"Adam Caelum vs Ideci Alumi,"  the announcer's voice rang out. Adam's lips curled into a mischievous smile as he walked up to the ring. His opponent had the slightest sliver of fear in her eyes. She knew his name.

"Ready, FIGHT!"

Adam shot upwards as a pillar of stone behind him shot through where his head used to be.

"Don't get cheeky," he laughed.

He shot back down, narrowly avoiding a shower of ice spike in his direction. A ring of fire exploded outwards as Adam swept his leg around him.

His opponent shot herself up,  phalanx of ice shooting at his head. He darted to the side, missing them narrowly.

He blinked, and a ball of ice landed right in front of him. Then he jumped, funneling air below him before the ice exploded. Adam just smirked.

He fell, a crater in the ground, and with him he brought down a avalanche of fire. The fire fell over his opponent, and she let out a shriek before disappearing in the ground.

She popped back up behind him, breathing heavily.

A thin circle of ice flew over his head as he ducked. He swept his leg around, and fire shot out at her from behind him. He brought his hand up, and the wall of flames rose over her.

"No! No please sto-" she was cut off as fire devoured her, drowning all colors in oranges and red.

The sound of the bell announced her defeat, and the flames retreated at once.

There she lay, sprawled out on the ground, whimpering in pain with every one of her burns.

And the winner is... Adam Caelum.

Adam stood their with a smug smile, and evil one, it seemed.

As he turned to exit the arena, he heard her shrieks as she was lifted onto the stretcher. It seemed, his fire burnt far greater than others. He felt nothing for her though. Just another enemy to defeat, wasn't it?

"Good job," Adam was met with Ian's icy gaze as he lie horizontally over three metal folding chairs. Ian had already fought, and one with only a scratch on his forehead to mark.

"Thanks, you too," Adam reluctantly shook hands with him. Ian was different like this, powerful. Adam watched as his teammates parted to allow him a seat. He wasn't the only one with a reputation.

"Man, you know Ian Oculis?! The Ian Oculis?!" Max marveled.

"Meh. We were friends a long time ago," Adam shrugged.

"How did you meet?!"

Adam froze, just for a moment, impossible to catch.

"We lived in the same town," Adam lied.

"Why don't you tell me these things!" Max asked, thoroughly annoyed.

"You don't need to know everything about my life,"

"Show me your freeze flame again?" Alesa asked, curiosity lighting up her eyes.

Adam held out his palm with a smile, letting fire dance in it again before freezing into place. His smile masked the beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, as freeze flames were very difficult. He enjoyed seeing her eyes light up with awe whenever he froze a flame or make it change color.

"I still don't understand how you do it. I can't do it," she groaned as she conjured her own flame and failed to do the same. The flame's flickering slowed greatly, but failed to freeze.

"How do you do it?!"

Adam just shrugged. Alesa frowned, her eyes not matching the expression her face pulled.

"Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm the fourth best Pyro Magykian in Magna?" Adam chuckled, bringing Alesa along with a giggle.

They fell asleep on the couch that night, Alesa curled over Adam as they snored peacefully.

Adam's mother smiled gently when she saw them, thinking that her son was maybe, finally back to normal. She was wrong.

A/N: I just realized that there were people who actually wanted to read this (dunno why) and so I tried to scrape together a chapter for you. I don't know if I'm going to continue writing this because I honestly have no idea what is going to do with this story. If you have any suggestions, feel free to PM me. I don't know. Sorry. Also, it's midnight. I should be sleeping.
