The Tag Method
Step One
- Get into a comfortable position.
- You do not need to be in the starfish position, just get comfortable!
Step Two
- Meditate. Let yourself relax. Maybe listen to a guided meditation. Do this for at least 5 minutes if you can.
- You may turn on theta waves/other calming music or sounds if you'd like.
Step Three
- Imagine yourself running through a corridor in your DR.
- Imagine that you are chasing after a character from your DR.
- Imagine your hands outstretched in front of you, trying to tag them.
Step Four
- Imagine that there is a door at the end of the hallway. It is cracked open, and you can barely see inside.
- You chase the person into the room.
- Pay attention to your surroundings.
- Chase them into another room of your DR.
- Again, notice your surroundings. This time, think for a moment. What does it smell like? What does it sound like? What can you hear?
Step Five
- Say affirmations as you run. Things like "I am (DR name)", "I am (DR age)", "I have shifted to my DR."
Step Six
- When you're ready, notice that you are gaining on the person, and finally tag them. Notice how if feels to touch them. Feel the fabric, or maybe just their bare skin.
Step Seven
- Continue to say affirmations ("I am", "I am not attached to any one body or reality", etc.)
