Streamsong was on a border patrol with Owlfang and Darkgaze and her apprentice Pondpaw

"So why do you think a nightclan patrol was going to Stormclan" Owlfang asked

"Maybe they are planning to attack Pineclan with Stormclans help" Darkgaze replied

And they finished the patrol and were going back to camp

"Hey me and Pondpaw are going to do some training can you go report to Halfpath" Streamsong asked

She and Pondpaw walked over to the training clearing

"Alright attack me" Streamsong said

And Pondpaw jumped at her but she stopped him easily

I have only been training him for a few days Streamsong reminded herself

"Can you teach me a battle move" Pondpaw asked

"Alright so I well be teaching you how to do the leap-and-hold" Streamsong said

"Okay how do I do that" Pondpaw asked

"First let say that it is better for a small cat facing a bigger cat but how you do the move is that you spring onto your opponent's back and if you were in a real battle you would grip with unsheathed claws and watch for them getting ready to roll because you don't want to get squashed" Streamsong answered

And Pondpaw followed her instructions by leaping onto Streamsong's back and hitting it with his claws sheathed

And she began the drop-and-roll and Pondpaw jumped off of her

Once Streamsong got up

"That was amazing" Streamsong said

He did it first try Streamsong thought

"Come on let's go catch some fish" Streamsong said happily

And the two of them walked over to a pond

"I Pondpaw fish at this Pond" Pondpaw said

"We are supposed be fishing not saying jokes" Streamsong said

And they fished for a while until they both got tired and they had caught a lot of fish

So they started bringing it home they needed several trips

And once they finished Streamsong let Pondpaw hang out with his siblings

"Hey Shardpaw do you know where Lilypaw is" Pondpaw asked

"She is with Ryepool right now" Shardpaw answered

"How did the training go" Tidewing asked

"It went amazingly Pondpaw did the move I was teaching him first try" Streamsong answered

"It sounds like he is doing good" Tidewing replied

"And we were catching fish until we both got tired" Streamsong said

"So I well most likely eat one of your fish or Pondpaws fish" Tidewing asked

"Yeah" Streamsong answered

"But if it was challenge who could catch the most fish Pondpaw would have won" Streamsong said

"Does that mean he is a good hunter" Tidewing asked

"Yes it does" Streamsong answered

They both watched the apprentices as they were showing off what they learned in the day

"You showed him how to do the leap-and-hold didn't you" Tidewing asked

"Yes I did" Streamsong answered

And they talked for a long time

"I'm going to go get something to eat" Tidewing said

"I think I'll join you" Streamsong replied

And they both had fish that her and Pondpaw caught

"That was good" Tidewing said

"But I'm going to head to my nest" Tidewing said

"Okay" Streamsong replied
