(Y,N) was looking up at his partner waiting for him to explain his past.

Zarc: This takes place over 6,000 years ago, a time of prosperity before it turn into a absolute hell.

(Y,N): Ow and what happened?

Zarc: just listen.

Flashback 6000 years ago

In an ancient city that was the size of  most modern cities a silver haired man could be seen walking around.

He wore the standard clothing For males in Egypt.

The man continue to walk around until a terrifying roar with heard, the roar shook the entire city and when he and the rest of the people there turned around they were greeted about this side of a massive beast.

Red in color and with a massive serpent like body with massive dragon wings sprouting from it's back.

This beast was known as Uria one of the three sacred beasts also referred to as the beast of destruction during these ancient times.

The silver haired man like most others running away not wanting to be killed by this God. But before he to get away he hurt a yell a feminine yell for help.

Being a nice hearted individual he turned around and ran towards that cry for help. And when he got there  he saw a girl trapped behind a rubble with dark red hair. Light purple eyes and wearing a royal family dress.

Ignore zarc

The man was stunned by her beauty, she was by far the most beautiful woman he has ever seen in his life. But he quickly snapped out that and ran to the woman in need. He lifted the rebel off of her. The woman went to thank him but before she could he grabbed her by the hand and ran off.

They were lucky that they ran at that exact time has a huge chunk of debris came crashing down right next to them. The impact of his debris hitting the ground cause the two of them to be sent flying forward.

And hit the ground with tremendous Force, and were briefly stunned unable to move their bodies but when Uria roared again it caused both of their bodies to be filled with fear.

Fear was a good motivator in times like these, and when against a being like Uria who does nothing but cause destruction it was one of the body's natural responses.

But knowing that he couldn't be afraid the silver hair man cast away in his fear and picked up the girl. Unfortunately his leg was sprained and he couldn't run at full speed. Please try to run a great distance before they heard the sound of wing flapping behind them.

And when they turned around they came face to face with Uria the beast of searing flames.

The girl was absolutely terrified and quickly closed her eyes waiting for her end. The man on the other hand was different he didn't close his eyes nor did he turn away from the beast. No he stared down Uria face to face with this being who is said to be a god.

Uria seeing the man was not intimidated by his presence was enraged. Pulling his head back he charged up and ball of black and red fire and was ready to incinerate them.

And when Uria launch the beam of Hell's fire, the silver haired man looking at the incoming beam was scared out of his mind. He didn't want to die here after all he promised his family that he would become something more. something greater than the average man. He then felt something stirring deep within him like a raging storm of power waiting to be unleashed. So the man focused on this feeling and something happened which he surprised him greatly.

The silver hair man eyes started to glow gold and a energy barrier was formed around them. It was able to block uria's beam of Fire which shocked the beast. Unfortunately this didn't last too long as Uria just prepared another attack.

Though lucky for these two the attack never went through because of a certain individual walking up from behind them with an entire army backing him up.

Clouded in Black medieval armor with gold running along the edges of each metal plate that formed his armor. With amethyst jewels embedded into the armor. Six black tendril spikes that stuck out of the armor with a blood red cape flowing down to the ground. And with golden eyes that screamed power.

This was there King the Supreme King the ruler of Darkness.

Supreme King: you there get out of here this is not going to be a pleasant fight for anyone who's caught in the crossfire.

The silvered haired man: understood your majesty!

With what little strength he had left he picked up the girl and they took off running past the king and his army getting to a safe distance.

Once they we're far enough away they turned around to see the Supreme King absolutely destroying Uria.

And once the fight ended the beast laid on the ground presumably dead, as its body just burst into flames and flew off into the distance waiting to reform itself.

The Supreme King gave a heavy sigh before walking back with his army not trailing to far behind him.

But soon the king came to a stop and he looked at the silver haired man and noticed his golden eyes. They were much like his with great power hitting behind them. But unlike him and the King. The King actually knew how to use his power well this man didn't.

Supreme King: you there tell me your name.

Zarc: your majesty my name is zarc.

Supreme King: a very good name for a strong warrior, tell me zarc would you like to join my army? You hold great power and you've showing that you put the well-being of others before your own.

Zarc what's flabbergasted never before in his life would he ever think he be able to join the Supreme Kings army! Let alone have the Supreme King himself be the one to personally invite him into it!!

Zarc: y-yes your majesty.

