The Next Day

You awoke to them same warm feeling that the sun gave you as you opened your eyes and sat up from bed as you hopped out and did your set of push-ups and sit-ups. After that, you set up your uniform and bag on your bed as you walked out of your room and went towards the kitchen where your dad was sitting, but something was off. Your dad was had shaved and was wearing a suit as he drank coffee while reading a newspaper.

"Dad?" You called as he looked over to you and put down his cup of coffee.

"Ahh, Y/N, I made your breakfast and got you more juice." He said as you sat down in suspicion and stared intently at him which made him uncomfortable. "U-Uhh, is something the matter?" He asked.

"You're in a suit....a suit.....A SUIT....." You said as he was even more uncomfortable. "Do you have a date or something?" You asked as he spat his coffee before laughing and standing up.

"Hahaha! Why? Do you think I could actually get a girl?" He asked while standing up proudly and showing off the full suit.

"Y-Yeah, sure..." You said with an awkward smile while looking away. "He looks like he's ready to file someone's taxes..." You thought in your head.

"Well, actually, I've got a little job that I have to do. Some old coworkers called me in and told me to fill in for a friend who got hurt on the job." He said as he sat down.

"Ohh, what happened to him?" You asked.

"I don't know, they didn't tell me. Well, I guess we're both heading out for the day. You walking?" He asked as you nodded while finishing a plate of food.

"Well, whatever you have planned today, good luck." You said as you closed the door to your room and got into the shower.

As you were showering, you heard your phone go off next to the sink and rinsed your face off before leaning out and picking it up to see that you had multiple texts from your classmates, asking if you were still okay and if you were going to school. You smiled and put your phone down and finished showering before you wrapped a towel around your waist and exited your bathroom to find a woman who looked exactly like your mother sitting on your bed with a smile as she waved.

"Yo." She said with a smile.

There was silence between the two of you as you both stared at each other before your turned bright red.

"A-AHHHHH!!!!!" You yelled as your dad came through your door.

"What's wrong!? I heard a little girl scream!" He said as he looked around the room. "What happened?" He asked as you glared at him in embarrassment.

"A-A little girl!? W-Wait! Never mind! Who's she!?" You yelled as you pointed to a now empty bed.

"Who's who?" He asked as you turned to the bed in shock.

"N-No! There was a girl here who looked like mom! She was sitting right here!" You said as your father came over to you.

"It's alright son. I still haven't let go of her either. And deep down, I know she's still here with us. In here." He said as he pointed to your heart. "You wanna talk about it?" He asked with concern.

"N-No...I just..." You trailed off as you sighed and rubbed your head. "I guess I'm just seeing things." You said.

"Alright, you ever wanna talk, I'm here for you son." He said as he walked out and closed the door.

You sighed as you leaned your forehead against the door before turning around nad getting changed. Once you finished tying your red tie on your uniform in the mirror, you looked at yourself before seeing the reflection the same girl again as she tilted her head and sighed.

"Your father is still as sweet as ever." The girl said as you gasped and jumped back slightly.

You looked closer at her, and after taking a good luck, you had no doubt in your mind that you knew this person deeply as she smiled at you and you teared up.

"M-Mother...?" You asked as she smiled.

"Hi baby." She said as you slowly approached and dropped to your knees in front of you.

"B-But...Are you...?" You trailed off as she shook her head with a sad face.

"I'm sorry, I'm not alive, I'm just in your head." She said as you looked down in sadness and let a few tears fall. "Y/N, you have no idea how proud and happy I am to see you how much you've grown." She said as she lifted your head and wiped your tears.

"Y-You never left me, did you...?" You asked.

"Never. Like your father said, I'll always be in here." She said while placing her hand on your heart which gave you a warm, comforting feeling. "I saw you decided to take on my hope of being the Symbol of Hope." She giggled as you turned a light shade of red.

"I-I thought it'd make you happy." You said as she smiled brightly.

"I was already happy when I had you with your father. I'm so proud of you." She said as you wondered.

"Wait, so...am I crazy?" You asked as she giggled a bit before laughing.

