laid Seto on his side. "Get Quentin! Or Ross now! Something's wrong! Seto!" No one moved, Brice looked at them all. "Guys!" No one moved still, Brice's eyes soften, he looked at Seto.

"He's infected, Brice. There isn't anything we can do." Alesa said. Brice tensed up, anger swelling in him. He looked at Alesa, who was still holding Sky.

"Says the woman who was just pleading with us to save Sky who is infected too!" Brice shouted gripping Seto's arm. Seto grabbed Brice's arm, his breathing steading. Brice looked at him, worried. "You okay?" Seto nods. Brice helped him Seto up, dizziness took over him, he leaned against Brice for support, touching his head.

"Y-Yeah, just dizzy," Seto mumbled. Brice gripped Seto's shirt, still looking worried.

"Can you walk?" He asked. Seto nodded. He helped Seto to his feet, in which Seto instead lost his balance and leaned into Brice for support. "I'm taking him to his room for rest, but we aren't done talking here?" Brice slips Seto's arm around his neck and they walked out. Jerome growled.

"We're going to get Mitch, now." Jerome snapped. Max looked at Jerome.

"I don't know if you know this, but all of the elites have been infected, and Jordan seems to be immune," Max said making them freeze up.

"Wait, really?" Rob asked. Max nods.

"Okay, where is he? He could help—"

"He's talking with Notch right now," Max said. Jerome's paws ball into fists. Jerome then walked out, Vikk, Rob, and Preston went after him.

"Jerome wait," Rob said. Jerome ignored them, Vikk grabbed Jerome's arm, yanking at it, stopping him.

"Okay, what?!" Jerome snapped. Rob stepped up, Jerome's eyes snap to him.

"Look, I miss Mitch too. I really do, but you don't know where he is or where you are going. So let's stay with them and—"

"All they want is to cure the disease to save Sky, and I—"

"You turned on Sky that quickly?" Preston asked making them look at him. Preston's eyes soften. "Jerome, you're the reason Sky got this far, you refused to give up on him, but someone mentions Mitch and...you turn on Sky without hesitation." Jerome shakes his head.

"No, no. No. Stop putting words into my mouth, Preston. I thought Mitch was dead, but now that I know he is alive, I'm going after him—" Vikk grabbed Jerome's arm again, pulling him back.

"What about Sky?! It's a mess here, Jerome. We know how you feel about Mitch, but you don't know where he even is, so just stay here. I want Mitch back but I want to know where he is first." Vikk said. Jerome looks at Vikk, about to speak when he saw Jordan.

"Jordan," Jerome said. The three of them turn around, looking at Jordan, Jordan's gripping his arm, leaning against the wall, his eyes closed, his breathing labored. Jerome went past Vikk and towards Jordan. "Jordan, you okay?" Jordan paused, collecting what energy he has left.

"Y-Yeah, I guess....need to...lay down.." Jordan mumbled off before he collapsed.

"JORDAN!"
