~Edwards POV~

I looked down at Kristy and I noticed she had fallen asleep, I sat there for a while not quite sure what to do. I decided to just carry her to bed, so I picked her up and carried her through the crowd that now consisted of a drunk Roy, and Jean (Havoc) . Riza and Maria (Ross) talking, and Al talking with Denny (Brosh). They all turned when they heard me come in.

"Whatcha doin' with your girlfriend their fullmetal?" Roy asked, I wanted to rip his head off for saying that but one: he was intoxicated and two: I didn't want to wake Kristy.

"Shut up Roy, can't you see she's asleep? If you wake her up were all dead." I whispered.All of them but Roy and Jean understood what I meant. "Well I'm taking her to bed." I walked out the door not listening to all of Roy's remarks.

"Sorry I made you have to put up with that." I was shocked for a moment, then looked down to see Kristy half awake.

"It's fine, just go back to sleep." I smiled at her.

"Thanks Edward, goodnight." She smiled at me, and just like that she was asleep again. Damn all that emotional stuff must have made her really tired, I have never seen her fall asleep so quickly.

~Kristina's POV (next morning)~

"Wake up Kristy." I heard someone say, but it wasn't in the rude way that I usually got woken up by Ed, so I assumed it was Al.

"Leave me alone Al." I said as I turned away from him.

"How can I be mistaken for Al?" He asked.

"Edward?" I said and turned to face him.

"Yeah." He stated as if it were the most obvious thing.

"Sorry, but usually I get a nice awakening from Al not you." I tried not to laugh. "Why did you come in here though?"

"Well, with how crazy and emotional last night got, I forgot to give you your Christmas present, which now since I know your birthday was a few days ago is also your birthday present. So happy 13th birthday first year being a teen and Merry Christmas." I could hear both his nerves and smile in his voice. I was trying not to but in the end laughed. "Hey what's so funny?"

"You bought me a Christmas which is also a birthday present and I didn't buy you anything because I didn't think you would care about that kind of stuff." I started laughing again.

"Oh? Well anyway here it is, I guess I'll tell you what it looks like?" He asked not quite sure if I could distinguish colours I guess.

"If what your implying is your not sure if I can distinguish colours, no I can't, and I can't really tell the detail of this neckless either." I said as he passed the neckless into my hands.

"Well, it's a silver raindrop shape, it has a yellow sapphire in the middle and what kinda looks like suns rays coming off the stone."

"Is it supposed to have any relation to my state alchemist name?"

"To be honest I only realised that after I got it I just thought it would look nice on you a-and I thought you might like it."

I could tell that he was blushing by the tone of his voice. "I just wish I could see it." I whispered under my breath, but he managed to hear.

"That's another thing that I wanted to talk to you about, as you know were looking for the philosopher stone to get back what we lost, and since your traveling with us I promise that we will get you your sight back as well, no matter what you will be able to see again." I couldn't believe the determination in his voice, it sounded like he would do anything, just like he would do anything to get his brothers body back. I could feel a tear run down my face. "W-what, hey I-I didn't mean to make you cry, I-I'm sorry did I say something wrong?" He asked completely unsure.

"No silly, it's just the fact that I never though I would have someone care about me again."

"What? Why not?"

"Because most of my family's gone." I said, then whispered under my breath. "And who would want to have anything to do with me?"

"Why wouldn't we want to have anything to do with you?"

"What is with you people and being able to hear me when I whisper?" I said and threw myself back down onto the bed.

"Don't change the subject like that, how stupid do you think I am?" He said, although I don't think he quite realised what he said.

"Do I have to answer that?" I said smiling.

"Shut up, but seriously why wouldn't we want to have anything to do with you?"

I was quiet for a while, but I though that he deserved to know. "I haven't been truly honest with you about my past." I said slowly.

"I'm gonna guess this means it's story time?"

"Yeah, I guess. Well first off when my siblings were killed, I could have saved them but I was too scared so I killed them both twice not just the second time, I let them die and then tried to bring them back. Only to see them as monsters, well not really see them, but I think that's a good thing, but then I killed them."

"How does that make you a bad person? You didn't save them but you didn't kill them either and the second time you were only trying to defend yourself from the monsters you'd created." I could feel his smile, on me, but not sympathetic.

"I know, but I could have saved them, and I guess I'm just scared that I won't be able to protect you guys either, I mean your practically my brothers now."

"Precisely, we are like your brothers now so you shouldn't feel like you have to protect us, if anything we should have to protect you because were older."

