He was suspecting that she was again upto something

Ketan immediately recollected everything &instantly became nervous

Hetal was still blackmailing ketan but unknown to them, avni had overheard their conversation, when she was coming back from the kitchen
She recorded a short video of their discussion, thinking that it might help in exposing their more crimes

Avni returned to her room& saw that neil was still sleeping
She was about to call neela maa but received an incoming call from her instead

Neela sighed& told avni about the call she received early in the morning which left avni shocked

Avni also played the recording after which other people clearly understood that hetal& ketan were again hiding something
Lawyer told them to keep a close watch on hetal& ketan's discussions

1 week later-

Amol stood in the waiting area, outside the courtroom with hetal& ketan
Soon, he saw AvNeil, neela maa& the lawyer walking towards them
Amol scanned them from head to toe& then faced neil

Neil although isne tumse kaha nahi hoga par isse bhi tumhare akelepan pe taras hi aaya hoga isiliye isne tumse dosti kari
And propose bhi issi ne kiya hoga bcz ye sab tumhare bas ki toh baat nahi h

Amol bragged alot about hetal& ketan's helpfulness& that they had a big heart bcz they let neil stay with them
He mentioned all the "so called favours" his parents had done on neil

After that, he passed many filthy comments about AvNeil &their relationship
As long as amol was passing comments about neil, he ignored it

But when amol started passing filthy comments about avni, neil started to loose his cool& was becoming furious every passing second but avni held his clentched fists& rubbed them in circular motions to calm him
She was calm

She had helped neela alot in her work& attended few court cases as well with her so she had deciphered amol's intensions& didnt react at all

She understood that amol wanted to instigate neil so that neil would loose his temper& burst out on him so that he could show that how violent neil was- by words or physical injuries which would make amol's side of the case more strong

But to amol's surprise, neither did avni react to his statements nor did neil
He saw his idea going flop& frowned from inside but didnt show it on his face

But all this while, he didnt know how many shocks were awaiting him
Soon, they got informed that it was time for hearing of their case so everyone entered the courtroom &got seated

The hearing started& alot of accusations& objections were passed by both sides

When amol had started thinking that he was going to win the case, AvNeil's lawyer kept in front all the evidences which proved chachi chacha guilty-

Neil's physical injuries, the type of terrible house environment in which he was surviving, medical reports showing his poor immunity& alot more

These evidences were presented in previous hearings as well but chacha chachi had hid these facts& information from amol& told him a totally different story, picturing themselves as neil's saviors& picturing neil as a spoilt brat

Now, amol could only give a shocked look to his parents bcz all those evidences which were presented in court, proved his parents 100% guilty- he very well knew that there was barely any chance of his parents being saved from getting sentenced again

AvNeil's lawyer noticed amol's expression& understood that he was not aware of these truths which his parents had hidden from him

He smirked from inside& rubbed salt on amol's wound by mentioning that how terribly his parents had lied to him by hiding their true faces
This increased the support of neil's side even more

Amol hadnt got over this shock when suddenly, AvNeil's lawyer threw his triumph card- disclosing a truth which nobody else knew

L-your honour, men court men 1 video recording present karne ki permission chahta hu

This video recording was longer than the one which avni had shot previously& had much more detailed information so avni shared this one with their lawyer

Recording was played in court& everyone saw chacha chachi sitting in their room& arguing about who had a bigger share in the crime& who was more responsible for it
But unknown to them, someone had shot a video of their confession

In the recordings, hetal was again blackmailing ketan that if he exposed her, then she will also expose him so he shouldnt double cross her

While arguing, she confessed that how the duo bribed criminals& murdered neil's parents, when they were going to attend a wedding& had left neil at home

In flow of the argument, ketan also confessed that how they showed the incident as an accident

But after this, hetal started to blame ketan bcz he didnt do full research about prakash's will& only thought that it had lot of money so he didnt go through the will fully

Hetal confessed that they had also planned to kill neil after looking for the right opportunity but after shweta& prakash's murder, they got to know that that it wasnt any random will-

It was carefully planned by prakash& it stated that it was on the name of neil& his futures family& nobody else could claim their rights on the will

And if anything happened to neil before he got married, all the property& finances will automatically goes to orphanage so they had to skip the plan to kill neil

Flashback, few days ago-

AvNeil had returned home early& were going towards their room, thinking about amol's arrival next week when they heard hetal& ketan again arguing

Although they didnt want to overhear arguments about their personal life but since the lawyer had told them to keep an eye, so avni switched on her phone's camera& shifted it to video mode

She adjusted the phone through the slightly opened door& recorded their entire argument about blaming eachother& confessing the story of shweta& prakash's murders

Flashback over

While avni felt disgusted on seeing all this, neil was stunned by the news
His uncle& aunt turned him into an orphan overnight, just to grab his father's wealth?

