Chapter 9

"September twelfth, twenty seventy-two. Six PM." She walked around the table examining her work, "subject x seems to be responding negatively with the treatment."

She felt their skin, noticing it was steaming hot, "I'm now injecting treatment five inside the subject, hoping this will stabilize them." She put down her recorder and proceeded preparing the treatment.

"Please stop doing this." The subject woke up. Their eyes bloodshot red stared at her, "I-I can't do this anymore, it hurts!"

She flicked the needle, "now, injecting the treatment into the subject." She brought the needle close to her skin.

They started to resist, "Stop! Stop! I can't take it anymore!"

Guards came in and started to hold her down. Once again She came close to their skin and pierced the needle through.

She took off her gloves, "now waiting for the treatment to take its affect."

She turned off her recorder and headed out the door.

"Dr. V! Dr. V!" A woman was running behind her with crumbled papers in her hands.

She sighed, "What is it now, Flare."

"That ship from Tokyo is here. They need you down there to tell them what you want then to do with it."

"No! I don't want any of them to touch it, I'll be there in a minute. Send someone up here to watch over the test subject."

"Right away."

She looked back in the room to see the men still holding down the subject.

"This needs to work."

Another scientist came from yhe room, "They really need you Dr. V."

She continued to stare, watching, as they struggled to get away from the guards. Enjoying, watching them struggle, suffer.

"Ok so what do we have so far?"

"We haven't touched it like you said but we found something interesting." She followed her apprentice to the examination room, "we haven't found any signs of space travel."

She lifted her brow, "What do you mean? It made a hundred seventy deep crater in the ground."

"I know but there were no burn marks from entering the atmosphere or residue from-"

"Ok, ok." She paced back and forth, "if it didn't come from space then is it from another country and landed here? Testing?"

"That's what we thought, but we checked with every space program and military program and none were doing any test in the past month."

"If it's not from space or from us. Then where is it from?"

"I don't know, but we did find something else." She lead her over to the ship, "we found what looks like a date."

"What does a date have to do with this?"

"You might want to take a look at the year."

She put on her glasses and examined the date, "April twenty fourth, twenty ninety-nine."

"Twenty seven years from now."

She picked herself back up, "we can't just believe everything we see Flare, you know that. We need proof, evidence. Until you can prove to me that this ship is from twenty ninety-nine, you need to keep running test."

"Yes mam."

"And don't keep me waiting Flare, you know how much I don't like waiting."

"Yes, I know." She bowed her head.

"Good, get to work."

"Doctor, the general needs to speak with you." A soldier came in, saluting her.

"Lead the way soldier."

They both walked into the room where the general was standing, looking into a window, "you better have a good reason for inturrupting my work, general."

"My men went out to look for more clues about the alien."

"And?"

"I don't think she's a alien ."

"She?" He handed her the pictures.

"Tourist from the area gave us new evidence to assume that she's not an alien."

"Don't assume general. They could just look like us. If we really want to know, we need her here."

"It seems like that's going to be happening soon. Before they escaped, we have survalance of the girl walking into her apartment." She walked to the glass window to see the girl from that night, "we're trying to see if she can give is any kind of lead."

They watched an investigator walk into the room with a plate of cookies and milk, "Hey sweety."

The girl didn't speak. She only played with her hair.

"I brought you something, just in case you were hungry."

The girl glanced to her side to see the cookies and milk, her face immediately lit up.

"They're just for you." She set the plate and glass of milk on the table.

The girl instantly reached her hand out and grabbed a cookie, stuffing her mouth with the cookies one by one.

"Is it ok if I ask you some questions?"

The little girl stopped eating and nooded slowly, looking at the investigator.

"A couple days ago, did someone break into your house?"

She nodded up and down.

"Was it this girl?" They slid a picture in front of the girl.

She nodded.

"Did she say anything to you?"

She hesitated speaking.

"It's ok. You're safe here." The investigator held her hand.

She finally spoke, "She said that she wanted to know where fairy tail academy was."

"Do you know why she was headed there?"

"She said she needed to find someone."

"Did she say who this person was?"

She shook her head, "no."

The investigator smiled at her, "you were a big help." They ruffled her hair and started heading out of the room.

"Can I go home now?" The girl asked, pleading with her eyes.

"Yes, soon." The investigator left the room.

"I guess we're headed to fairy tail academy." The general said.

"I wonder why they would be headed there. Is she a meta human?"

"We don't know until we get there. I'll send a team there in the morning."

"Fine, but first we need to wipe her."

The generals eyes widened, "we can't do that, she too young for electric shock."

"She can't know about this, for all we know she could leave here and report back to the alien."

"We don't know how her bodies going to handle it."

"Well general, it's either that... or we kill her."
