CHAPTER-TEN

REBIRTH

Our greatest concern will be the military. Individually the enemy forces are no match. However, they are many, and we will have to be very wise. They will attack us from every side and because we are flesh and blood, many of us will fall and die in battle. Now, my love, you should eat and later you and yours will meet those you selected. They seek your favor, my husband."

Reuben said, "We should meditate and seek God's guidance." They bowed their head in silent prayer, and a few moments later he said, "So be it." He looked down at his food and saw that it was very appetizing to him.

After they had finished eating, the three plus Iphigenia chatted and became familiar. Iphigenia said, "It is time we go to our new home. There the family will make you better. Is it agreed?"

They answered with one voice, "Lead the way."

The group gathered at Gate Twelve where a deacon greeted them. He said, "It is my honor to meet you, my children." Pulling the Three aside he said, I warn you that your minds and bodies have changed. As you leave the protection of The Twelve you will experience great changes to your mind. At first, it might be overwhelming to you. After an hour or so, you will begin to adjust and by morning, you will feel better. If you become nauseated, take these pills. They will speed your recovery. I am the lead deacon and you will see me in the morning as we plan our revolution. Good evening my friends."

Iphigenia led them to a large house just a block from the temple on the compound; the sickness had yet to consume the three. "This is our pod," she said. "Seven pods make a pericarp, each stem and every stalk has seven stems. Passageways connect the seven pods to each other, allowing easy access to the extended family of the pericarp. This allows the pericarp to become a living vessel that it may produce better fruit. The stalks provide passage that many may have access to the stems. Symbolically, the twelve stalks connect to the temple as the source of nutrients for the life of the followers."

Reuben began to ask something when suddenly his head felt like bursting. His mind began to race and he felt he could do anything, achieve everything and conquer the world. He bent over and started to heave his lunch. Greta turned and asked, "What is the matter, my husband?"

Iphigenia answered her, "He is beginning to experience what is like to be filled with the Almighty's power, not even Levi has received such power. You and Alicia will be next, but the effects will not be so overwhelming for you, as you already are very powerful. Still, your power will increase many fold. Now, you can understand why he is sick. Overtime, not only will our minds change, but so will your bodies." Iphigenia wrapped her arms around her husband and said, "Take your pills; it will slow your thoughts. I will wean you off gradually so the effect of receiving your gift will not be so overwhelming. Then the regeneration will start." She handed him three tiny pills to take.

"These little pills are going to help me?" He asked, sarcastically.

"Yes, my love. They are very powerful. You may need more, for no one has ever received such power, so quickly."

Greta said, "My powers haven't returned."

"They will gradually, my wife. The Lord is integrating your ability to read thought with those of a great warrior. It will be the same for you Alicia, my love. When the process is completed, every cell of our bodies will be transformed."

Alicia asked, "How is it you know so much for such a young woman? You don't appear to be over sixteen years of age."

"Don't be deceived by my body. I am as old as the foundation of the dirt you walk on. Even Mary, the mother of Jesus was a young woman of fourteen, and didn't the Lord trust her enough to raise His Son. I have been preparing for this day for over three years, when Levi came to me in a dream. Ever since that day, the elders have been preparing me to be the fourth person to complete the transformation. As you know, Levi and Venus have escape their prison. Tonight, we will commune with them in our pod. They will explain our role for the End of Days."