"No sweetie, you're not. I'm just letting you see me, because I came here to tell you something important that will aid you in your battles in the future." She said as she adopted a serious look.

"What is it?" You asked.

"You will need to befriend someone that you will meet in the future. If you and him join forces, there's no way any villain can stop you two." She said.

"But, who is it?" You asked in confusion.

"You'll know when you see it. Watch out for the blonde spiky hair, it'll turn up out of no where, and don't mind how prideful he can be." She said as she slowly began to fade away.

"M-Mom! What's happening?" You asked in a panic as she raised her hand with a smile to calm you down.

"I'm merely out of time for now. I'll continue to watch over you son, and you'll know who to befriend when you see them. Until next time, darling." She said as she gave you a kiss on the head and sparkled away as you tried to reach out for her.

"Mother..." You spoke softly as you buried your head in your bed while sobbing lightly.

After letting your tears fall, you wiped your eyes and cleaned your face as you picked up your bag and walked out your room to see your father left. Looking at your phone, you saw you were going to be late, and in a rush, you leaped to the roof tops and flew over to U.A. As you looked down, you saw Midoriya running through crowds before flying lower and making people gasp and yelp as you grabbed onto Midoriya which scared him.

"AHHH! WHAT'S GOING ON!? WH-WHO GOT ME!?" He asked in a panic as he looked up and saw you smiling down at him. "Y-Y/N-kun?" He asked in surprise.

"Yo, saw you were running and decided to help out." You said while flying through the air.

"Th-Th-Thanks!" He said in slight fear of you losing your grip and him falling.

As you neared the school, you descended to the ground and dropped him on his feet as you landed next to him. As the two of you walked along, you noticed Tsu was near the entrance looking at her jacket and you felt an uneasy vibe coming from her.

"Hey, Midoriya. I'm gonna go, I'll see you in class." You said as you ran off.

"O-Okay!" He waved as you caught up to Tsu.

"Tsu! Good morning." You greeted her as she looked at you and smiled.

"Good morning, Y/N-kun." She said before going back to looking at her jacket.

"Is something wrong with it?" You asked as you saw a small tear. "Ohh, how'd that happen?" You asked.

"I don't know, it wasn't like this yesterday. I don't know how to sew, Ribbit..." She said lowly as you suddenly handed her your jacket. "Ribbit?" She asked in surprise.

"You could use it more than me. I know it's not a girls jacket, but it's technically the same, right?" You asked as she looked at you with a slight blush and her heart was racing.

"S-So nice..." She thought while getting lost in your eyes.

"Tsu? Tsu?? Tsu!" You raised your voice and got her attention. "Are you alright?" You asked.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine." She said as she took a hold of your jacket.

"Well, come on. Let's not be late." You suggested as you walked along with her to class.

As the two of you talked and entered the class, Tsu froze when she felt death glares aimed at her head as she turned to see all the girls staring at her with dark auras and scary eyes.

Just then, Uraraka and Midoriya walked in and went to their seats while greeting you as you walked over to Momo and her attitude changed from dark jealousy to a bright happy mood as she scooted her desk closer to yours.

"Good morning, Y/N-kun." She said with a smile as you waved at her.

"Good morning, Momo-san." You said as her heart melted from your voice.

"Hey, Y/N-kun, why does Tsu have your jacket?" She asked in wonder.

"Ohh, her jacket was torn, so I offered her mine." You said to her.

"Ohh, I see..." She said as she glared at Tsu who was wrapping the jacket tighter around herself. "I need that jacket." She said to herself.

Just then, Iida busted through the door and stood at the podium to speak loudly to everyone.

"Everyone! Morning homeroom is about to start! Stop talking and take your seats!" He yelled as everyone was already sitting except him.

"We're already in our seats." Kaminari said.

"You're the only one who's not." Kirishima followed as Iida sat down in his seat, shaking with embarrassment.

"Shoot!" He said.

"Don't worry about it." Uraraka tried to reassure him while posing behind him.

"Tsu, who's..." Mina trailed off as she was leaning back to Tsu behind her, but almost fell before Tsu leaned her forward to hell her. "...gonna teach homeroom today?" She asked.

