Chapter 7: The Legendary Slenderwoman
Jeff: I've got you now!
Jeff was going to try and counter, but I would be the faster one on this day. I pull my leg back and turn my body completely around so that I can gain momentum.
That momentum was used to drive the same foot into Jeff's stomach.
He takes a few steps back and was winded after that, that's when I changed to offense. I threw many strikes that landed with pinpoint accuracy, wearing down Jeff's defenses with each blow.
I stop for a moment and give Jeff a moment to rest and think. I wanted to know if he gives up or continues, just for fun....you know?
Sensing his impending defeat, Jeff instead grew more desperate, resorting to increasingly erratic and unpredictable attacks. Now this was sort of smart, but I'm not one that you can easily fool.
My focus was unwavered as I continued to dismantle Jeff's offense and his pride. Then, Jeff leaves an opening and I decided to reveal some of my secrets.
Something emerges between the top of my arm and coat sleeve, a blade.
I stab Jeff in the gut with it, surprising him and my colleagues, I pull the blade out and watch as Jeff clutches his wound, with shock on his face.
Jeff: Wha-What the hell is that?!
I pull down my sleeve to show that I had a contraption around my forearm, with the blade attached to it.
Blue: A wrist blade, something I made myself, and it comes in a pair.
With a swift motion, I roundhouse kick Jeff in the face, sending him to the ground. Jeff was defeated once again, and it was by my hand like the first time.
Blue: Light work as always...I don't know why people fear you
Jeff: Y-You....shut up!
Jeff tries to get up, but I kick him in the face, keeping him on the ground once again. My wristblade contracts and is once again hidden.
Blue: You're weak
Both Norman and Lawson realised that it was over, but still approached cautiously, their expressions a mixture of relief and admiration for what I just did.
Blue: So....you convinced now that I did outman him?
Norman: Great job, Blue. You've done it again. That makes it 2-0 in your favor now.
Lawson: Impressive as always, Blue. You really know how to handle yourself in a fight, especially against people with a high body count like his
Blue: Believe me when I say it, but I was trained for more dangerous people than this guy.
Lawson: Right. I'll call for backup to transport him to the precinct.
Norman: And I'll inform the higher-ups about our success in capturing Jeff. You've done a great service to this city, Blue, actually....the world too.
Blue: Just doing what I had to, but I appreciate the recognition. Now, let's get Jeff secured-
Jeff: What the hell, man?! How are you so damn strong? Do you have some secret powers or something?
Before Norman could approach Jeff, the killer was found to be awake still and tried to get up. He struggled in the end and instead looked up at me in my eyes.
Blue: Sorry to disappoint you, Jeff, but there's nothing special about me at all. No secret powers, no hidden tricks. Just training, my Battle IQ....and understanding the limits of my enemies.
Jeff: Bullshit! Nobody's that good without some kind of advantage! You've got something locked inside of you! Right?! Zalgo knows!
Blue: Believe what you want, Jeff. But the truth is, I've worked hard to become the best at what I do. And that's all there is to it, Zalgo is watching me....but he should know by now that I'm just human.
Jeff: Don't you-!
Norman: That's enough, Jeff. You're not in a position to interrogate anyone.
Lawson: He's right, Jeff. You're lucky you're even alive after tangling with Blue here.
Jeff: Whatever, man. But mark my words, Blue Light, this isn't over. I'll find out your secret one way or another!
Blue: And you're welcome to try, Jeff. But I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you.

Just as the tension mounts, the atmosphere is pierced by a sudden darkness, followed by an eerie silence.
The three heroes wondered what could be happening, while Jeff caught on. Soon enough, Norman did as well, as he had experienced this feeling before....and knew what was going to happen.
They could all hear a strange static noise, and their vision was being obstructed by static vision. The only ones to feel pain was Norman and Lawson, while Blue only felt the blinding effect of it.
Standing a few feet away.....was the Legend herself, Slenderwoman, towering and enigmatic, causing Jeff's eyes to widen with relief.
