This can't be real. It just can't.

I fall to my knees in defeat. What reason is there to complete the puzzle house now? The only reason was to set the people of my former village free, and to see my family once again. There is no point anymore.

Wait, the puzzle house. I was there, with Shard, Eris, Jayne, and Nikki. This is impossible, it's not real. With a sigh i close my eyes.

I'm done being a child, the riddle was right. I'm the only one who's been able to figure out the illusion.

My eyes jolt open. I'm on my knees in a large empty room of bricks. My friends all portraying separate emotions around me. They lead me through the other death rooms, now I'll return the favor. I march up to Shard who's throwing every type of battle defence and attack that she can. For once she looks fearful, not angry or unreadable like she's been. She cries out as she grabs at her chest. Opening her eyes, tears spilling from them, she whimpers and mutters a single sentence.

"Why, Cymar..."

I lean down so I'm kneeling over her. I put my hands to her shoulders, shaking them rapidly.

"Shard?! If you can hear me then know that this isn't real. whatever you're seeing is an illusion. Your childhood friend hasn't hurt you in anyway, Wake Up!"

Her eyes once again blink open, staring at me. she sit up, knocking me off her and across the room. I groan slightly, then realize i had bumped into someone else. with a glance back at Shard, making sure she's no longer in the rising sea level of her nightmares state, i look at who I had hit.

"Oh, here's the rabbit!" Nikki stares down at me, obviously in his own head. But i can't help but be fearful. His eyes had been reversed to cat like slits, claws emerged from his hands. He lunges at me, I fall on my back by nature. He pins me down, myself writhing in agony, burning myself on the rough, jagged flooring. He raises one clawed hand above his head, before slashing it across my face. I yelp, feeling the warm liquid of blood emanate from my wound. I let out a second screech of pain as his nails are dug into my arm, only to be ripped violently from my flesh. I look up to see that Shard had recovered and had thrown herself at Nikki, tearing her off my pained form. A few extra minutes of struggling before Shard spoke.

"Nikki, stop! You're hurting friends! Remember us? We're in the containment centre puzzle house. Snap out of the trance!"

The morpher stopped. her claws retracting back into her skin and her eyes becoming human once again. His breathing heavy as he sits up and looks around. First confused as to why Shard is crouched over him, then surprised at me. I lift my hand to my face, wincing as my fingers come in contact with the three claw marks over my right cheek and above my eye. Nikki stands and walks over to me, guilt plastered on his face. He helps me to my feet.

"Sorry." was simply the apology he gave, unable to say much else in this moment of surprise.

I nod, acknowledging him. neither of us making eye contact.

"Shard, could you and Nikki go find the doorway out? maybe start deciphering the riddle if you'd like to try. I'm gonna continue waking the others."

"On it!"

Nikki glances at me once before following Shard to search the walls for the familiar gold plate and gateway. Sighing, I start the short trek towards Jayne. The speedster is practically fuming.

"You think you're SO much better than me! don't you? just because you're the older twin! I'm doing everything i can to help our friends and family and all you can do is brag about yourself!"

I inch my way closer to her, as close as i can without getting hit in the face by her swinging arms.

"Think about others for once in your life Piper!"

I grab Jaynes arms quickly restricting her movement.

"Huh?! Sam? Finally!" She turns to look at the empty space she was yelling at prior.

"See? She's helping too! So is Nikki, Eris, and A Stenith named Shard! See what I we can do?"

I pull Jayne so she's facing me.

"Wha-"

"Jayne, Snap outta it! Your under an illusion that the current challenge has put us all under. I need you to realise that whoever you're arguing with isn't actually here."

She stares at me confused, looking back at where whoever Piper was standing. Then back at me.

"Pipers my twin brother, thanks for untrancing me." She gives me a grin, then frowns.

" What happened to your arm and face?"

"Nikki. Thought she was hunting in her illusion and i was her prey, I'll be fine. Go help Shard and him crack the riddles code while i wake Eris okay?"

She gives me one last unsure glance before fulfilling my task and sprinting to the others.

Only one more to wake.

I walk over to Eris tiredly, waiting for some type of recognition as to what she's seeing. Her head suddenly twists towards me, eyes wide with tears. She gasps before running at me, engulfing me in a hug.

I only shift uncomfortably.

"Ellie! Oh Ellie.I thought you were gone with the others." I realize what she's talking, about quickly remembering her brief backstory she had presented when we arrived in the relaxation level.

She leans back, still holding me in her arms.

"Wheres Erin? She with mom or dad?"

"No I-"

"That's okay, at least we have each other." She brushes my short hair with her fingers, a relieved smile spreading across her face. I don't know if i want to wake her from this, I had the same illusion. If i step away she will feel the same i had felt when I had done so to Jackson in my nightmare. however, no one interfered with mine, and it still went horribly wrong. I can't just leave her here either. The next level has to be her anyways. I must be honest with her.

"I told them i do anything to get you back, You and Erin. now i have you."

With a deep breath a start to speak. slowly and clearly.

"Eris,I'm sorry to say this. But you will break like i did if i let this go on. I'm not Ellie." She looks confused at me before letting a low chuckle emit from her voice.

" Did i confuse the two of you again? Sorry Erin."

I sigh, i don't want to do this.

"No Eris. Listen to me. It's Sam, the Invisia that's helping Nikki, Jayne, Shard, and you through the puzzle house. I truly wish that i could instead have been your sisters, but the truth is that we must defeat the next test before getting through. you are in and illusion. WAKE UP!"

She blinked rapidly, confused. Confusion morphing to realization, then anguish. She let go my me backing away.

"I'm sorry Eris. I didn't want to take you from your vision. My illusion was similar, i saw my brother. But i had to snap myself from my trance, and that didn't end happily. I couldn't leave you to the same image."

Guilt washes over her features, completely eliminating the anguish.

She looked down, I put my hand on her shoulder reassuringly.

"I'll make it my goal to get us all reunited with our families. promise. now, I'm pretty sure you must be the one to unlock the next level."

She nods, guilt and regret still splattered over her face. She follows me to the others. taking the handling with a sigh and flinging it open.
