Jonah
"She's like that flying cat, doesn't want help when she needs it." I whispered to myself.
"Jonah, Tia doesn't need help." Mr. Mackin put his hand on his face and sighed.
"Well obviously she does, she has anger issues." I stated.
"Jonah, just go wait for her outside. Wait by the exit downstairs; go quickly in case you miss her." Mr. Mackin seemed tired of me already, and it had only been ten minutes. As I ran down the flight of stairs, I knocked into so many people, even a little kid. It was strange; though, the kid didn't get hurt but she still ended up crying.
I waited a good ten minutes before she got down the stairs, "Hey Tia, ready to go home?"
She stopped dead in her tracks, as if I scared her, "Oh, we have to wait until my mom gets here," she sat down at a picnic table, and motioned for me to come sit down next to her. We sat in silence for a good while until her mom came, and then we sat in silence in the car. The car ride was the best I'd ever been in. There were new buildings and people I've never seen before; it just seemed so new and beautiful! Even the sidewalks covered in old gum, everything seemed beautiful.

"Well, welcome to your new home, for six months and six months only." Tia unlocked the door to the three bedroom apartment. Her mom said we're in some city called Las Vegas, which is in some state called Nevada, which is in some country called the United States of America. Tia says that is a weird title, since the United States isn't very united right now.
"It's so, well, small." I opened a door that goes to some place which I'm guessing is the apartment.
"Jonah, that's a closet." She grabbed my shoulders and turned me around, letting me see the entire apartment with all its doors and windows.
"Oh yeah, we have closets back on my planet, too. I just forgot." I walked farther and farther into the apartment. It's not like I haven't seen an apartment before: I used to live in one, it's just that this one is different. It's cozy but it has its messes, like the dishes in the sink, and it's also warm and welcoming.
"Oh, okay. Well," Walking to a door, she opened it and motioned for me to take a look, "this is your room."
"Great! Well, if I need anything, I'll come to you, but for now, I'm going to unpack my stuff." I walked towards the door and shut it behind her.
