Pari never knew the insane amount of money an actor earns for one movie. In the second month of their marriage, Salem's new movie - a love story released and she was not prepared for what was about to happen!

The film was an instant hit with the audience, unlike the few movies Salem did before where he had limited screen time. This one got him all the love and accolades. Their home was filled with bouquets and gifts sent by friends, family and industry stars.

The movie's poster was at every highway in the city. Salem as the leading star had become evey girl's dream man. Pari barely remembered Salem being home that month. All she remembers were the calls, bouquets and expensive gifts Salem had brought.

Pari also attended her first movie premiere because of Salem. The heroine was very sweet, unlike what Pari expected her to be. It was clear that the heroine had no romantic interest in Salem, which relieved Pari.

Salem interacted with the media and allowed them to click pictures of his & Pari but requested them not to publish it anywhere, instead to give it personally to him.

All these years, it was the same rule for media : they were allowed to click here picture but never to publicise it. They all were bought by Salem and kept it in his own room.

Years back, a publication had printed Salem & Pari's picture where half her face was visible, and mentioned her Salem's special someone. Salem had personally barged in the media house and threatened the editor.

The only picture he ever allowed to be printed was the kiss picture, that too in such an angle where only people who are familiar with Pari, recognises her. He knew it was one way to get her.

Another hobby Salem loved was photography. In the beginning of the marriage, he got a Nikon camera, the old school camera where one had to develop the negative and then the photograph would come.

Pari thought it was an expensive purchase and scolded Salem for buying an expensive camera but when she got to know how much Salem earns as a leading hero, she was shocked for the entire day, asking him if he was joking.

As promised, Salem did take her to Europe for honeymoon but he barely let her get out of the room. He was always hungry for more and the rest of the time, Pari was too tired to move. While coming back, she complained to him about not seeing tourist locations.

It was a good seven months to the marriage when the honeymoon period started fading.

Pari had grown mature from a bratty daughter. Now, she was a wife. She started understanding his temper, his mood swings, his drunk behaviour and the times when he was fully focused on his work.

Today, she was waiting for him to be back from the shoot. It was 2 am. She had to go to the office early in the morning.

His mother had asked her to sleep at 12 am and not wait for Salem, but Pari wanted to talk to him and sleep.

The door knob opened and Salem entered with wobbly steps and cigarette in his hands. She was on her best behaviour, removing his socks, handing him his clothes.

When Salem came back, he lit another cigarette and sat on the bed.

"Kya chahiye?" Salem asked coldly.
(What do you want?)

"How do ...do you know?" Pari stumbled upon her words. Is he angry?

"I work with so many people. It's important for me to know their motives. Right now, your body language and behaviour tells me you want a favour."

"Speak." He commanded.

Pari thought twice. It didn't look like he was in a good mood. But then, it's better to ask him now than later.

"I....my...my office is going for a trip to Lonavala. Only for 2 days. I want to go too. Can I?" Pari asked.

"Hmm. Because you are asking so nicely, I might have considered. But no. You are not going anywhere." Salem declared.

"Why?" She asked instantly, her voice raised a bit.

He continued smoking his cigarette and blowing out the smoke.

"Salem. I shouldn't even be asking you. You come home so late, after enjoying everything. Here, if I want to go and enjoy, you are saying no. Salem, are you listening? I want to go. That's it." Pari was beyond angry. She wanted him to know and approve because it is a far off location and as her husband, he should be aware.

"Pari. It's a no. Don't test me." Salem said.

"Bhad me jaye tumhari marzi aur bhad me jao tum." (Hell with your opinion and hell with you) Pari almost yelled at him when he grabbed her jaw and tightened his fist.

"If I hear you say that again with that tone, you'll bear the consequences. If I said no, then my wife is not going anywhere." He left her jaw and smoked cigarette.

He brought her face close to his and blew it on her face. "Do. You. Understand?"

She wanted to argue with him but didn't think it was the right moment, so she just nodded and went to sleep.

The next day, Pari asked her in laws permission who happily granted her to go to Lonavala.

When Salem came to know this, he looked at Pari angrily and said, "Pari, come to the room once."

She entered the room with a smug smile on her face.

"Trying to act smart?" Salem asked.

"Think whatever you want. I want to go." Pari replied back.

"Either you are going with my terms and conditions, or you are not going at all. And I don't care if my parents gave you permission." Salem said.

"What are your conditions?" Pari asked.

"My men will be there for your security. Wajid will go with you." Salem said.

"No, not Wajid.... Tiger, Tiger is okay." She blurted quickly. Wajid was dangerous. Tiger seemed no harm.

"You will come back in one day." His other condition.

"Agreed." Pari was desperate to change his decision.

"If I hear about any man getting close to you, I swear you will not like the end of it." Salem warned her.

"No one talks to me much anyway. Now, can I go?" Pari asked to which Salem nodded.

She hugged him and said thank you as she hurriedly thought of what all to pack.
