Chapter 1: Stick your tongue out like a cat. I swear it won't hurt.
"Travis!" I yelled, falling on my bed accidentally.
The door brust open, "What? What happened?!"
"The alarm and my sheets are fighting me!" I said, trying to untangle my legs from my sheets.
"Oh. I set it at four since you're going to start school." He said.
"C-college?" I stuttered.
"Yep. But don't worry, you won't be staying in a dorm since our house-"
"Mansion." I coughed.
"-is just a walking distance away from here."
"What's the name of the school?" I asked, pursing my lips.
"Constellation University." He replied, "Best part is you don't have a uniform! And only elites go to the school!"
I frowned. Elites; rich kids A.K.A. spoiled, snobby, and stuck-up.
Don't get me wrong, I'm describing the majority of elites.
I, myself, am an elite since our family is filthy rich.
But Travis and I live away from our parents but they call Travis time to time except he wouldn't let me talk to them.
"What's wrong?" Travis asked, his eyes filled with worry.
"I don't wanna go to an elite school." I whined.
"But that's the same school I'm going to!" He argued back.
I pouted and stood up, forgetting my legs are still tangled in my sheets so I fell down, hitting my chin.
"Ow!" I exclaimed.
"Dayana! Why are you so clumsy!" He complained.
I pouted, "It's just me being me."
He rolled his eyes and helped me stood up, patting my head.
"Hey, shtap fatting my head." I said, growling a bit.
He raised his arms up in defense and told me to get ready while he prepares breakfast.
I took a thirty minutes bath and changed into a red sweater and white skirt.
It was innocent looking but at the same time also gave off a sexy vibe.
I think I'll be getting another one of those 'Travis's-lectures-about-Dayana's-sense-of-style.'
And, yes. That's a real thing.
"Dayana! The food is getting cold!" Travis yelled from downstairs.
"Coming!" I replied, scurrying out of my room to the stairs.
On the fifth step, I tripped.
Making me fall on my butt.
Making me fall down the stairs.
"Dayana?!" Travis came in frame and I can see his upside down figure getting closer to me.
"Am I dead?" I asked, rubbing my head.
"No!" He exclaimed, pulling me up.
"Good. 'Coz I still haven't finished my dream of finding a cure for cancer." I said.
To my surprise and utter confusion, I unconciously stuck my tongue out like a cat.
"What are you doing with your tongue?" Travis asked, tilting his head.
"I dunno. I've been doing that every once in a while ever since I woke up from my coma." I replied with a shrug.
"And I just noticed that now?" Travis asked in disbelief.
I shrugged, "I usually do it when I say something that sounds... crazy."
Funny, the word crazy left a sweet taste in my mouth.
He stiffened, "Cr-crazy, you say?"
"Yup!" I said cheerfully. "What's wrong, Trav? You seem... off."
"Uh... Can we not mention the word 'crazy' around here?" He asked, "I have bad memories with that word."
I pouted, "You're kidding, right? Crazy is everywhere! I mean, what is normal? All of us are crazy. Some of us just haven't realized it yet while some are trying to hide it."
"Dayana. Stop." Travis said and pat my head, "C'mon. The food is probably cold by now."
"What's for breakfast, Mister-I-tell-Dayana-to-stop-but-then-call-her-to-eat?" I beamed.
He looked at me weirdly before replying, "Bacon and egg."
At the sound of that, I rushed to the dining room and immediately took a seat on one of the eight seats in our long table.
On the table rested the best breakfast known to humanity; bacon and eggs.
My mouth immediately watered at the sight.
No, really, it did.
Travis grabbed a table napkin and handed it to me.
"Patay gutom." He told me, laughing.
"Ugh. I hate it when you use Tagalog words I don't know." I complained, wiping the side of my mouth.
"Patay means dead and gutom means hungry. I think you can figure out what that means." He told me, sending a boyish grin toward me.
I pouted and started to get myself some food.
"Uh-uh-uh!" Travis slapped my hand away just when I was about to gobble up my food.
"Ow." I whined, rubbing my hand. "What was that for, you fartcake?"
"Manners, young lady." He scolded me.
I sighed and picked up my fork and spoon, "I don't understand. I mean, I can always eat bacon with my hands like-"
"O-kay! Let's eat!" Travis said excitedly and started to eat his own food.
I licked my lips from hunger and started to gobble it up, too.
Finishing up, we head outside into his car and I repeated the question that almost every protagonist in a clichè book asks.
Why did I even mention that?
"When will I get my own car?" I asked, pouting slightly.
"When I'm a hundred percent sure you won't go directly to a hospital when you drive a car." He replied, getting in.
"Gee, what a gentleman. No opening the passenger door for me?!" I complained before getting in.
I shot a glare at Travis after putting on my seatbelt.
"What's with that look?" He asked and started the car.
"Nothing. Just thinking how many guys you'll beat up when you see them looking at me even if it's just a glance." I replied with a shrug.
He shrugged, "Probably lots. I mean, what is it with that revealing outfit, Dayana? Have you lost your mind? I'm hella glad you chose a sweater but that skirt is too revealing. How much skin do you even plan on showing to the fuc-"
"LA LA LA LA!" I hummed loudly while covering my ears.
Don't get me wrong, I'm used to him saying curse words but I'm getting tired of the 'this-is-how-Dayana-can-lose-her-V-card' lecture.
Help me.
When I looked back at him to see him scowling and not ranting, I reluctantly took my hands off my ears.
"Are we there yet?" I asked, clicking my tongue.
"We're close." He replied.
I started tapping my cheeks- a habit I've grown attached to.
After about thirteen seconds of cheek tapping, I repeated my question.
"Are we there yet?"
"Dayana."
"Yeah? That's my name."
"Do shut up."
"But I can't if my mouth and I don't want to."
"Then find a way to make it shut up."
"I don't know how to."
"Dayana!"
I just stuck my tongue out like a cat as a response.
Who would it hurt to stick your tongue out this way, right?
Right?
First chapter is HEREEEEEEE!!!!!!! I'm so excited for this book! I think I left you guys waiting for too long. I hope some of you stayed patient and loyal and waited for this. I wouldn't blame you guys if you abandoned me though, lol. I'mma talk about myself in third person.
Yelly just said she wasn't important. She is hurt. She doesn't wanna cry because she's too excited. Yelly is crazy. But not as crazy as Dayana. Please send the mental hospital nurse in room 104, A.K.A. Yelly's old room, to Yelly's house.
What is wrong with Yelly....😂😂😂
