Chapter 2: First day of school- AH! COLLEGE!!!!

As expected, I hate this school.

Why? First, some girls who are way more indecent than me judged my appearance and openly pointed out how my sweater is ugly. Second, some boys with raging hormones had the audacity to corner me and openly flirt with me.

I'm just glad that Travis was there.

He told the girls that they were uglier than my shirt and he pushed away all the guys, making sure to threaten them.

I sighed, "Can I go back to being home-schooled again?"

"C'mon, sis. It's been a year since you woke up and you haven't had any social experience with another human being other than me ever since." Travis replied.

"Is the principal's office near yet?" I asked with yet another sigh.

"Yeah." He replied.

He took a right and I followed right behind him.

The hall we entered had doors that led to, according to the labels on it, the computer and speech laboratory, a comfort room, the library, and the teachers' office.

But, at the end of the hall, all terror and nightmares came from, the principal's office.

Even if you were fifteen meters away from it, you'll still get the scary ambiance that it is giving off.

Yeah, it was that scary.

I visibly gulped, "Are you sure that's the principal's office or Count Dracula's room of torture?"

"Mm. As much as the second option sounds better, it's sadly the principal's office." He replied, walking towards the door.

"Are you crazy?!" I hissed, pointing at him.

"Hey. What did I say earlier about mentioning that word?" He scolded.

I rolled my eyes and cautiously took a step forward.

Okay. You can do this, Dayana. One foot after the other.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of walking, I was at arm's reach from the door.

Just one more step-

If my clumsy self didn't make an appearance here, I'd question my identity.

You must be smart enough to know just by that sentence that I tripped.

"Oh hell no." I hear Travis mutter before I come in contact with the wooden door, opening it.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is my life.

"Ow." I whined when I came in contact with the floor next.

Hey floor. How've you been? No, I didn't miss you given we were together twice this morning.

I quickly stood up, clearing my throat and looked at the principal.

I was shocked to see one of the prettiest girls ever.

"Oh my, are you alright, child?" She asked, quickly standing up and going over to me to check if I'm fine.

"I-I'm okay... Uh, I'm used to coming in contact with the floor anyways." I replied.

I mentally slapped myself.

Idiot.

"Really?" She asked with an amused but at the same time worried expression.

"Yeah. Just a while ago I tripped so this is the second time." I replied with a laugh.

I hear Travis's facepalm as the woman pursed her lips.

"But are you okay?" She asked me.

"Yup." I replied, popping the p.

Please don't tell me this is the principal. She looks so young.

"Uh... Mrs. Greene, can we please see the schedule for my sister's classes?" Travis butt in.

Gosh dang, did he say 'Mrs.' Greene?

Does that mean she's married? She looks like she's 24 or something.

"Oh, yes of course." She replied and went over to her desk.

"How old is the principal?" I whispered to Travis.

"32." He replied, "Why?"

I shook my head.

Okay... can I just-

Thirty-two?! She looks so young! Like college young.

What is life.

"Aha! Here it is." Mrs. Greene exclaimed and sat down on her chair.

I went over to her desk and took my schedule resting on top of her desk.

"I hope you enjoy studying here." Mrs. Greene said with a small smile as I scanned the paper, "You'll meet lots of kids your age here."

"Mhm." I hummed in response, "I'll get going now, Mrs. Greene."

"Okay dear. Take care!" She said as we left the room.

"You sure that was the principal?" I asked Travis immediately when we were outside the office.

"Yup."

"I expected something... scarier."

"Yup."

I nodded slowly and started to walk, Travis following in pursuit. I looked at my class schedule and room.

"Where's building A?" I asked.

"Well, we're at the main building right now. The main building is between building A to D." He replied.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "How did you know I wanted to study nursing...?"

"I know everything about you." He teased me, pinching my cheeks.

I pouted, "What's your course?"

"Financial shit." He said, making a face.

I laughed, "Poor you."

"I know. Can I get a hug from my favorite sister to cheer me up?"

"I'm your only sister, Trav." I said with an eyeroll.

"I know. That's what makes you my favorite!" He said, extending his arms out for a hug.

Some kids took glances at us and started to whisper amongst each other as I hugged Travis for a quick bit.

"Oh my! Does my Travis have a girlfriend?"

"Ugh. What a slut, hitting on someone older."

"OMG! Is she a transfer student?"

Travis pulled out from the hug and glared at the girls, "Excuse me, nosy weirdos, but she is my sister and you couldn't even be half of what she is, sluts."

"You have a sister?" The first girl asked.

"Nah, I have a fridge." Travis replied sarcastically, "Of course I have a sister! What else would she be?"

"Okay, bro. Let's go since I still don't know where building A is." I said and pulled his sleeve.

He sighed and started to walk with me following in pursuit.

"Okay! This is building A!" He said, "Sophomores like you stay here. Though different courses stay on different areas in the building but the similar courses stay on the same areas like nursing, medical technology, all that stuff."

I clicked my tongue, "O-kay."

"So..."

I looked at the building then back at him, "What?"

"I'm gonna go-"

"Yeah, and please don't ever come back." I told him, giving him a cute little smile.

"Is this how my sister treats me after I feed her everyday?" Travis asks, looking up at the sky.

"Yes. Now shoo, peasant. Queen Dayana shall now learn stuff she doesn't need to know." I said, pushing him away.

And it sure is a hard job. I need an elephant to assist me in pushing Travis.

It's not that he's as buff as Superman, I'm just weaker than Robin's lego character.

"You do realize I'm not moving an inch, right?" He told me.

I sighed, "I figured as much."

He chuckled and ruffled my hair as I straightened my posture.

"Dude, it's hard to fix my hair." I complained as I fixed my blonde locks.

He laughed and started to walk away.

That brother...

I turned away and looked for room Nursing 2-A.

After a few minutes, I unknowingly ended up in front of room Law 2-B.

"Uhm... excuse me?" I asked a girl that passed by me.

"Hey! You new here?" She asked.

I nodded and giggled.

"I am too! Jeez, it sure was hard to find my class." She said and pointed at room Law 2-B.

I sighed, "I can't find room Photography 2-A"

"Oh! I passed by that a while ago!" She said, her bright green eyes shining.

"Really? Can you tell me where it is?" I asked, sighing in relief.

"You just go up two floors from here, pass Business rooms then go to the hallway on the left and viola! You're there." She said as she tucked her mahogany brown hair behind her ear.

"Thanks! I'm Dayana by the way. Though it is spelled literally as you pronounce it." I told her.

She laughed, "I'm Charlene."

"Well, Charles, I'll see you around!" I said, waving bye to her as I headed off.

Finally, I arrived at the Business rooms.

I started to walk, hearing some whispers as I walk.

"Woah, that a new transferee?"

"You think she's single?"

"Slut."

My eye twitched at that one but I ignored it.

I was about to do a mini victory dance when I saw the sign that said 'Nursing Sophomore's Room' sticked to the walls of one of the hallways but someone's voice stopped me.

"Dayana?"

O.o who was that?! Hehe, do you think I'm gonna tell you guys? Hm. How about this? The first to guess who it is correctly will get a shoutout in the next chapter! :D hehe.

Also, I've changed my signature to-

xoxo,
