Two years.

"Geez Adam, you're gonna set the building on fire!" The redhead exclaimed as a pillar of fire lit the supposedly fireproof wall. "Also, Adam, your cloak is on fire."

Adam chuckled as his royal red cloak flickered gently with bright purple flames. "Wait, watch this!" He exclaimed, and the group marveled as the flames changed color rapidly, from pink to blue, to green, to yellow, then going out to black.

"I still don't get how you do it so easily!" Max whined as he attempted to make his own fire change colors. The ball exploded into a flurry of black dust, and Max rapidly fanned it away from his face as he choked in the dust.

"Yah, youse got this projects done!" Barney exclaimed as he hung upside down next to Ross on the wooden beams supporting the massive sloped roof.

"I'm glad I'm not Pyro!" Ross squeaked, shaking his tail happily. "For Aether, we just have to make a tornado with something heavy!"

"I think that'll be harder than you think Ross," Adam chuckled as he leaned back against the wall.

"How would you know? You're not Aether," Ross jumped down on all fours, his bushy tail stood upright as he steadied himself.

Adam placed a finger to his lips as a tornado of black dust swirled in his other open hand. Flames danced in and out of the twister, changing color rapidly.

"You're a DUAL!" Max yelped in surprise as Barney fell from the ceiling. Magykians who could wield one of the elements were rare, and two was even rarer.

"Yup,always has been," Adam smirked.

"Don't let my dad know!" Red warned him. "He already doesn't like Magykians, and I don't he'd like a Dual any more."

"Well, he'll just have to deal with it," Adam smirked.

"On your marks..... Get set... GO!"

Mitch and Jerome zipped across the long stretch of track. They were faster than anyone the coach could think of, and their reflexes were quicker than a bullet.

"Guys! Can you stop for a moment!" A voice called out to them as he stood on the high bleachers.

"What?" The boys asked in unison as they slowed to a stop.

"School's over," Preston yelled from the bleachers.

"Oh. Thanks, Preston!" Mitch yelled back to him as Jerome bent down into all fours. His abnormally large nose morphed into a large black one, and fur sprouted over his face.

Few knew Jerome could do this, as he assumed his human form in public.

"I'm going one more time," he said to Mitch before speeding down the track.

"Oh look! I'm getting close!" Crainer exclaimed as a ball of glistening water started to freeze.

Ian only chuckled as the ball of water in his hand crystallized within seconds.

"I still don't understand how you do it so quickly!" Jordan sighed from across the table.

Despite Ian technically being 7 years behind everyone else, he did much better than anyone else here. He was stronger, faster, and he used Aqua with just a little more control.

"Good job Ian," the teacher called out to him, and he smiled faintly.
