CHAPTER THREE

AMBUSH

At a time before the foundation of the Earth, it was determined that people would lie in wait to capture the Lord's servants. The messengers of the Lord will not resist, but they will glorify the Lord forever.

The Secretary of Homeland Security, William Alderman, was called to the Oval office to brief the new President. "Secretary Alderman, how do you hope to render Levi helpless, so that we might capture him and keep him in custody?" Asked President Smithson.

"I have had the very best minds working on this problem, and this is our plan, sir. If we are able to find him, or trap him and his family in one room, I believe we can hold him indefinitely. The way I plan on doing this is to negate his powers with polarized light. After seeing the glow emanating from Dianne Menisci's body at an ultraviolet wavelength, I realized that his power to harm us comes from his ability to control wavelengths of energy, and by so doing, destroy the cellular structure of the body, like how the sun ages you."

"How is that possibly for Levi to do?"

"It is not possible, sir. Not without a devise."

"Levi had no such device with him when he was with the President."

"Correct, what he did is not humanly possible, but that does not forbid us from coming up with a weapon, which might neutralize his powers. If we can polarize the light in the room, where we lure him, then it might  neutralize all ultraviolet radiation in the room."

"What if his powers are far beyond what we have witnessed, so far?"

"Then Mr. President, we are screwed. If I'm correct, then we will have him and his family under control, but I am betting he is an alien, and he is a mortal."

"This plan is so full of holes, if the plan were a sieve and you were panning for gold, a nugget the size of my fist would slip through it. How are you going to transport them, from the area that you trapped them to a lock of facility, and then how would you ever hope to keep him there, for this man digs up dead people without disturbing the soil, animates their bodies, and then puts them back in their grave without disturbing the soil. He is able to travel to Jupiter, in an instant, and is able to walk past our security, without us knowing. Tell me again how you hope to secure him, Secretary Alderman."

"Well sir, I hadn't finished, we will transport him in a container with polarized light. It is like wearing polarized sunglasses, sir. It is known that if you adjust light waves to a certain frequency the whole universe vanishes. To that end I plan on placing super magnets around the room, the container and the cell, and hope the polarized light will block his powers. From my point of view this is our only hope of ever stopping him."

"Alright, Secretary Alderman, you have my permission to proceed. What are the logistics for this capture?"

"Director Morgan had a gut feeling that Assistant Detective Greta Bastion was related to Ansell Bastion, the elder man at the Best Western. He then decided to assign her the job of researching the family history of Ansell Bastion. Assistant Chief Detective Bastion discovered that she is a cousin of Laida, Levi's current wife. We have her in training now to learn how to communicate with the Pleiadian realm. The plan is to have her meditate and ask them to come to her so she can meet them and learn more about the message sent on the morning of April 12th. We hope they will come to see her at her apartment, and by then we will have installed electromagnets in the walls that we can turn on remotely and capture them."

"This plan is worrisome to me, Alderman. Just because Greta was unaware of Laida, it does not mean Laida and Levi are unaware of Assistant Chief Detective Greta. A being of such demonstrated power could be aware of every thought of every person on earth. Does Greta know the risks involved?"

"Yes, she is aware of what could happen and is willing to sacrifice her life for her country, if necessary."

"Can we trust her? After all, this will consist of telepathy, and we have no control of her thoughts. In fact, we may be creating another powerful Bastion."

"Director Morgan believes we can trust her, from her outstanding service of the last fifteen years."

"If she pulls this off, she will receive the Medal of Valor from me, personally. How soon can we have this in place?"

"By this evening, sir, everything should be in place and we should be ready."

"Make it so, Secretary Alderman. I would like to have him in custody before I address the nation this evening."

"Yes, sir, right away."

Levi, my Lord, they are plotting against us."

"Yes, I am aware."

"They will fail to capture us, my Lord, for nothing can stop you."

"True, they could never hold us against our will, but it may serve us to allow the capture."

"Why, my Lord?"

"It would be advantageous for us is that we have a world platform to spread my Voice, and it would be nice to meet your cousin Greta face-to-face and convert her."

"What of our daughter? I would hate to expose her to our travails."

"I will suspend time for her onboard the ship. There, my servants will keep her safe, and she will never know of this."

"You are so wise, my Lord."

Assistant Detective Greta grimaced at the thought of lying to her cousin the first time she met her. How could she deceive such powerful beings? What if they converted me, and I became a traitor to the country? Director Morgan walked up to her and said, "We have lots of work to do in a very short time. Greta, are you a religious person?"

"I go to church now and then, and I pray to God when I need to, sir, if that's what you mean?"

"I suggest you start praying right now, because this is one hell of a shaky plan. If it works, you will get that promotion you are looking for."

"Sir, I haven't applied for a promotion. How were you aware I wanted one?"

"It is easy, Assistant Chief Bastion; you have been in the same position for five years and stuck at the same GS-12 pay grade. Everyone in your position is looking for a way to move up at your age and tenure. I get hundreds of requests annually, and I believe you are no exception."
