Chapter 9
*Spicy scene at the end. Feel free to skip that part if it makes you uncomfortable*
Wisps of wind tickle the back of my neck as Lazarus and I half jog to his space ship.
"Lazarus," I giggle, half out of breath, half giddy because we've stopped numerous times on the way to make out.
It's never enough. I want to pin him against the side of the bottle aircraft next to us and kiss him with everything I have.
Time has been lost to me. I've forgotten all about the Plutonians gathered at the grand hall to celebrate my birthday tonight. Something tugs at the back of my mind, a memory trying to claw its way to the surface but Lazarus tugs my wrist and I forget all about it.
We finally reach his ship located at the restricted section of the massive hangar. Only the General's and Trinity's ships are kept here. We rush down the steps and I nearly trip in my gown when we cross the last rung.
Lazarus holds on to me tightly, as if afraid I will leave him at any second. He catches my fall, kissing my forehead before he laughs.
"How much did you drink tonight?" He murmurs in my hair and I close my eyes, every cell in my body filling with joy at our proximity.
I look up at him, my eyes finding his and he's so absolutely beautiful it makes my heart ache. "It's not the drinks that have intoxicated me."
His lips part and he looks like he wants to kiss me again, the hunger in his eyes making him almost animalistic.
"Come." His fingers intertwine with mine and he leads me up the platform that has opened up for us.
The smell of my favourite flower from Cixin hits me first and I look around his ship to see that he has laid out all of my favourites, making the control room look like a small nursery. Air humidifiers send cooling blasts of mist from the top four corners of the room and Lazarus keys in our coordinates, readying us for lift off.
I watch him work, watch the muscles in his forearms flex as he pulls lever after lever, securing our forcefields and activates the magnetic sensors that will keep our feet on the ground.
Once he is done, he pours us both a drink and the bubbly fizzles deliciously inside my flute as I take it from him.
"To you," He says, clinking his glass gently to mine. "Happy birthday to my favourite person in the entire galaxy."
I blush profusely even though I know he's always been a smooth talker and that he might be over exaggerating.
"To us," I say in response and his eyes light up in surprise. He looks uncertain when he takes a sip of his drink, making me wonder if he doesn't believe me.
"Why do you always doubt me when I choose you? You know how I feel. How I've always felt." I say tentatively after a short pause. I can't help myself, even though a part of me is afraid this question might ruin the fun we've been having so far.
Lazarus purses his lips looking hesitant. The silence that ensues makes my stomach churn with apprehension. For a moment I wonder if he will turn the ship around and head back to Pluto.
Finally he sighs, a deep long sigh making it look like he's releasing a year's worth of pent up tension.
"Because..." His eyes dart to the walls and then the ceiling, looking anywhere but at me. "Because no one ever chooses me."
He finishes his drink in one gulp and then turns around to refill his glass.
I stare at his retreating form, watching him and a heaviness grows in my chest. Has he always felt this way? I've grown up viewing him as this enigmatic, passionate, gregarious sort of person. I always thought this was a part of his character, his charm.
Now I wonder if it actually came from a place of insecurity.
Lazarus lingers at the bar console so I walk up to him and stand by his side. "I need a refill too."
He's quiet as he pours more bubbly into my flute. "This is not how I planned for the night to go." He turns to me, an embarrassed smile gracing his features. "Now you must think I'm this Plutonian with major insecurities. A flawed being."
His words make me smile. I'm learning different angles, different sides of him and it only makes him more beautiful in my eyes. I reach out and tuck a lock of golden hair behind his ear. The gold intermixes with the silver, making him look surreal.
"No. It only makes me like you more. Makes me understand you better."
Lazarus closes his eyes and leans into my touch. He lets me carry the weight of his head for a few seconds, lets me carry the weight of his worries and insecurities.
He snakes an arm around my waist and pulls me to his side, moulding my body to his. My fingers are still in his hair and I lean into him, breathing in that fresh oceanic smell that belongs only to him.
"Thank you." He murmurs and we remain like that for awhile. Both silent, both content with each other's presence.
We settle unto a small sofa bed with our flutes of bubbly and a blanket to cover our bodies. I lie against Lazarus's chest while he plays with the material of my dress.