"Well, Mr.Aizawa is suppose to be in the hospital recovering from his injuries..." She mentioned before the door open and caught everyone's attention.

When you looked towards the door, your jaw dropped to the floor as your eyes were as wide as they could go.

"You....You can't...!" You said in your head as the teacher walked in and placed down a case on the desk before turning his head to reveal your father was the substitute.

"Morning all you future heroes! I'm Mr.L/N! Or better known as the 'Elite Warrior'. Your substitute homeroom teacher!" He announced with a proud smile.

"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!!!" You yelled as everyone's eyes shot back towards you with interest. "SHIT!" You yelled in your head while leaning back in your desk.

"Well, it's nice to see you too, son. Anyways, after they forced Mr.Aizawa to stay in bed, they called me in to be your substitute teacher, and today, I've got some important information for you all." He said as everyone turned back towards him. "Before the really important news however, there's someone new to the class as well. Everyone, please welcome Mr. Ryu Shiozaki." Your father said as you went wide-eyed and gasped.

Everyone watched as a new student walked up to the front of the class and had a confident smirk as he put out his hand to everyone.

"I guess I have no need to state my name to you all, so I'll just say this. Don't underestimate me, you'll be surprised at what I can do to someone if I get angry." He said as you stared at him jaw-dropped.

"What did you say, you basta-!" Kirishima covered the mouth of an angry Bakugo while bowing apologetically.

"Alright, why don't you take a seat next to..." Your father trailed off as he looked at a seating chart that had the names of everyone and ran through names before stopping at one. "...next to Mr. Izuku Midoriya." He said as your Riku put his hand down and walked over to the empty seat near Midoriya.

As your father continued on, you were staring at Ryu with intent as he sat in his desk with a bored look on his face. Just as you were going to whisper to him, your father said something that caught everyone's attention.

"More importantly, the fight is not yet over." He said as everyone was silent and slightly nervous.

"Fight?" Bakugo wondered.

"Don't tell me..." Midoriya spoke lowly.

"The villains again...?!" Mineta quivered and shook in his chair with fear as Ryu looked at him from the corner of his eye as he stared at the orbs on his head.

"What is he...?" He wondered.

"The U.A. sports festival is drawing near." Your dad said as everyone smiled and yelled.

"That's a normal school event!" They yelled in unison as you and Ryu were confused. "The sports festival!" They said excitedly.

"That's a super normal school event--" Kaminari cut off Kirishima and pushed his face away as he spoke up.

"Wait a minute." He said as Jiro spoke up.

"Is it okay to have a sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" She asked.

"What if they attack us again or something...?" Ojiro asked.

"Apparently, they think of it as U.A. showing that our crisis management system is as solid as rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years. Above all, our sports festival is a huge chance. It's not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains." He said as Mineta had a scared look on his face.

"But that's a good reason, isn't it? It's just a festival of sports." He said out loud as Midoriya turned to him.

"Mineta, you've never seen the U.A. sports festival?" He asked.

"Of course I have. That's not what I meant!" He replied.

"Our sports festival is one of Japan's biggest events. In the past, the Olympics were called a festival of sports, and the whole country went crazy about them. As you know, with reductions, in scale and population, they're now a shell of former glory. And now, for Japan, what has taken the place of those Olympics is the U.A. sports festival!" Your father said loudly with a smile.

"Of course, all the top heroes around the country will be watching. For scouting purposes!" Momo said while clenching her fist.

"I know that." Mineta said while looking back at her.

"After we graduate, it's typical to join a pro aagency as a side kick." Kaminari said while looking at Jiro.

"A lot of people miss their chance to become independent after that and become eternal sidekicks, though. Kaminari, I feel like you'd be one of them. Since you're dumb." She said as Kaminari felt hurt froze up.

"Of course, joining a famous hero agency will get you more experience and popularity. Time is limited. If you expect to go pro, then the path to your future will open up at this event. One chance a year--a total of three chances. No aspiring heroes can afford to miss this event. If you understand that, then don't slack off on your preparations!" He said excitedly. "Homeroom is dismissed." Your dad announced as you saw Ryu smirk while clenching his fist.

