"We're almost there! Just a little further."

"Cana! Wake up! I can't keep carrying you, I feel like my back is going to snap in half."

"I can't Luna, I'm not cut out for this." She passed out.

"No Cana! Breathe woman!"

"Just over this bridge." Gajeel said.

"We have thirty more seconds." Jellal warned.

"We're not going to make it! If we don't cross that bridge we're going to trigger the alarm!"

"We gotta move faster everyone!" Juvia yelled.

"You don't think we know that!" Levy huffed, "I can't run anymore."

"You don't have a choice."

All of them were running full speed across the bridge, with only a few more seconds.

"Hey! Wait for me!" Luna yelled. She was halfway across the bridge.

Gajeel turned around, "who let the kid carry the passed out lady?!"

Luna ran as fast as her legs could take. Her breathing became uneven and her heart rate going at an incredible speed. She felt like her heart was going to explode out of her chest.

She was panting, "I-I can't do this anymore." She tripped over a wooden board, causing her to fall over with Cana.

"She's not going to cross in ten seconds." Jellal said, "should we leave them?"

"No you idiot! We don't leave friends behind." Levy smacked the back of his head.

"But how are we-" a gush of wind went passed him almost making him loose his balance, "What the hell was that?" He turned to the source.

"Lucy!"

"I'm coming guys!" She ran on the bridge making sure not to lose her step. One small mistake could cause the mission to go to failure.

She reached to their location, "are you guys ok?" She picked up Luna and Cana putting them on her shoulder.

"If my heart wasn't feeling like it exploded then I would feel a lot better."

She began to pick up speed, "five more seconds." Jellal said.

She continued gaining speed going as fast as she could, "you guys are really heavy." She huffed.

"Three more seconds!" Jellal said.

"Come on guys!" Erza yelled.

"I can't watch!" Natsu said, covering his eyes.

Lucy knew that she couldn't get across in time by just running, so she did what any other logical person would do.

She jumped.

She jumped as high and long as her legs could take her.

"She's gonna make it!" Levy screamed putting her hands up.

"Hey, woah, woah, woah! Wait-" She crashed into Gajeel, making them roll at least ten feet back.

She lifted her head off the ground, "that really hurt." She rubbed her head.

"At least you had a soft landing." Gajeel said.

She looked down to see she was sitting on him, "Oops, sorry." She stood up, dusting herself off.

Gray and Natsu ran towards them, "ok all I have to say is that was totally badass!" Gray said, pulling Lucy to her feet.

"Oh it was nothing."

"Hey, you saved our asses back there. If you hadn't done that we would have been caught and had to face Makarov's wrath." Natsu said, shivering at the thought of Makarov's wrath.

"Y-Yeah..." She turned aroumd to see Cana still knocked out and Luna puking out her guts.

"I'm never running again." Luna whispered.

"Come on Luna." She picked Luna off the ground, "I'll carry you."

"Ok." She dug her head into Lucy shoulders. She could feel a smile forming being in her mother's embrace once again.

Everyone turned around to hear the snores coming from Cana, "I got her." Erza picked Cana up, putting her on her shoulder.

"Mmm, you smell like strawberrycake." She said, taking a bite into Erza's hair.

"Hey stop it! It's just my shampoo!"

They followed Lucy through the garden and onto the other side of the campus. It felt like they were walking for days. They were dehydrated and malnourished. They needed something quick.

Lucy carefully was watching her surroundings until she heard voices, "Everyone get down!" She whispered, ducking behind the bushes.

"What's wrong?" Juvia asked.

"Three guards up ahead." She peeked above the bushes, "ok when I say go, one of you rush over to the fountain."

They all nodded. "I'll go first." Gray volunteered.

"Alright, on my signal." Lucy peeked over one more time. Both guards turned around talking to each other, distracted, "go!"

Gray started running towards the fountain. He rolled, did flips, and anything else that was extra and not needed.

"What the hell are you doing Gray! We don't need all of that!" Lucy whispered loudly.

"Sorry, I just got into the moment there. It's been my dream to become a spy-"

"I don't care! Don't get us caught."Lucy said.

"Ok... meanie." He pouted.

She shook her head and peeked back over the bush. The guards were at full attention now, aware of their surroundings.

"Damn." She duck behind the bushes, "we need a distraction."

"I can do that." Natsu smirked, standing up.

"Alright, but don't let them see you though."

"I got this, princess." He adjusted his glasses.

"Princess?" Lucy tilted her head.

He lit his hands on fire, "when you see the signal you all run to the other side and don't stop."

"Ok, what's the signal?"

"You'll know when you see it." He smirked running toward the guards.

"He's going to get us caught." Juvia whispered.

They were looking around waiting for the signal. A few minutes passed by and nothing.

"Maybe they got him?" Gajeel said.

"No, he's smarter than that." Juvia said.

"Ten bucks says you're wrong."

"Deal."

An explosion went off behind them. Flames could be seen from around the campus.

"I think that's our signal!" Lucy said running toward the other side.

"Go! Go! Go!" They turned to see Natsu running, full speed.

Everyone rushed passed the guards, heading toward the destination.

"You owe me ten bucks!" Juvia yelled.

"Shut up!"

They all slowed down to catch their breaths, "that was sick! What did you do? I saw that explosion from the fountain." Gray asked.

"I blew up a bunch of dynamite and fireworks." They all flinched when they heard firecrackers going off in the background.

"So now that we're across campus, where's your dorm?" Levy asked, huffing.

"Through the forest."

"Woah! Woah! Woah! You live in the forest?" Natsu asked.

"Yep, as far away from the campus as possible as Makarov says." She said, doing a Makarov impression.

"You see that's where I draw the line, forest aren't exactly my thing."

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot you were scared of the forest. It was because of that bear." Gray laughed.

"You promised to never bring that back up!" Natsu yelled.

"It's not that far in the forest Natsu. Just follow me and you won't get lost."

"Lead the way." Erza said, balancing Cana on her shoulder.

They all followed Lucy as she lead the way. It was extremely dark and chilly outside, making this forest even more creepier.

"I can't believe we're doing this just for a secret base." Levy said, "I blame you Gajeel."

"Hey, I didn't say we had to go."

"But you just had to say something about it!"

"Calm down shrimp, you didn't have to come with us in the first place."

"How many times do I have to tell you?! Don't call me shrimp!" Levy yelled.

"Stop yelling!" Lucy said, "we can still be heard from the campus."

"Then tell shrimp over here to stop complaining."

"You know what metal face-"

"Enough!" Lucy yelled, "Stop being so childish and keep walking. Hearing both of you nag makes me want to pull my hair out."

"Meanie." They both said.

Lucy turned around and smelled the air, "we're here." She smiled.