Supreme King: very well then, *looks at one of his soldiers* you there get this man to the barracks right away and return this Noble woman to her household right away!

Soldier: yes your majesty!

And soon Zarc and the woman separated and when to different locations that would shape their futures. One to become a great warrior and protect the people. And the other to become a great nobleman and Carrie her house and her entire family's burden on her shoulders.

Fast forward 2 years

Two years later and lots of things have happen.

Zarc became the second most powerful man in the entire country only being beaten by the Supreme King himself. And was promoted to the king's right hand and was given a Noble title.

He even got engaged to Ray the girl he saved 2 years ago after learning that the girl had a crush on him ever since he saved her.

And for those past 2 years the two of them had grown closer together and had a strong relationship.

But as the old saying goes there can never be good without the bad and oh was the bad ever truly terrible.

Zarc was coming home from one of his missions, when he spotted that part of the city was on fire.

He quickly rushed towards a burning part of the city only to see his childhood home being set ablaze. Worst part was his parents were home.

Surrounding himself in darkness he crashed through the wall ignoring the smoke and fire all around him as he went searching for his parents.

And when he made it up to their room he stopped and took in the horrible sight that was in front of him. Their charred mangled bodies were they're lying on there bed. With stab marks running all along their body. And there was a note that was on the wall not being affected by the fire. He then read this mysterious note to see who the hell cause this and why was it by his parents dead corpse!?

Peasant zarc

You know some people in this world call you a hero but all I see is a weak commoner who was given a power that he should have had. You were given everything that you wanted and always just kept receiving more and more praise. Do you think you're above everyone because you have a noble title now. Or that your fiance is Ray who is the daughter of one of the greatest noble families?! You were nothing more than a commoner so I had to turn it down a little bit. It always sickened and disgusted me when I was hear talking on the streets of how much of a great person you are the peasants of this Kingdom call you. "The great hero of the commoners" or "the king's wrath". So I had to show them the truth that you're nothing more than a peasant and I also hope you like my gift to you.

Zarc after reading the note felt his anger grow more and more he started to squeeze the and crumple the note into a tiny ball before giving one final squeeze completely turning it into dust.

With I roar of anger that could be a heard from the palace as well as a massive vortex of Darkness was created that completely destroyed the house but still preserved his parents bodies.

After about 8 minutes Zarc could hear footsteps behind him he turned around and came face to face with the Supreme King and his fiance Ray.

The King was about to ask what happened when he saw the bodies and stopped right where he stand.

He knows zarc's parents after all they're like the parents he never had when he grew up as a child. He got along well with them and looked up to them as his second parents. Seeing Them dead would be one thing but seeing them like this drove the king into a rage A rage which is subject's new all too well.

Supreme King: what the f*** happened here!?

Zarc then explained everything he read from the note and to say that the king was pissed off was a massive understatement. Him and zarc we're ready to explode a fiery rage that would engulf the entire city and reduce it to dust. They're Aura that they were releasing could be felt from the other side of the city and was suffocating everyone.

Seeing them about to explode ray quickly intervened to try and calm the two.

Ray: your majesty, Zarc we have to calm down getting angry right now wouldn't solve anything I know it hurts after all I knew these two as well... But if you two get to angry you will destroy the entire country!

Zarc and the Supreme King started to quell their rage to an extent. Both of their eyes were blazing gold and they were extremely pissed off.

Supreme King: you're right Zarc I want you to gather a squad take as many troops as you want find the son of a b**** who did this and execute him.

Zarc: it shall be done your majesty.

Zarc and the king then headed back to the castle to get their mission underway. Leaving ray all alone and with a sad look on her face.

Ray: how could you have done this brother.

Fast forward 2 years

Two years has gone by and zarc and ray have finally gotten married. It was a happy time for the two of them.

But the most surprising thing was during their wedding the king arrived as well. He wished these two a long happy lives. After all how could he not when he considers Zarc his best friend if not brother.

Unfortunately for the king he was not able to find this mysterious X who murdered his and zarc's parents 2 years ago but he did have a search party still looking for him.

But there's another problem that was arising one that could proved to be a problem the wicked gods and the sacred beast we're coming towards the city. The king knew that these two groups of beings were attracted to strong sources of Darkness. And him being the literal king of Darkness would already be enough for them to come towards the city but with Zarc and his power it only prompted the beast to come towards the city had a faster rate. But the largest problem was that the city was cloaked from the outside world preventing anything from sensing their presences so how did the beast know exactly where to go?