"I'll be the top hero, and when I show everyone my strength, I'll become number one and surpass that bastard. It is my destiny." He said to himself.

As your dad left to go to the teachers lounge, you moved over to Midoriya as everyone was talking all about how excited they were to be participating in the festival.

"Everyone's so into it." Midoriya said.

"You're not?" Iida asked as he got up from his desk.

"Yeah, I mean, we enrolled here to become heroes, so of course we'd all get fired up." You said.

"Yes! That's right, Y/N-kun!" Iida said as he began to weirdly shake around in the spot he stood in.

"Iida-chan, you have a unique way of getting fired up. It's weird." Tsu said as you patted her on the head and she blushed before leaving with Mina.

"Midoriya, you don't feel the same?" He asked while pointing his hands at him.

"Of course I do. But something's..." Midoriya trailed off as you felt a strong aura next to you three.

"Deku-kun, Iida-kun, Y/N-kun..." You all heard Uraraka say as you all turned towards her and grew scared faces as she had a scary face and dark aura around her while she grinned. "Let's do our best at the sports festival." She grinned madly.

"U-Uraraka, your face...! It's...!" Midoriya couldn't describe it as Mina popped up behind you and laid her chin on your shoulder.

"What's the matter? You don't look carefree at all, even though that's what your name means." She said while turning to you and smiling brightly.

"PM—" Mineta was cut off when Tsu reached her tongue around her neck and smacked his cheek.

Suddenly, Uraraka stood strong and raised her fist in the air as she yelled even louder and more aggressively.

"Everyone, I'm gonna do my best!" She yelled.

"Yeah!" You all yelled as she suddenly turned towards Tokoyami and his group.

"I'm gonna do my best!" She yelled as they raised their fist with her slightly scared and awkward.

"Y-Yeah..." They replied to her.

"What's wrong? Your personality is all over the place." Kirishima asked lightly.

As lunch came around, you were walking with Midoriya, Iida and Uraraka down the main hallway when Midoriya brought up an interesting question.

"Uraraka." Midoriya called her.

"Yes?" She asked.

"Why did you decide to come to U.A. and become a pro hero?" He asked.

"Huh? Um...because...for money?" She said while rubbing her neck.

"For money?! You want to become a pro hero for money?" Midoriya asked in shock.

"To boil it down simply, yes..." She said before waving her hand at you three embarrassingly. "Sorry it's such an unwholesome reason. You three have such admirable motivations, it's embarrassing..." She said while putting her hands to her cheeks and looming away.

"Why? How is having a goal to support your own livelihood not admirable?" Iida asked as he waved his arms like a robot.

"Right. But it's unexpected." Midoriya said.

"My family owns a construction company but we haven't gotten any work at all, so we're flat broke. This isn't really to tell people, though..." She said with her eyes closed.

"Construction?" Iida said as he and Midoriya put their hands on their chins in wonder.

"It's her quirk." You said, getting their attention. "If she gets hired, costs will go down, and she can use her quirk to lift any object without needing heavy equipment." You said as she suddenly jumped and pointed to you.

"Right? That's what I told dad when I was little." She said. "But..." She trailed off in a sad tone before gripping the hem of her skirt. "I'll definitely become a hero and make money and let my parents take it easy." She said with a determined look.

Suddenly, Iida broke out into a round of applause while hollering out loud.

"Bravo! Uraraka, Bravo! Bravo!" He yelled as she happily smiled again.

Suddenly, you heard loud laughing as you saw All Might suddenly burst out of a door, scaring you to pale white.

"Young Midoriya is here!" He yelled while pointing right at him as Midoriya and Iida stared at him while Uraraka was shaking you to keep your from passing you.

"All Might? What's the matter?" Midoriya asked.

"Lunch!" He said as he pulled out a tiny box of lunch wrapped in a carry cloth. "Wanna eat together?" He asked with his hands next to each other holding the box as Uraraka spazzed out.

"He's like a maiden!" She shook where she stood as you were breathing heavily and trying to calm down.

"How about it?" All Might asked and Midoriya looked at Iida who only nodded.

"I'd love to." Midoriya said as he joined him and the three of you left to the dining hall.

