1000 AD
NORWAY

FOR THE PAST 500 years The Eternals had travelled around helping the humans. Solarya had eventually forgiven herself for what had happened in Greece. But there was still one day a year where she allowed the gates of memories to open and feel the pain of what had happened.

The group was currently in Norway, and Solarya quite enjoyed the cold it had provided.

She sat huddled with Makkari as they watched Sprite tell stories about the great Norse Gods. Solarya smiled as the people sat in awe of the figures dancing above their heads.

Druig stood a bit away looking at her and Makkari smirked, "He's staring again," she signed.

"Shush," Solarya blushed.

"He loves you," Makkari smiled.

Solarya shrugged, "I love him too."

Makkari had been the one to get them to stop arguing. She was best friends with both and she wanted them to get along.

Solarya remembered the day clearly, just as if it were the day before.

300 BC
EGYPT

Solarya was perched in a corner of the Domo reading a book. Paper had been invented almost 900 years ago and humans were using it excellently in Solarya's opinion. This way she wouldn't have to remember everything in stories she was told and could always refer to them.

Suddenly a hand reached out and snatched the book out of hers. She sat up straight and glared at the person, "Give it back."

"Is this one of Sprite's stories written on paper?" Druig teased.

"Yes it is now, give it back," she tried snatching it from him. He held it above his head and she rolled her eyes. She tried to reach for it and Druig chuckled. He was a few inches taller than her and he enjoyed seeing the frustrated look on his face.

"Come on, it's right there," he stated casually.

Makkari walked into the room seeing the two standing chest to chest with a glare set deeply into Solarya's face. She hated seeing her two best friends fight, but it seemed the two could never get along.

"Give it back," Makkari signed giving him a disappointing look. He sighed and gave it to Solarya. She smirked in satisfaction before Makkari whirled to look at her, "Can you two at least try to be friends?"

"Have you met him, Kari? He's impossible," Solarya said and signed. Druig scoffed offended.

"I am wonderful," he spoke with a smirk etched onto her face.

"Yeah wonderfully annoying," Solarya snorted causing his smirk to drop. Makkari looked between the two trying to read their lips before asking her head.

She sped towards the door and they looked at her, "Until you two learn to get along, you'll be in here. Good luck," she sped out and locked the door behind her.

"Makkari!" Solarya shouted running towards the door and pounding on it, "Someone, help me! I'm stuck in here."

"Hey I'm stuck in here too," Druig mentioned.

She looked at him, "Who cares?"

Druig rolled his eyes and sat on the ground, "There's no use. Everyone's out and Makkari isn't coming back anytime soon."

Solarya sighed and went back to her book. Druig stared at her intensely to the point where she huffed and put it down, "What?"

"Nothing," he shook his head quickly. Her eyes narrowed at him.

"Stay out of my head," she ordered.

 "I wasn't..." he trailed.

Her head tilted to the side in curiosity and he couldn't help but think how adorable she was before shaking the thought from his mind, "Then what were you doing?"

"Doesn't matter," Druig replied. It just occurred to him that he was looking at every detail of her face. Her eyebrows furrowed and she chewed on the inside of her lip when she was concentrating. The position she was in allowed the light to bounce off of her shiny black hair and ever so often a lone strand would fall in front of her chocolate eyes and she would run her hand through it.

"Whatever," she shook her head and went back to her book. However, her eyes would flicker towards him sometimes. Once he caught her looking she quickly looked back down at the book. Something about his gaze made a blush rise up her neck and to her face. She sighed looking back down at the book.

The fleeting glances between the two continued. Druig had found some fruit and a book and silence passed between the two. Darkness flooded into the room and Solarya looked up as she saw the sun setting. The light in the room was getting scarce so she snapped her fingers and a ball of light hovered over her.

Druig watched intrigued. She looked up at him as she felt the weight of his stare, "Can I help you?"

"I've just never really seen your powers in play before."

"It's not much. I can summon light, create, what I like to call, sun grenades," Solarya shrugged.

Druig nodded, "It's cool. Don't say it's nothing much." The two stared at each other before the door opened and Makkari walked in.

"Did you two talk?" she signed.

Solarya shook her head, "We read quietly."

Makkari rolled her eyes annoyed before speeding out and leaving the door open. Druig chuckled and stood, "I think she's had enough of us." He walked towards her and held out his hand to help her off of the windowsill she sat on. She took it cautiously and stepped down.

Solarya gulped at their close proximity before Druig cleared his throat and stepped back a bit, "I actually enjoyed today."

"It was quiet," he agreed, staring at her with an intensity that made her feel hot.

Solarya inhaled deeply, "Well I'll be in my room."

"Yeah." Druig watched her walk out with distant eyes. He was confused as to what he was feeling. He had never expressed many feelings towards Solarya. So why was he feeling like this?