Jeff: Slenda! I knew you wouldn't leave me hanging!
Norman: Oh no, not her again. This complicates things.
Lawson: [Nervously] What should we do, Chief?
Blue: Don't worry, Norman....Lawson. Let me take charge here
Norman: A-Are you sure?
Blue: Of course, it's me after all
Both Norman and Lawson took some steps back as fear overran their nerves. But Blue.....he didn't move at all, instead he stood his ground and maintained eye contact with the Cosmetic Entity.
Nothing was said as the two officers behind were witnessing a staring contest between the two. And they were amazed that Blue wasn't looking away at all.
His mind wasn't deterring against one of the more frequent abilities of Slenderwoman. If you look at her, she can make static appear in your vision, making your mind weak and bring you down.
But while Blue could feel the effects, he wasn't going to let it bring him down because he wanted to show Slenda something.
That he wasn't like the rest of the human race, he was different and for mysterious reasons as well.
Blue: You must be the Legendary Slenderwoman
Slenda: Indeed I am, human. I have heard a lot about you, but it probably pales in comparison to what Chief Norman knows
Blue: There is a lot about me, that basically no one knows
Slenda: I can see that, and I'm impressed. Chief Norman, it's good to see you again
Norman: L-Likewise....Slenderwoman
Slenda: And I see that you haven't made the option to give up and accept your fate alongside the rest of the human race. Instead, you brought in help from oversees, and it is an interesting little human, a bit young, but mysterious.
Blue: Don't let my age distract you from the fact that I've beaten Jeff unanimously twice now.
Slenda: Yes, yes. Very impressive, but I'm going to have to take him back
Blue: How about.....no?
Slenda: Release him now, or face the consequences....human
Blue remains composed, unaffected by Slenderwoman's presence, much to the surprise of his colleagues.
Blue: I'm afraid I can't do that, Slenderwoman. Jeff is a danger to society, I'm not just going to let him go like that.
Slenda: You know who I am, don't you? I can kill you at any point
Blue: And I don't care
Slenda: You underestimate the power of the darkness, Blue Light. Cross me, and you will regret it.
Blue: I'm not intimidated by threats, Slenderwoman. I'm all about the action
As tension escalates between Slenderwoman and Blue, Jeff looks on nervously, while Chief Norman and Lawson exchange concerned glances, unsure of what will unfold next.
That is until, Blue decides to speak, an idea forming inside of his head.
Blue: You have a great amount of abilities, right?
Slenda: I do
Blue: Can you see how many bodies a person has collected?
Slenda: Naturally I can, why do you ask? You want me to check you?
Blue: If you don't mind
Slenda: Hmm, fine. I don't know what you're trying to prove with this, but I doubt it will mean something.
Slenda would soon bite her words when she uses her powers to check the blood that Blue had collected with his hands. When she did, her tone shifted entirely as she got a proper read on it.
Slenda: W-What? This feeling, how many has this human k-killed? It's too much to even count, I can see why Chief Norman has high hopes for him, but where and when did he get the opportunity to do all of this? He is but a child!
Blue: Well?
Slenda: I must say, human. I am impressed, racking up that many kills for a young boy like yourself is nothing to shy away from.
Blue: I expected underestimation from you and the others, so maybe you will have a different approach to things.
Slenda: Don't think that these numbers will help you against us. I can always crush you, but you are rather interesting
Blue: Running away already?
Slenda: I don't have time for you, come along Jeff
Jeff: I-I kind of can't get up.
Slenda: [Sighs] Fine, I'll help you
Slenda uses her tendrils to pick up Jeff, and was ready to leave, but Blue wasn't going to allow this to happen. He goes in for a fight, and had his wrist blade ready, but Slenderwoman vanished with Jeff before Blue could come into contact with her.
Blue: Dammit.....
Norman: W-Were you really going to fight Slenderwoman like that?
Blue: Of course, did you forget who I am?
Lawson: This is the first fight we've seen you in. And while it was a spectacle for us normal people, we've got cosmetic entities to deal with here now.
