Chapter 5
The next morning, you and Sam announced your engagement to the whole assortment of hunters and Men of Letters. You were met with excited applause as everyone had been waiting for this day for years.
After the announcement, Mary ran over to hug you both. "I'm so happy for you both!" She said. Looking over at you, she added, "You're good for each other."
"I'm glad I get to join your family, Mary. You've always been so kind to me." You told her, hugging her back.
Bobby walked up a moment later and pulled you in for a hug. "Does he make you happy?" He whispered.
"More than he'll ever know." You replied.
"Good. Your mom would be so proud of you, y'know?"
"Why? All I'm doing is getting married."
"It's so much more than that, darlin'." He said. "You've become an accomplished hunter and, on top of that, you found love. Those two things don't often go hand in hand."
"I miss her, daddy." You said. "I wish she was here with us."
"She'll always be here with us, just as we will always be there for each other. Now you quit your mopin' and let's plan us a wedding!"
You clapped your hands, rushing off with Mary to get things ready. Bobby gave Sam a stern look. "You better take care of my little girl." He warned in his overprotective fatherly way.
Sam smiled. "Don't worry, Bobby. I will."
Bobby nodded as he walked off.

Rowena excitedly clapped her hands together as she saw you. "Well, dear, you're practically glowing!" She said in her Scottish accent. "So when's the wedding?"
"Soon." You said, smile spreading over your face at the thought. "We want to do it in a few weeks if at all possible."
"You and Sam just can't wait to tie the knot, can you?" Rowena said, eyes sparkling. "I don't blame you. Love is a beautiful thing." She took your hand. "Now let's find you a dress that's just gonna blow him away!"
With that, she pulled you after her through various shops, making you laugh in excitement and happiness. After all, in a few short weeks, you were gonna be Mrs. (Y/n) Winchester!

Over the next couple of weeks, the place was busier than ever before as you all prepared for your wedding to Sam.
Luckily, Mary and Bobby had prepared somewhat so all you had to do was make sure everything was to your taste: dresses, the cake, flowers, etc.
One day, as you were trying on your dress to make sure it fit properly, Dean decided to come visit you. "Hey, little sister!" He teased. He'd been calling you that ever since you and Sam first started dating.
"Hey, pain in my ass." You retorted.
"Hey! I was trying to be nice!"
"When are you ever nice?" You teased.
"Fair point." He said, the both of you laughing. "So, anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I'm gonna be gone a couple days but I'll make it back in time for you and Sammy's wedding."
You raised an eyebrow. "Where are you going?" You asked.
He shrugged. "Just on a quick hunt. Something that sounds like demons. Should only take a couple days to fix."
"You're going alone?"
"Sometimes a guy just needs a break from all this mushy, lovey dovey--" You gave him your triple deluxe stare down. "Well...you know what I mean, sweetheart."
"Yea I do." You admitted. Moving closer to him, you gave him a hug. "Just promise you'll be careful."
He smiled. "Trust me, sweetheart. I'll be just fine. Take care of Sammy for me. And love the dress by the way. He's gonna love it."
With that, he turned and left. You had no idea at the time, but that would be the last you'd see of him for awhile, and, when you did, it'd be because of Lucifer.