As you were waiting in line, Uraraka brought up the subject of All Might and Midoriya.

"I wonder what he wanted with Deku-kun." She said.

"I heard that when All Might was attacked by the villains during the USJ incident, he rushed out alone to help. Perhaps it's about that." He suggested as Uraraka and you agreed.

"Ohh, yeah!" She said while patting her fist on her other palm.

"Remember what Asui said on the bus?" Iida asked as they both remembered but you were confused.

"What'd she say?" You asked.

"She said that Midoriya's quirk was like All Might's. The boundless power they both have are similar, too, so maybe All Might has taken a liking to him. He's amazing." Iida said as you noticed Todoroki in front of you three and he was staring at Iida.

"Was he listening?" You thought while looking at him.

"Y/N L/N! Come out here!" You heard someone yell as the dining hall went silent.

You sighed as you walked out of line and everyone stared at you as you came face to face with Ryu.

"So you found out I was here, Ryu?" You asked as he chuckled.

"I heard a few kids talking about you. So it seems you've made quite the reputation for yourself here, haven't you?" He asked as you glared at him.

"What about it?" You asked as he raised his hand towards you and clenched his fist.

"Just know that once I defeat you in this festival, I am going to claim my rightful spot as the number one hero. No one is going to stop, especially you!" He said as smirked.

"Is that a bet?" You asked as you clenched your fist as well.

"Y/N-kun, what's going on?" Iida asked as you kept your sights on Ryu.

"Ryu Shoizaki, heir to rule his father's hero organization. He's basically the prince of his father's organization, and is my rival from before I moved here." You said as everyone stared in shock.

Suddenly, the of you dashed towards each other and clashed knees together as sparks of energy surged around you and the dining hall shook a bit as you both grinned.

"What's this? Are you getting weaker? Maybe I've just closed the gap between us and I'm about to surpass you." He said as you chuckled.

"If you're still racing to be stronger, then I'm gonna do what it takes to be even stronger than before." You said as he glared at you before turning around and walking away.

Just before he left, he stopped and turned around slightly to look at you.

"Have you shown them yet? Your transformation?" He asked.

"I have, they've seen it." You said as you used your quirk to transform again and your eyes and hair changed color and your energy surged around you.

"Hmph, just so you all know, Y/N isn't the only one who's able to transform." Ryu said as you glared at him.

"Transform?" Momo asked from where she was sat.

"Allow me to demonstrate, Y/N is a low class warrior, I on the other hand..." He trailed off.

You watched him as he turned towards you and got into a sturdy position before clenching his fist tightly and gritting his teeth you felt his energy begin to rise. Everyone gasped when they saw electricity surging around him and his muscles were bulging as he began to grunt and pant while his power shook the hall.

"Wh-What's going on?!" A student yelled as all of them held onto their food for life.

"Y/N-kun!" Uraraka yelled as she fell on her butt and got dizzy.

"No way...Ribbit..." Tsu trailed off as she held onto your jacket as she stared at Ryu in shock.

Ryu's hair was beginning to flash blonde as his eyes were turning from dark to teel back and forth. His veins were popping out as a golden aura surrounded his body as his eyes widened and he threw down his fist.

"AHHHHHH!!!!!" He yelled as he transformed and the ground underneath him cracked and a bright light surrounded him.

Once the light died down and everyone uncovered their eyes, they were surprised when they saw he was also transformed like you.

"Th-...They're the same..." Iida said in shock.

"Same transformation perhaps, but by no means in stature. Mark my words Y/N, we will settle this once and for all, and I will show everyone that I am superior." He said before walking off and returning to normal, as you returned to your friends in line and returned to normal also.

"What was that about...?" Uraraka asked.

"You see, me and him, we're alike in many places, our parents consist of someone with a strength enhancement quirk, and another with an energy quirk. He grew up like a prince, and he's too proud to admit things that he doesn't like. He's a good guy, trust me, but he's been jealous and angry at me since I got my quirk before him. He's also the one who helped me name my special moves." You said as watched him walk away. "You haven't changed, not one bit...and I'm happy about that.." You said as you remembered a childhood with him and smiled before continuing with your friends to get food.