Blue: Good, I don't mind that. Makes it more interesting and life threatening
Lawson:......God, you really are a weird kid
Norman: Haha, alright boys, let's go home. We may have failed to detain Jeff, but we did gain valuable information.
Blue: Yeah, Jeff isn't that guy

As the three leave the factory, the focus shifts to the side of darkness. In the depths of Zalgo's Shadow Palace, the air was thick with an ominous presence as Zalgo, the embodiment of chaos and darkness, sat upon his throne of bones.
His sister, Zalga, a twisted reflection of his malevolent power, stood nearby, her eyes gleaming with malice. Slenderwoman, having returned from her rescue mission, approached them with a sense of urgency in her graceful stride.
Slenda: Zalgo, Zalga....I'm back with some news to tell you
Zalgo: Speak, Slenda. What news do you bring that disturbs me?
Slenda: I have encountered Blue Light, so that I can save Jeff from capture
Zalgo: Jeff suffered defeat again? How unfortunate
Zalga: Was there anything new to discover about the human?
Slenda: Indeed, he possesses no supernatural abilities, yet his hands are stained with the blood of many.
Zalgo: Blood? Of many?
Slenda: I sensed no powers emanating from him, yet the amount of blood on his hands speaks of a darkness deeper than we can fathom.
Zalga: How many?
Slenda: It....It was too much to even count
Zalgo: This Blue Light keeps the intrigue on him. Next time, bring him to me. I wish to gaze into the abyss of his soul and uncover the source of his....soul
Zalga: And what of his fate, Brother? Shall we grant him mercy or unleash our wrath upon him?
Zalgo: That remains to be seen, Sister. But first, we must unravel the mystery that surrounds him.
Slenda: I shall bring Blue Light before you, and together we shall uncover the truth.
Zalgo: And what do you intend to do about this, Slenderwoman? I sense that you have your own ideas
Slenda: I intend to......offer him a position among us. He has shown me that he is skilled and is able to take lives, traits that could prove useful in our endeavors. And he has killed more than some of the others.....at least that's what I assume
Zalga: An offer to be an agent of darkness? You're willing to offer him this?
Slenda: I am
Zalgo: Are you certain this is wise, Slenda? To invite a mortal into our midst is to invite uncertainty and risk, and that's not mentioning the fact that he is with the authorities
Slenda: [Nods] I am certain, Zalgo. Blue Light has the potential to be a valuable ally.
Zalgo regarded Slenderwoman with a mixture of curiosity and approval, a rare flicker of emotion crossing his dark features.
Zalgo: Very well, Slenda. Proceed as you see fit. But remember, should he betray us, the consequences will be dire.
Slenda nodded her head in acknowledgment before vanishing into the shadows once more, her mission clear.
As she ventured forth to extend her offer to Blue Light, the shadows whispered of the uncertain future that awaited them all in the ever-shifting depths of the Shadow Palace.

[Unknown Warehouse]
Jeff: I can't believe it! That idiot got the better of me again.
Sally: It's okay, Jeff.
Jane: Yes, for us at least.
Jeff: Fuck you! Slut!
Jane: What did you call me?
Jeff: You heard me bitch!
Nina: Jeeeeeff! How does this nobody keep outsmarting you?
Jeff: I-I let my guard down!
Sally: He's a very smart human, always one step ahead of Jeff.
L. Jack: Well, he hasn't met the full force of me yet! And then there is Slenda and Zalgo! He should just give up!
L.Jill: Yeah, we'll show him what we're capable of! Right Jacky?
L.Jack: Of course!
Benny: [Sarcastically] Oh, I'm sure he's shaking in his boots.
E.Jack: Let us not underestimate him. Blue Light wouldn't be a threat if he wasn't skilled......
Clockwork: You're right, Jack. We need to think about this more, Jeff is a threat despite being lower than most of us
Jeff: Hey!
