Please listen to the music if you can, I feel that it goes kinda well with this chapter.
Kristina's POV
My eyes open slowly as I feel my surroundings come into focus, although all that I can make out is the stench of blood that makes me gag. A roll over onto my side before placing weight on my arm, trying to push myself up, only to have my arm collapse from underneath me, I hear bits of metal fall off and splash into the ocean of blood just off the edge of this mound of...mound of something. I pull myself onto my knees without using my arms, almost slipping on the sticky surface underneath me, before trying to stand on my wobbly legs. "Hello!" I didn't move as I listened for a voice, a reply, anything. "Hello! Is anyone else here?" I still got not response. I sighed, "guess I'm on my own then." I walked off the mound I had landed on and begun shifting through the mass of metallic smelling liquid. "Where even am i?" I asked no one as I turned my head side to side, taking in my surroundings. "And endless room full of blood, that tells me everything." I fake smile before sighing again and walking forward.
Out of nowhere I hear two sets of footsteps, "hello! Who's there?" I ask happily, then realise that it could be anyone, including the homunculi. However, once the two people come closer, I recognise the clink and pat of footsteps on the ground, along with the sword hanging from the belt on the other. "Ed, Ling. Do you guys know where we are?"
"Kristy?" I hear a cautious Ed ask.
"Yes, that's me." I reply, confused could he not see clearly? Was it too dark?
"How can we be sure, how do we know your not Envy?" Ling said, stepping forward as he accused me, but then stepping back as he realised what he said and the possibility.
"E-Envy's in here?" I ask, my breathing becoming slightly laboured, that explains why they aren't trusting of me, but that could mean that one of them are Envy, wait, no, they both would have made sure first.
"Don't try and act innocent! Kristy wasn't in the path of gluttony! It's a trick!" Ling shouted at me. I just stood there frozen.
"How do we know your Kristy?" Ed asked, stepping forward. My voice got caught in my throat, I don't know what to say, and if I say something they may not believe me, then they'll kill me thinking I am Envy, and then they'll-
"It's her." Ed said smiling.
"What?" Ling and I said, Ling yelling, me breathlessly.
"How do you know?" Ling asked, still not trusting.
"Her eyes changed colours." He smirked, I lift my hand up to touch my face just beside my eye, "Envy hasn't been around her enough times to know her eyes do that." I gave a relieved sigh and smiled at them both. "How did we even get here anyway?" Ed asked, they both begun looking around, I guess trying to see a way out, but I couldn't sense one either.
"Last I remember, gluttony swallowed us whole." Ling said. Almost as if trying to remember anything that happened afterwards, hoping it may point to another reason we are in here.
"So you think this void is Gluttony's stomach?" Ed questioned. The annoying part is, is the only thing that makes sense.
"Most likely." Ling answered.
"Uh, guys." I say looking in the opposite direction to the boys behind me. "What's that over there, I can't make it out, but it seems familiar."
"Sorry Kristy, it's too dark to see in here." Ed said, looking in the direction I pointed, obviously with difficulty though.
"Oh, give me a moment." I say, bringing my hands up towards the torch in Lings hands, bending the light so it illuminated around us. "Does that help?" I ask them.
"Yep," they both say, looking around.
"That's the abandoned house we were hiding at." Ling said, looking in the direction I pointed out before.
"Well, that explains why it seemed familiar."
"Check this out." Ling said, bringing out attention to just away from the house, to something that seemed like a car.
"That's the Lieutenants car," Ed whispered.
"And I'm guessing all the fire is from the Colonels attack." Ling added.
"Well then, that proves this is Gluttony's stomach, cause unless I have gone crazy, he swallowed all of that stuff." I say, fiddling with my fingers. What, I'm bored.
"Oh yeah, that proves it." Ed mumbles, "but how could Gluttony's stomach be this big?"
"How could the thing eat humans?" I asked.
"Not quite on the same level Kristy." Ed sweat dropped. He straightened back up and almost ran forward, grasping something in his hand, bringing it into the light to get a better look. "Guys! Look at this!" I seemed like a ... Hand
"Al's hand?" Ling questioned, stepping forward.
"But why just his hand?" Ed asked no one, looking down at the metal thoughtfully.
"Maybe it means he didn't get swallowed, only his hand was caught in the attack." I smiled, that means he's safe, and we can work out how to get to him.
"Then he's safe." Ed smiled down at his hands, "he's got to be freaking out, wondering where we are now. I wish there was a way to contact him." Suddenly Ed's body jolted up slightly, as if he thought of an idea. Suddenly he started waving Al's hand around in the air, "ELRIC BROTHER TELEPATHY!!!" He screamed, I sweat dropped.
"Good luck with that." Ling muttered walking off.
"I worry about you Ed." I said, following Ling and waiting for Ed to follow.
~time skip~
After a while, Ed came back to his senses and realised he was never going to telepathically talk to Al, the next thing was he decided to ask if I could just teleport us out, three things wrong with that. I have no clue where we are, I need to know in order to teleport. I'm kinda weak at the moment, trying to do that would probably kill me. Oh, and we can forget the teeny weeny itsy bitsy detail that one of my arms are dysfunctional, and Ed can't fix it cause I lost some metal, ya know, nothing major, note the sarcasm. Well now, we have opted for walking around, trying to find an end to this seemingly endless ... Cave? I don't even know anymore, although so far, guess what? Surprise, surprise, no luck. Okay, sorry for so much sarcasm, I am tired of walking and the stench of blood is making me gag, it's ruining my mood, which therefore makes me a bitch.
"This place is like a waste land of buildings and human remains. Here all from different time periods." Ed stated, well, aside from the other billion other times he has pointed out what era and country he thinks each ancient building is from. Well, at least I know what's around me in detail.
"I'm starting to wonder if there is a way out." Ling said, slowing down slightly.
Ed stopped, clenching his fists. "If not then I'll make us one!" Ed said confidentially, I couldn't help but frown.
"Ed, please, be realistic." I tried to say, but he ignored me.
"You will huh? How and where?" Ling retaliated. Ed clapped before placing his hands on the ground, using the material in the blood to create a giant well.
"I get it now." Ling said.
"Go ahead and drop it," Ed said to Ling before turning to me. "Can you listen out for it hitting the bottom?" I gave a small nod in response as Ling dropped it.
We waited, and waited, and waited. "Ed, it should have hit the bottom by now."
Suddenly the two boys begun running around like maniacs. "If we keep running we're bound to hit a wall!" The two still kept on running, but they soon became tired, stopping.
"Oh who are we kidding...there isn't a way out." Ling sighed.
OM flipping G I have 7.97 k views on this, how did that happen? Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!
So then, I know this took so long, and is only half the episode, I'm sorry about that, but I'm kinda having a hard time writing at the moment, writers block is a bitch. So I will continue writing this as soon as I can.
~Suni out~😋🌞