The king still in his throne room clutch his fist in anger first he couldn't find this X person and now this.

???: You now brother you shouldn't get too angry you're going to age faster if you do.

The king look up to see Zarc walking towards him, the king couldn't help but chuckle a little at his comment.

Supreme King: and you shouldn't be so battle hungry in the long run it could cost you.

Zarc: oh what's the problem with wanting a good fight?

Supreme King: absolutely nothing at all brother.

The two of them then shared a couple of laughs before they got down the business.

Zarc: how's the status with the the wicked beast and the sacred beast?

Supreme King: *sighs angrily* I still have no idea how they could have found the city so quickly.

Zarc: I don't know either but do you think it could be an inside job?

Supreme King: this could very well be, it might be one of the nobles or it might be-

Zarc: X

Supreme King: it could very well be X. That man has some guts I'll give him that. But doesn't he know that if he does this it will lead to the destruction of everything including himself?!

Zarc: I don't know that man is a complete psychopath.

Supreme King: I would have to agree with you on that brother.

Unknown to the two not far away from their conversation was Ray listening in on them. Her heart was heavy with regrets as she heard their conversation.

Ray: why now?

3 months later

After 3 months this city was going through an absolute hell the sacred beast and the wicked gods attacked this City at full force. And with Six gods attacking the city all at once we're destroying it pretty fast.

The supreme King and zarc we're currently on the front lines fighting against the beast though it was a losing battle.

The Supreme King and zarc we're getting thrashed around the battlefield 3 gods they could handle but six was a different challenge altogether.

As they were fighting the supreme King was gravely injured and was bleeding profusely. Zarc was no different one of his arms were broken same with his legs. Him and his brother weren't looking too well so they had to retreat back to the Palace.

When they arrived there they could hear talking no more like shouting.

???: I don't understand why are you so angry at me I'm doing this for our family!!

???: OUR FAMILY!! You killed innocent civilians! Not to mention those were the parents of my husband!! And you think you can justify these acts BY SIMPLY SAYING IT'S FOR OUR FAMILY!!

the king and zarc eyes completely widen in shock they could hear Ray's voice arguing with another person. But it wasn't the voice that caught them off guard or surprise them it was that the fact that she knew this person.

???: You seem surprised? After all you knew of all of my dealings for the past 4 years all this is no exception.

Ray: then why are you doing this? are you trying to become the heir to our family?? Are you trying to seek power I loved you brother I tried to help you but doing this won't do anything it would just simply cause nothing but destruction!!

???: Tell that to them.

Ray turned around to see the Supreme King and zarc staring at her with intense hatred.

Supreme King: mind saying that again? You knew who caused all of this And. You. Didn't. Say. Anything!

Ray: I wanted to but-

Supreme King: oh were you scared! You couldn't do anything for what because it was your brother?! You let this son of a b**** get past us for the past 4 years he killed hundreds of civilians murder our parents! And now he has brought our kingdom to the f****** brink of collapse and you didn't say anything until now!! I may be near death and the afterlife awaits me but give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill the both of you right now.

Ray didn't say anything has tears started to flow from her eyes, her head then turned towards her husband and when she look into those golden eyes of his. she felt his anger and hatred that was thousands of times stronger than the Supreme Kings.

Zarc: you knew! You knew all this f****** time!! Why! why didn't you say anything! my parents f****** died and you knew who did it! You let this murderer run free and for what! For f****** what!

His eyes pierced into ray's waiting for her to reply but she didn't then and that was all the confirmation he needed.

Zarc: I can't believe I married you. we're done Ray after all I'm nearly dead and don't want to be with you in the afterlife with you.

He then pulled off his wedding ring from his finger and held it out towards her. She could do nothing but watch as he crushed the ring turning into dust as it seeped out of his hand onto the floor.

Ray just stood there and watched as everything she worked for. The happy life that she wanted crumble right in front of her all because she was too scared to report her brother.

Ray: I-Im so-sorr-

Supreme King: YOU DON'T GET TO BE F****** SORRY!! You're just as guilty as he is if not more. But for both our sake I will end you here and now and take out your traitor brother in the process.

Rays brother: I don't think that's going to happen your majesty.

Out of nowhere a shadow sword shot up from the ground and stabbed the king through his chest. Zarc couldn't even react as a spear shot from the ceiling and ran through his chest.