He wasnt able to digest this news& was so shocked that he stood at his position like a statue, even after the argument of chacha chachi had ended

AvNeil room-

Avni had somehow fetched neil to their room
She locked the door& made him sit on the bed

In the next moment, neil clung to her waist &broke down in tears while avni kept standing &caressed his hair
Neil didnt know what to speak

He didnt even mumble a word-
All he did was to cry his heart out
His wound of loosing his parents which had started to heel by avni's love, had been scratched& refreshed again in the worst way possible

When neil's breath started to become abnormal bcz of continuous crying, avni immediately rubbed his back& kissed his head

Avni too, was broken but she wiped off her tears& tried her best to not show her broken state bcz she knew that if she broke down, then nobody will be able to handle neil

She kneeled on her knees in front of neil& passed him the glass of water kept on the side table
Neil was refusing but avni madehim drink it

Then, she sat up on the bed by support of the bed's headrest& placed neil's head in her lap
She could feel her knees getting wet& she understood that neil was still crying, though silently

She started to caress his hair to put him to sleep for a while
When neil finally slept off, avni shut her eyes& let her tears flow

Neil was shattered all over again- like a glass which was thrown on the floor& it was broken into thousands of tiny pieces

Avni suddenly wiped her tears& made a determined face

A(to herself)-i promise you neil

Avni kissed neil's forehead& he turned around& wrapped his arms around her waist while hiding his face in her stomach

Ps- the AvNeil scene happened just after chachi chacha confession& the scene was needed to be kept in continuation so its there
The lawyer didnt mention it in court

Hetal& ketan were stunned to hear this truth
Before they could say anything, they heard the judge's voice

J-the court is taking a break for half hour
The case hearing will proceed further after the break

Saying that, judge banged the gavel on the round sound block& everyone got up in respect

Until now, neil was trying his best to not break down in front of everyone, after hearing the truth of his parent's death
But when the judge announced a break, neil got down from the witness box& sat on the bench, beside avni

Avni immediately hugged him tightly, while rubbing his back
Neela maa wasnt with them bcz she had to attend an urgent meeting at the last moment so avni had to console neil's broken condition all by herself

A-neil i know tum iss waqt kesi situation ko face karre ho

Neil looked at avni with expressions of a small helpless child

Neil rested his head on her shoulder to get some support

While avni was consoling a broken neil, chachi chacha had also got off the witness box

Ketan had understood that there was no chance of them getting saved from imprisonment but hetal still had hopes, which were obviously false& baseless bcz their biggest crime of 2murders was now out in the open,  in front of the law

Still, hetal moved towards amol in hope that he will rescue them but he too, moved his face to other side

Although he too, hated neil bcz ketan worked under prakash& this made amol feel inferior to neil but no matter what he tries, he wont be able to save his parents now bcz in the eyes of law, they were proved murderers& he didnt have the right to go against the law

He was even more frustrated by the fact that his parents had hid so much information from him& told him so many false stories bcz in reality, the case was totally opposite to what they had described& all this made their case even more weak

Before hetal could say anything, amol told his parents that if they get imprisonment, then he wont challenge the court's decision &will simply back off from the case

Ketan had already expected something like this to happen so he wasnt surprised
But hetal wasnt ready to face this reality& kept on requesting amol for saving them- even if they have to bribe the judge

Although amol was a spoilt brat, he had seen how terribly strict the legal system in foreign countries is& it had influenced his mind that even if legal system wasnt so strong, he still couldnt misuse it so he gave hetal disgusted looks bcz of her mindset that money can buy everything

After the break ended, the hearing was resumed

J-after taking a look at all the evidences& listening to both sides, the court concludes that Mr& Mrs Ketan Khanna are proven guilty
Mr Amol Khanna, do you want to challenge the decision of the court?

Am-no your honour
I respect the decision taken by the court& i dont want to challenge it further

Judge nodded& then spoke

J-the court declares the sentence of life imprisonment to Mr& Mrs Ketan Khanna for being guilty in the murders of Mr& Mrs Prakash Khanna
The case is closed

Bang!

The sound of gavel hitting the round sound block hit differently for different people-

While AvNeil were happy that neil& his parents got justice, ketan was disheartened but he had prepared himself mentally for how his life was going to be from now onwards

But hetal's case wasnt the same
She started to think that her son couldnt get his own parents justice &framed them for a crime they didnt commit
She was probably on the way to lose her mind because she was still not ready to accept the reality

Soon, they were taken to the jail in police van
