DEBRIEFING

Secretary of State McDowell said, "That's not like Levi; he is usually very gentle and polite to everyone he meets. I am very surprised."

Hammett said, "Claire, I am not sure that is Levi; I am not sure they are even human. It might explain why we have not been in contact with our guides. Levi and Venus have been on the ship, and he tells me he controls it. And from what I have witnessed, I am sure he is telling the truth. I recorded everything, but I doubt it will help us, because as I heard him speak his lips didn't move. I believe he is from another dimension and is here to overthrow this world. It would explain his book and his knowledge of dreams."

William Alderman said, "I would like to see the recording, sir."

"Yes, by all means, we will all listen to it."

Pushing on the intercom button, he asked Sue to bring in the recording from interview room-two."

The President received the recording from Sue and closed the door. As he played the tape, everyone listened intently. As they listened to the first of the conversation they realized Hammett had handled the interview with skill, but they also realized how cleverly Levi and Venus played off each other. The last words they heard from the two was when Venus interrupted the President and said, "You have no idea just how connected we are," and then they heard Hammett plead for their citizenship and cooperation and next nothing but the sound of many babbling brooks. Each member of the group wore a face of astonishment and asked him to play it again.

Jim said, "Holy crap! What in hell was that?"

"I do not know. I did not hear it when I was in the room."

"What do you remember?" said Jim.

"He said to me that it was with great authority, that he was on the ship to brief the crew. He also, said it was under his control and no attack would happen until I was out of office. I do remember some type of riddle. He told me the ship was not alien and not of the earth and if we could read, we could figure it out, and I remember he told me a parable. It went like this – don't be like the fisherman who after finding a valuable pearl put it in his pocket and went home, only to discover he had a hole in his pocket, and the pearl was missing; he added, if the man were wise he would put on good clothes, and then find the pearl of great value."

"What else can you remember?"

"He threatened us by saying we would be unable to contain him or his family, that they could walk among us and we would not recognize them and we should tell the people to prepare themselves, for he would be coming soon."

The head of the FBI asked, "Sir, I would like to have that video so my experts can go over it and see if they can detect anything."

"Certainly, take it! I don't want to hear it again, unless you can make some sense of it. So, what are your impressions of this situation? Who do you believe we are dealing with, and what do we tell the public?"

Secretary of State McDowell responded, "We have all the birth records of the Jackson's and I do not believe they are alien or inter-dimensional beings, they must be something beyond human, maybe they are some type of leap in human evolution. We could move the military up to level four, and tell our friends and enemies why. We don't want a new war to erupt, which will stretch us thin."

Presidential Advisor Wright said, "We need a World Defense Team for such a problem like this. Let's secretly call a meeting with all the great powers of the world, so we can have a solid Earth defensive response."

McDowell responded, "Why don't we remove the threat, blow it up; this thing that is orbiting around Jupiter. Levi did say to you, before everything got weird, that it would be several years before we are in any trouble from it."

"Levi warned me about trying to blow it up. He said that it would fail and we should save our money to feed the poor."

Jim said, "We are getting ahead of ourselves. We don't even know if this thing is a ship or is just a piece of rock. Levi could have rigged the chair, before you came in, to somehow give you a petit mal seizure, and then he left the room."

"I wondered if it was a trick, Jim. But how did they get out of the White House undetected, and how do you explain my hair? Something extraordinary happened in that room and my job is to protect the citizens of the United States of America!"

"You do look older with that white hair, sir. I believe you are aging in front of our eyes. I recommend that you see the doctor and get a thorough check up. Allow us to continue this conversation with the Security Council and get back with you later."

The President looked into the mirror and saw a man older than before, and not only was his hair white his face was showing age. He decided to take the suggestion of his advisor and see his doctor.

"I agree. I will see you at 7:00 pm. This meeting is adjourned."

The doctor stood in his office waiting for the President to arrive, but they would not tell him the President's problem, and they just simply said that he would see him when he arrived. He hoped the problem was not serious, but when Secret Service agent secreted him in to see the doctor, he was not prepared for what he saw. He grabbed the sink counter to steady himself, as they brought Jovian Hammett into his office.

"Mr. President, what has happened to you?"

"Doctor, I was hoping you could tell me."

"Yes, sir, I will run some tests, I would like to put you in the hospital immediately."

"No, I do not have the time. I need to get back to the White House by seven pm for a meeting."

"Mr. President, if we don't figure out what is going on with you, you might be dead by seven pm!"

"Okay, Doctor, you have my attention. What should I do?"