"You know when I saw you in this today, all I could think about was how nice it would be to rip it off your body." Lazarus murmurs, his finger lingers on my thigh and his touch sends tingles up my spine.
I swallow at his words, an ache growing between my legs. I cross them over each other and he grins knowingly.
The control board alerts us that we will be landing soon and I peer out the window, eager to see our destination. Lazarus still hasn't told me where we are going.
He chuckles and places a palm over my eyes. "Patience darling. You will know soon enough."
"You know I hate surprises." I answer playfully and place a palm over his pants, dangerously close to his inner thigh and then move higher. He tenses slightly and I smile, glad that I was able to elicit such a reaction.
He nips at my ear gently and then licks my ear lobe. "Easy Luna. We have the entire night."
I gulp in response, my heart suddenly racing in anticipation for what he has planned.
We exit the ship and the earthy smell of Cixin immediately floods my nostrils. Even though my eyes are closed I know we have landed at the Plutonian base on Cixin, our biggest supplier of fresh herbs and perfumes.
Since our artificial atmosphere replicates this one, we both don't need breather suits anymore. I deactivate mine just as Lazarus does the same and he greets the Cixin ambassador through an earpiece.
"I know where we are, you know." I say with my eyes closed.
"You still don't know where we're headed. Keep your eyes closed, Luna." There's a dominant tone in his voice that excites me to the core. I close my eyes and obey him.
We board a platform and I feel us going higher and higher. The air becomes clearer, more crisp and the humidity decreases the more we ascend.
Lazarus wraps his arms around my waist from behind and then whispers into my ear. "Okay, now you may open your eyes."
He kisses my neck and my eyelids flutter open. My mouth parts when I see us in an open air platform, heading higher and higher into the skies. Mountains surround us from all sides as we cut through wisps of clouds.
We finally reach the top of a lone mountain and I see a small cabin with wines and flowers covering almost every surface. Our platform stops just in front of the entrance and I still when I see my name on the door.
Property of Luna V.
Lazarus's chin touches the side of my head as he leans forward and presses a button on the holographic keypad outside the door.
"Say your name," He instructs.
"Luna," I say in a breathless voice.
"Now it has been programmed and only your voice will allow entry." He says. The door opens and we step inside.
A fire lights up automatically and fills the space with warmth. I walk ahead and stare at the state of the art kitchen, the sofa set and tv consoles. There are two rooms on either side of the living room. A quick peek tells me they're both already equipped with beds, cupboards and side tables.
I finally turn around and Lazarus watches me tentatively, looking nervous. "Do you like it?"
"You made this for me?" I put my hands out and turn around, gesturing at the space we're in. "How did you find this spot? How did you make it all the way up here?"
I'm so gobsmacked, I find it hard to believe that throughout his busy schedule, Lazarus found the time to prepare something like this for me.
"It's taken some time. I built this from scratch, by myself." He says proudly when he notes the appreciation on my face. "It took me about a Cixin year. But I had some help with the platform, not going to lie."
I rush up to him and hug him tightly, catching him off guard. "I love it. I love every single square inch of it."
Lazarus hugs me back, arms wrapping around me tightly. When we pull apart he takes me on a mini tour and it shocks me how much he's noticed thought out the years.
"Remember that broken painting you cried about when you were fifteen?" He points to the wall over the tv and I see the painting has been put back together, a picture of the mythical sand creatures of Scythia snaked throughout neutral tones of brown and yellow.
My father had ripped it to shreds out of anger and I thought my staff had thrown it away. Now it's here, all patched up and brand new.
"This is the glass you used to use all the time when we were kids. You were forced to throw it away, remember?" Lazarus says and I stare at him incredulously. Even I had forgotten about this.
"I had it fixed up for you. And now it's here. This is your safe space, Luna. Somewhere for you and you alone. Or a companion, if you choose it," Lazarus smiles slyly. "Preferably me of course."
I laugh and pull him towards me, kissing him hard. "Thank you. This is the best present ever."
"Oh this isn't the main present." He smiles wickedly and pushes me down onto the couch.
He bends down before me and pushes my knees apart. "This is."
