It all started one hot summer day...... (How lame)

Jintan's POV

It was a hot hot hot hot hot summer day. Typical weather. I was playing video games. Typical me.

...Then there are the creepy couple outside, the boyfriend talking about how her tits have gotten bigger. How disgusting.

"Die,die,die,die,die,die! Don't leave any of your recessive genes behind! You damned sex addict!" ( Wow Jintan is such an angry teen he's like yurio )

Then a familiar voice spoke.

"Ne, ne, Jintan, is that Building Builder?"

"No way! Women are so brainless."

"Ehhh?!But he looks so much like him! Look at his lips; see how they're so puffy?"

"If that's the only criteria, then even the old guy from Abacus Tutor looks like building build- eeeehhh??!!"

Is that Menma? No...... It can't be... It must be the summer heat. I must be hallucinating.

"Yeah, but Jintan... Eh? Jintan?"

I blink. It can't be. I ignore her and get up to make some ramen.

Summer's beast is fierce indeed.

"Hey!! No fair!!! I want salty ramen too!"

Ughhh... The summer heat is getting to me... That can't be her...

"OHH, an egg!" (Menma have you not had EGGS before??!! *le gasp*)

"I want egg soup, egg soup!"

I closed my eyes. It can't be her. It can't .

"Ne, Jintan?"

"The egg... It's gonna be lumpy."

She suddenly started shaking me by the shoulders.

"Stir the egg, stir it, stir it!"

My dad walked in.

"Hey what's that? Ramen? That looks good. Make some for me too."

Menma is very talkative, huh......

I sighed. "Yeah, fine."

"Awesome! How cute."

Ughhh . He says everything is cute.

-Time skip to when the ramen is finished cause I'm a disappointment-

"Ittadakimasu!"

Then......

He started adding a shit load of pepper into his ramen. "Pepper, pepper and more pepper!" Seriously...?

Then Menma came and sat right in my lap with her cheeks puffed out.

"Eeeek!!" I couldn't help but let out a surprised exclamation. I said it was nothing to my father and it was completely fine until......
She started twisting and moving around on my lap crying for chopsticks. I think she forgot where she was sitting*insert lenny face here*... Ackkk! I couldn't help it... And fainted. (Ohhhhhh *insert another Lenny face here*)

"What's wrong? Jintan? Did you get a heatstroke from sitting in the house?'

That summer back then......

*le flashback*

The birds were chirping. The sunlight was gently shining in through the gaps between the leaves and the branches. "Be careful, Jintan!" Menma shouted. Jintan was climbing up a tall tree. "I'm fine!" He said and slipped a little. He caught a beetle. Then Anaru exclaimed:" Wow! Jintan's the biggest one for sure!" As Jintan held up the beetle he caught.
"That's right!"
"Tch." Yukiatsu let out a noise of annoyance while learning against a tree.
Tsuruko agreed that the beetle was big while holding a stack of books. She was always logical and analytical. Typical bookworm too.
Poppo exclaimed,"Jintan is so cool!"
"I know right!" Emi agreed. She was dangling upside down from the branch of a tree.

"Emi, be careful!!" Menma yelled.

Who I was back then......

"Ne, Jintan." Menma said.

"What's up?" Jintan turned to look at her.

"Actually......" She looked down and blushed."I have a wish."

*le flashback ends*

Ughhhhhh... I don't feel so good... I reached out my hand and touched my forehead.

"What happened......"

I feel a weight on my chest. I look down and saw Menma lying on my chest, sleeping peacefully.

I'm sick. No doubt. All of the stress and trauma that I've accumulated till now have become corporeal due to the summer heat......

Menma moved her position and...

Even my pubescent sexual urges have been thrown into the mix!

"For now...... Let's just say that you're here as the embodiment of my stress. But...... Why did you appear now? And on top of that...... Why did you appear as a mature version of yourself?"

"Ummmm...... Let me think...... I have NO IDEA!" she exclaimed happily.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" Jintan cried.

"But......" She continued, "I think I want to have my wish come true. That's it!"

"Your wish? What are you talking about?"

I gritted my teeth. Seriously ..... This girl!

"How can you get your wish fulfilled if you don't even know what it is??!"

"But I really do get the feeling that's the reason. What could it be?"

"How would I know??!!"

"Ewwwww! You spat on me! Barrier!" She yelled, doing a pose with her hands that indicates a barrier.

She is the summer beast.......
She is my stress.
She is my trauma.

"For now, just try to remember what your wish was."

"Oh yeah, about that! It is a wish that could only come true if everyone was together!"she said, putting down her hands.

*Le dramatic gasp*

"Everyone? You mean......."