Clockwork: And I think this is why Zalgo wants us to....work together
Jane: Yes, together, we're unstoppable. We just need to stay one step ahead of him, before he becomes too much of a threat.
Sally: But most of you don't like working together, except for Jack and Jill
Nina: That's not true! I work well with everyone here except for Jane!
Jane: No one likes to work with you, or Jeff. You're both the weaker links, and that's not counting Sally who isn't like us...no offense Sally
Sally: None taken, I already know that I don't like to kill. I just scare people.
Clockwork: Didn't you kill your uncle?
Sally:......He deserved it
L.Jill: Exactly! Now back to Light Blue, you okay there Jeffery? You look pressed!
Jeff: [Clenches Fists] I won't let this happen again. Blue may have caught me off guard, but I'll make sure he pays for it!
L.Jack: Oh, come on, Jeff! You were so confident before. What happened to all that bravado?
L.Jill: [Giggles] Yeah, Mr. "I'm unstoppable" got stopped pretty easily!
The others, minus Sally, joined in the laughter, ribbing Jeff for his previous boasting, and for losing twice.
Sally: Umm, everyone. Let's not get too carried away. We've all faced setbacks before. It's how we bounce back that matters!
Benny: [Smirks] Maybe we should ask Blue Light to join us. He seems to be the only one who can keep up with the great Jeff the Killer!
The laughter continues, with Jeff begrudgingly accepting the jests as they start brainstorming their next move against Blue Light.
Jeff: You guys can laugh all you want, but Blue Light caught me off guard with some fancy gadgetry!
Jane: What kind of gadgetry?
Jeff: He had these blades hidden in his sleeves. They popped out of a contraption on his wrist. He called them wrist blades, and he had two of them. They just appeared from the top of his hand and forearm.
Benny: That's pretty slick. Sounds like Blue is a fan of Assassin's Creed! Kind of! It might be inspiration!
Nina: It's not that impressive! It just proves he needed to cheat!
E.Jack: He didn't cheat, he used what he trains with. We just need to be prepared for his arsenal next time. If he's equipped with weaponry like that, we can't afford any surprises.
Laughing Jack: Oh I love surprises! But yeah, we need to be ready for anything, he is hiding more, you can tell.
Laughing Jill: Agreed. We should each enhance our own arsenal too. Some of us have a wide range of abilities.
Sally: Maybe we can find a way to counter his weapons? Turn the tables on him?
Benny: Sounds like a plan. Let's show Little Blue that he's not the only one with tricks up his sleeve.
Jane:.....You know what? I kind of want to meet this guy. Get a firsthand impression of who we're dealing with.
Jeff: Oh, Jane wants to meet him, huh? Planning to seduce him with your killer charm?
Jane: Shut it, Jeff. I just want to see what he's made of.
Sally: I'm with Jane. I saw him once, you know. Saved a little girl from her mad father. He's not just some heartless investigator.
Jeff: That don't matter to me.
L.Jack: Ooh, meeting Blue Light sounds like fun! Maybe we can play some games together. You know, games that may or may not involve him dying.
Benny: Or maybe we could convince him to join us. I mean, he's clearly different from the typical investigators we encounter, they're dead by one encounter with one of us, yet he has survived two encounters with Jeff already.
Jane: I don't know about that, Ben. Bringing him into our world could be risky.
Clockwork: Yeah, I'm with Jane on this one. We can't trust outsiders, especially not someone like Blue Light.
Jeff: We aren't just going to accept him like that, you heard him! He wants to take us all down!
L.Jill: Plus, who's to say Blue Light would even want to join us? He seems pretty set on his own path.
The conversation turns serious as they weigh the pros and cons of involving Blue Light in their world, ultimately deciding to maintain their distance and focus on their own objectives.
It did seen crazy for them to even think about involving the Mysterious Detective into their ranks. But he was a killer himself, he might as well be since they didn't know who he had killed.
Were they good people? Bad people?
Only time will tell as the Feared Killers and Cosmetic Entities aim to discover more about the Sole Human that didn't fear him.