Ray horrified of the seen that just happened turn to her brother and was met with the back hand straight to her face.

Rays brother: now without that filthy Commander and the King I can now take the throne! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Ray: why would you do this brother! WHY!

Her brother turned to her with eyes feeling nothing but disgust and hatred.

ray's brother: it was because of you! Ray this Ray that I didn't f****** exist in our parents' eyes all because of you! You got everything you wanted and as for me I was stuck with nothing but humiliated and shamed by the other nobleman! And for what! Because I couldn't live up to your standards because I wasn't as good as you! This is all your fault and now I'm going to kill you so goodbye sister!!

Right before he could swing his Shadow sword down, a hand ran straight through his chest.

But this hand wasn't human it was like that of a dragons with black scales running across it completely covering the hand as bright blue lines of energy running through the hand.

The brother was then spun around and came face to face with Zarc who he thought was dead but he seemed completely different.

His eyes were still closed and when he open them they flashed a dangerous red. Has a dark Aura completely covered him and the entire throne room. The shadows then took the form of a massive dark dragon that stared down at them.

Rays brother: what the hell are you!!

Zarc: We. Are. ZARC!!!

He then stabbed two of his fingers through the brothers eyes before using those exact same two fingers to grab the inside of his skull and ripped his head from his shoulders.

Ray was horrified at the display of brutality, but the horror quickly shifted from the scene in front of her to zarc as he stared down at her.

Ray: Z-Zarc is that you?

Zarc: I'm not sure but I feel stronger so much stronger! Like I have the power to destroy the world!

Ray after hearing those words immediately took notice of his appearance. his eyes look power hungry as they kept staring down at his inhuman arm. It was almost like he was being controlled by some type of evil force.

Ray: Zarc get a hold of yourself!

Zarc: get a hold of myself what exactly am I getting a hold of? The Death of my brother the death of my family the betrayal of the one person I thought I could love?! Tell me Ray what exactly what exactly do I need to get a hold of cuz I understand everything!! But it doesn't matter anymore because everything that I loved the only people I care about. Are now dead ao what's the point in existing as a mere mortal. When I could become something so much more!

Ray: how did this even happen to you!?

Zarc: I thought I was dead but in actuality I was taking to a different plane were meant beings of power. And they were so much stronger than I could possibly imagine! They didn't abide by this world's concepts or logic they were just being they were true power! But they made a deal with me they would return me back to life and give me their power and in return I am to destroy everything! And why not! After all there's nothing else to live for why not destroy everything!

Ray: are you sure to go to become the world's destroyer! Are you-

Zarc: you know flapping your mouth like that in front of someone who you've betrayed is a very good way for that person to want to kill you! After all you know how the old saying goes "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."! So I shall become the world's ultimate villain! I shall transcend the bounds of humanity and reach past the gods I shall become something greater than everything in this world just like I always dreamed of! IT IS TIME THAT I BECOME THE GREATEST BEING IN THIS WORLD!!

The entire sky was turned into a black and red thunderstorm that bombarded the city and out of this cloud of Darkness could be heard a roar that put all of the beast roar to shame. And with a mighty flap of this being's wings it dispelled the cloud around him allowing The beings to see him.

The sacred beast and the wicked beast who are fighting stopped their assault and turn to this being. Thinking this being is challenging their positions of power they attacked the being. Only for this being to fire a massive neon green energy beam from its mouth that completely decimated the six gods sending them flying.

The people around the city started to cheer finally it looks like their nightmares finally about to an end. until the dragon looked down at them and attacked them.

And within the span of not even a hour the entire city was leveled and the wicked gods and sacred beast laid dead on the ground.

The dragon they gave one final roar towards the sky before it went off and started its journey down the path of carnage.

Flashback ended

(Y,N) just stood there flabbergasted he never imagined his partner would have to go through so much and in such a short amount of time.

(Y,N): damn that was quite the story I don't even know what to say.

Zarc: it would probably be the best if you stay that way. My past was filled with nothing but mistakes.

(Y,N): did you regret ever taking their power?

Zarc: no not even for a second.

(Y,N): that's good. But you know what it's late, I have classes tomorrow so I'm going to sleep now.

Zarc: yes that's probably a smart idea.

So the duelist vanish into Darkness and appeared inside of his dorm room and lay down and went to sleep thinking of the story that his partner had just told him.

(Y,N): that Alexis girl better not be a descendant of Ray or I swear to God I'll kill her myself.