Just then,the doorbell rang.

"Haiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!" Menma yelled while running to the door.

"Wait! I told you to wait!"

"But someone's at the door!"

"What would happen if you opened the door? Just be quiet and wait!"

Andddd...... The door slid open. Or more like, banged open. A girl with orange hair in pigtails and brown eyes stood there.

Anaru's POV

"What are you doing?" I said while glaring at Jintan. It kinda looks like he was holding hands with ...... Air?

I feel a sudden weight on my neck, as if someone had hugged me. I was very confused.

"Oii, calm down!" Jintan said out of the blue.

"Calm down? I'm not exactly worked up." I said, puzzled.

"Oh ..... Yeah."

"I feel like there's a weight on my neck......" I said, confused, while massaging my neck.

"So, what's up?" Jintan asks.

"Here." I said ,handing him a package. "The teacher told me to bring your summer homework to you."

"Now? There are only two days left of summer break, you know."

"Unlike you, I have a lot going on," I said, pushing the package roughly in his hands.

Why did I do that... Geez... That idiot...!

"Then you should have thrown this somewhere." He retorted." Besides, I don't feel like going to that school for retards anymore."

"I don't care whether you come to school or not. But you should be ashamed of yourself." I glared at him. I tied to look mad and cold but I couldn't help the pain and hurt that reflected in my eyes.

Silence.

"Bye." I said while closing the door. Then I stomped home angrily.

Geez! That Baka! Does he only think of of himself? Ughhh!

I suddenly look at my nails.

Sigh...

Menma's POV

"Jintan!"I yelled at him."You big dummy!"

Menma is very mad right now!

"Tch." He replied while taking off his fever relief pad.( Or whatever that is called jajajaja)

"Why didn't you ask her??!" I said while banging the table." Just say, 'Let's grant her wish together, Anaruuuu!'" I said, making sure to accentuate the 'u' so that Jintan knows Menma is mad!

"First of all, don't calm her Anaru. Pick either Anjou or Naruko and stick with it.

"Why should I? Anaru is Anaru." I questioned. We used to call her Anaru, so why change now?

"She's nice to everyone, and has lots of video games and manga." (OTAAKUUUUUUUU//-slapped)

"That's what I mean!"

Now I'm even more confused.

"She's not the Anaru she was back then anymore. That rotten bitch wouldn't even help me if I asked her."( WaTch YouR ProFANitY)

"'Rotten bitch?'"( Nooooo my innocent SMOL Menma nononnono//-)

"It means, 'stupid woman!' Anyway, she's not my friend anymore!"

I don't like it! Menma doesn't like how Jintan is like this!

"I hate that!"

"I hate that! I don't like it when you say bad things about Anaru!"

"Menma...."

"Come on, let's go talk to her again! Let's ask her, Jintan!"

Jintan's POV

Her look... Her expression, her hair, her action... Everything about her, it was exactly the same as that day...

It's so painful...

"Jintan?"

"Alright already."

"Now that you've seen Anjou you should understand what it means for your wish. And it's not just Anjou, everything has changed since back then. I clenched my fists.

"Ne, Jintan, are you ready yet?"

"Ah yeah yeah yeah, I'm coming."

"You're wearing a hat and glasses?"

"Don't worry about it. Come on, let's go."

"Yeah."

I was going to open the door. Then I heard voices.

Ughhh... They are gossiping again.

I took a deep breath and open the door.

Menma ran out.

Act normal, act normal, don't talk to Menma, remember , they can't see her.

I greeted them politely.

Thennnn Menma spoke and I told her to shut up.

Ah dang I forgot! How awkward...

I walked away and she ran everywhere excitedly.

Those grannies got me really worked up, but no one gives a me a second thought. Even Anjou said as much."

Menma bent down and picked some wild flowers. Then she danced on top of the fence and fell.

Flashbacks of that day resurfaced and I instinctively lunged forward. Instead, I tripped.

"Yadomi?"

"Emi?"

She was wearing a light blue hoodie with the words "I'ᴍ ɴᴏᴛ ᴀ ᴛꜱᴜɴᴅᴇʀᴇ I ᴀᴄᴛᴜᴀʟʟʏ ʜᴀᴛᴇ ʏᴏᴜ" printed on it in black and a pair of white shorts and her hair was in a messy bun.

Her hoodie though...... WhEre Can I BuY It??!! Does It cOme In black? Does It HaVe OtHer Si//- ( ehhh... I couldn't help it sorry #notsorry :P)

My thoughts were interrupted by Emi.

"Menma?"

Ok this is actually kinda long ( I think). I am using the plot and the storyline of the actual anime, so yeah, it might be kinda boring. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter.
