PRESS CONFERENCE

Doctor Burton replied, "I see."

"Back to the conversation. What thoughts were transferred to you?"

"Well, not much, really. Venus told me she was glad to find a cousin and that she had lost her sister a few years ago. She told me that she lost her father when she was about nineteen. That's about it."

"I don't think you quite understand what I am saying, Greta. I want to know their exact thoughts. I believe I will have to hypnotize you and find out that way."

Greta thought to herself. I am going to protect my thoughts while I am under. Guarding my thoughts while I am awake is hard enough. She will know everything about Levi when she is through. Maybe I can resist her attempt to put me under.

"The doctor said, "Greta, I want you to imagine you are in a building. In front of you is a stairwell leading up to a closed door. You are curious about the door. You feel you must open that door to see what is behind it. It is the most important thing to you. Do you see the door, Greta?"

"Yes, I do."

"What does it look like to you?"

"It is a big walnut door. Old fashion with a keyhole under the knob."

"Do you see light coming from the keyhole?"

"Yes."

"I want you to focus on that light. Now, I want you to go up the stairs to the door. Are you there?"

"Yes."

"Grab the knob and open the door. When it is open, I want you to tell me what you see."

"I see my living room."

"Is anybody there?"

"No."

I want you to sit down where you were when you saw Levi and Venus. Are you there?"

"Yes."

Now I want you to send your invitation to Levi. You will not remember any of this when I wake you up."

At that point in Greta's hypnosis, Levi appeared to her. She warned him that it was a trap. She was hypnotized.

He says, "I know. What the doctor is hearing you say has nothing to do with what you observed yesterday. I have control of her brain, and she is only hearing you tell her mundane greetings and salutations. I need you to be careful. The president does not trust you, and they will try to entrap you. Your mission for them must not be jeopardized. I do not want you to be afraid. I am going to place my hand inside your head and change your mind's chemistry. This change will help you to be more alert and able to control your newfound abilities. There are many whose minds are powerful. Now, you will be able to defend yourself from mental attacks."

"Why are they so untrusting of me?" Levi.

"You are blood kin to Venus, a very powerful being. They believe that your genetics may cause you to favor us. However, they must not conclude that about you. When you awake, you will be able to read the mind of the doctor with crystal clarity."

"Why won't you be able to protect me as you are now?"

"I am mortal in this shell and am not all-powerful. That is for the time I ascend to my true self, and then I will perceive all the thoughts of all people, even those of the adversary. I do not know the future. The Voice from the Prime Mover is what was heard, and it told me that your task is very important. There are others whose lives I must preserve and who are essential to the coming judgment. You are not one of them, but for the near future, you must preserve."

"I know this talk. I am expendable to you, and my mission is very important. Blah, blah, blah. On my job, it's that way every day. My life is on the line every day for this country, and if I die, they will give me great honors, but the country goes on while I am laid to rest. I do not understand why you killed Dianne Menisci or harmed the president. How can the Lord injure somebody if he is pure love?"

"Greta, death is neither evil nor bad. It is a necessity for true life. The Adonai is not a respecter of persons. He does not like one over the other; all die and are reborn. I will die, and this body will turn to dust. I had better plans for Dianne's soul. She is one I must protect to the very end, and when I am dead, Adonai will protect her with surety. You will die, and at that time your spirit will be finished with the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. You will dwell with Stanislaus for all time as you merge with the collective energy that is all things. As for your President Hammett, it was necessary to remove him from office because he would not have stirred the flames to bring about the uprising you will lead. Dr. Burton is finished, and now you must awaken."

Assistant Chief Detective Greta awoke, stretched her arm, and said to Dr. Burton, "I needed that doctor, thanks. Did that help you?"

"Yes, you were a great help, Greta. You may leave now. Thank you."
