Shannon, Brian and Maxis had been welcome into the community by Evan and now they were leaving his house. Outside, they found Tyler and Kelly still standing by. That was because they wanted to show them around.

"See, that wasn't so bad." Kelly smiled, looking at the three.

"Kelly and Tyler, I assume you two can show our new members to their house and everything?" Evan asked, watching the other two nod, then he closed the door.

Tyler would start to lead the way, bringing the others with him as he lead them down the road and to the house that Shannon, Maxis and Brian would be living in. It only took a few minutes before they had gotten there to the house.

It was one of those double houses, which would end up being perfect as Maxis could take one half and the other two, the cousins, could take the other half.

"There it is, you guys." Tyler motioned towards the house.

Kelly nodded, "Get yourself situated in and relax up, since you guys are probably exhausted."

Soon after that, Kelly and Tyler left them to be alone and get settled in. Maxis would head inside the left side of the house, she immediately went up to the bedroom and set Kyle's revolver on the bedstand. While Shannon and Brian went into the other house and went to settle themselves in.

A few hours had passed and Tyler came to get the other three, since it was pretty close to dinner time. He knocked on the doors of the house. Brian and Maxis would open their doors and see Tyler standing there.

"It's almost time for dinner and we usually eat as a group here, so you're free to join us if you want." Tyler said.

Brian, Maxis and Shannon soon joined him and followed Tyler. They were lead to an area that had picnic tables. It was rather surprising for the three to see this.

"Take a seat anywhere." Tyler said, motioning to any of the tables.

The trio had followed Tyler to his table, seeing that he was there, along with Kelly and two others.

Kelly already started to introduce them to each other, "These two are Chrissy and Scotty." She smiled, formally introducing the two to the others.

Shannon nodded and sat down with the other two, from her group, "Shannon, and this is my cousin Brian, and our friend Maxis."

The other female, Chrissy, smiled, "Hopefully you guys are enjoying your stay so far."

Shannon nodded, speaking for the rest of her group, as they started to eat. They would talk for a while, getting acquainted with each other.

After dinner, Evan walked over to the table, smiling at the group.

"Everything alright over here?" He asked.

Kelly nodded and smiled, "Yes sir, it is."

Evan nodded in response, "Alllrriiigghttt then." He smiled, turning towards the three newcomers, "You can go around and chat with some of the others, if you want. I'm sure they'd want to meet you guys."

Shannon nodded and smiled, turning to her group who also nodded. Then, they'd watch as Evan left the table. This trio of people took Evan up on his advice, heading around and getting to know these people.

Having made conversation with everyone else, they found out that this group had other members named Brock, Anthony, David and Marcel. Of course, that also included Evan, Tyler, Chrissy, Kelly and Scotty. The community was large enough to accommodate even more, if they ever came across more.

Anyway, after getting to know the others, it was now time for them to get to work. Meanwhile, Shannon, Brian and Maxis had gone back to their houses for the night.

It was much later in the night, when Maxis was sitting on her couch and she heard a knock on her door. She got up and answered the door. Behind the door was Evan, smiling at her.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

Maxis nodded and stepped aside, letting the other into her house. She was a little confused as to what he was doing there.

"I bet you're wondering why I'm here?" Evan chuckled, "Don't worry, I'm not kicking you out or anything like that. I'm just here to give you your job, since I finally decided on what you and the others could do."

Maxis nodded once again, she motioned for him to continue as she listened.

Evan unfolded a piece of paper, "So, Maxis, you will be a scavenger. While Shannon will alternate between cook and being on watch. And Brian will take care of the armory." He spoke, then continued, "I placed you on scavenging duties, because I remembered how you were on a mission to find your brother. So, I figured you could also keep an eye out for him while you're out there."

Maxis smiled a bit and nodded again, "Thanks." She replied.

Evan nodded in response, "Of course." He said, "Any questions or anything?"

Maxis shook her head no and then Evan said goodbye, then he left her house. Once that was taken care of, Maxis decided to turn in for the night, as tomorrow was a new day and a new chance for her to find her brother, Kyle.