My heart lodges in my throat and I begin to throb as his hands traverse the smooth skin of my thighs. His eyes never leave mine and I realise I'm wet before he rips off my underwear.
"I've been wanting to taste you all night." He murmurs, leaning forward. He pushes my skirt to the side, revealing my core to him.
This is the first time anyone has ever seen me so bare but I don't feel like moving away or stopping him. This moment feels right, it was always meant to be him.
I tilt my head back and sigh when I feel his hot breath on my skin.
"You're already so wet for me, Luna." Lazarus says in a husky voice that makes me throb even more. When his tongue finally meets my flesh, I jerk back, everything already too sensitive, he has to hold me down to keep me from moving.
His hold is firm and possessive, I squirm against him as he licks me in a practiced manner that tells me he knows exactly what he's doing, he nips and sucks and licks me in all the right places making me lose all train of thought.
I feel some pressure when his finger penetrates me and he continues sucking on my clit, putting in another finger and then another. There's some pain at first but then the pleasure builds up in a crescendo and I feel something build in the pits of my belly.
I cry out when he picks up the pace, his fingers and tongue moving faster and faster. Something happens, it feels like I've tipped over the edge and a dam bursts within me. I feel the sensation pour all way down my legs and slump in exhaustion against the couch.
That was the most euphoric thing I've ever experienced.
I look down at Lazarus and he licks his lips, making my core throb again. There's a noticeable bulge in his pants and he has to stand up to adjust himself.
I feel thick with need. I want more, I want all of him, every inch.
He catches me staring at him with wide delirious eyes and he leans down and presses his lips against mine. I taste myself on him and pull him towards me, wanting to kiss him forever.
"Happy birthday." Lazarus murmurs with a self satisfied smile on his face. He knows his effect on me but I'm not done with him just yet.
I fumble for his pants and unzip him. The sight of his erect cock makes me bite my lip, he's bigger than I imagined. I wonder if he will even fit.
Lazarus's gaze fills with lust when I reach out for him. He guides me as I stroke the length of his cock, muttering profanities when I touch his tip already wet with precum.
"See how hard you make me." He says. He carries me bridal style to one of the bed rooms and lays me down gently on the soft sheets. We undress each other until we are both naked and he fondles my breasts, his gaze wandering over my body in appreciation.
He's on top of me and I can feel his tip graze against my core, making me throb again. I pull him towards me gesturing for him to go in and he slowly slips inside. He's definitely bigger than I expected and I gasp as I try to adjust. He's not even fully inside yet.
"Luna, we don't have to. Not tonight." He runs a hand through my hair, staring at me with profound adoration.
"No, I want to," I say stubbornly. "Don't hold back, Lazarus. You know I can take it."
I hold on to him and his eyes fill with pure lust. Without warning he pushes himself inside fully, pulls back and then goes in again, deeper. I bite my lip and he kisses the side of my head as he continues.
"Say you're mine, Luna. Every part of you. Every cell, every organ, every heartbeat. I want it all." He says repeatedly against my skin, between each thrust.
I can barely speak as the pain quickly shifts to pleasure. He hits me in the exact spot that turns my mind numb. I can hardly think.
"I'm yours, Lazarus. Always."
Our mouths find each other and he picks up the pace, making tears of pleasure fall from my eyes. I cum so hard that my body feels numb by the time he's done, like I'm floating but Lazarus is not done.
He flips me around and takes me from the back, going deeper than I thought imaginable.
He goes fast and hard, making me cum again and again before he finally does himself. We collapse on the bed and he pulls me to him, wrapping his arm around my waist possessively.
We stay like that for a long time, both taking the time to catch our breaths.
"There's no turning back now, Luna. You're mine forever." Lazarus breaks the silence after a while.
I smile at his words and kiss his fingers. "I have no objection to that. I'm just so happy you changed your mind. The last we met you said we couldn't have anything because of Lucian."
I turn to face him and watch him stare at the ceiling, his face darkens and I regret bringing up our best friend.
"There's no need to worry about him. I have a plan. I'll take care of it."
I frown at his words and despite the warmth of the cabin and the warmth of his embrace, the expression on his face sends a shiver down my spine.