"But I have to protect those I can, I made a promise to myself that day, that I would protect those who I can whether I know them or not. But now I'm afraid I can't."

"We will help you, please, you have to let us . . . How the hell did this come from be giving you a neckless."

"I have no idea." I giggled. "But thank you very much for that."

"No problem, but please learn from you past, but don't let it burden you."

"Look who's talking."

"I'm not letting it burden me, I'm just trying to fix what went wrong, and now your joining us so I'm going to help do that same for you." I could feel the smile in his voice.

"Learn from the past but don't let it burden you hey? Well I'll try, now get out of my room so I can get dressed." I said smiling. And he walked out the door and I walked into the bathroom.

"Don't dwell on the past, well then I guess it's time for a chance in hair style." I said as I pulled my hair out of its usual piggy tails, I didn't want to cut it because I liked it long so instead I brushed it out and put it in a braid going down the right half on me, it came just passed my hip. I then grabbed the scissors and trimmed my fringe so that my bangs only came to my chin, I then cut it again so that they came to my nose, but I left the sides longer. I swept it out of my face by pushing it up on the right side of my face and pinning in there. I was about to walk out when I remembered the black streaks, I had left them in because at the time of my parents death my sister had put black paint in my hair and it hadn't come out, so I always put black streaks in my hair, but I decided it was time for them to go as well. I filled the sink with water and used an alchemic reaction to get rid of the black. I walked out and got dressed, I even put on the neckless Ed gave me. Now to find Ed.

"Hey miss, you can't be walking around here if your not in the military." I heard someone say behind me, I turned around to face them and they gasped. "Kristy?" They asked.

"Hey Ed." I smiled.

"W-what did you do to your hair?"

"I cut my fringe, and dyed it back to its original colour, oh and changed the hair style." I smiled.

"You look almost completely different, I think if it wasn't for your eyes and hair I would think you were someone else."

"Aww, you like my eyes and hair do you?"

"N-no it's not like that, I-it's just that not many people have silver eyes, especially with the hair, and then the length." He scratched the back of his head nervously, "it's bad enough people think were dating." He whispered.

"Did you just say people think were dating." I said with my tone slightly raised.

"Huh, yeah they think that because I'm not usually happy with people traveling with me and Al but I'm fine with you."

I was about to ask him why when Armstrong came. "Edward, you are required to meet Mustang in his office, and he would like you to tell Kristy to come in after as well."

"Hello, I'm right here." I said.

"Kristy?" He questioned.

"Yes, and come on I can't look that different?"

"You'd be surprised Kristy, especially considering you don't seem like the one for change." Edward said smirking.

"Well be glad I didn't cut all of my hair off, then I really would look unrecognisable. Anyway, you better head to flame bastards office or he won't be happy." I said smiling at Ed, and I heard him groan.

"You two are so much alike, you would make such a cute couple." Armstrong said.

I ran over to him and flipped him over, "we are never, and I repeat NEVER going to be a couple, no offence Ed."

"None taken." He said, the fear obvious in his voice.

I started to walk away from Armstrong and towards Ed. "Come on, I have to get to flame bastards office as well." We both walked to mustangs office quietly, it made me wish that I knew what he was thinking.

We got there and I knocked on the door. "Come in." Mustangs voice said, clear with a sense of authority. "Ah, fullmetal, and who do you have with you . . . Wait sun?"

"The one and only." I smiled to him.

"Anyway I am sorry sun but I first off have to talk with fullmetal, privately."

"Sure whatever, good luck Ed." I said as I walked out the door. I wonder what they need to talk about?

~Edwards POV~

"Good luck Ed." Kristy said as she walked out the door.

I turned to Mustang, "well what is it?"

"I need to talk to you about the homunculi." He whispered.

"What about them?"

"Well I am sending you to Briggs because there is believed that envy was seen there, and Kristy is going along, well because it seems like she has become your partner, and I am sure she doesn't want to be left behind." He smiled at me, and I knew what he was implying.

"Where is everyone getting these ideas from? What am I treating her differently to everyone else or something?"

"As a matter of fact, your treating her like Al."

"Well I see her as a younger sister, so of course I'll treat her like Al."

"Anyway, after you've dealt with that at Briggs or at least figured out if it was all a lie, then you will have to head to Xing, because the fuhrer wants to know if we can get some help from them for fighting the homunculus, he believes that they might be able to help."

"So am I supposed to tell this to Kristy or-"

"No, if you tell her you put her into more risk than she already is."

"Okay, but she will figure it out."

"And what gives you that idea?" He smirked at me.

"The day we met her, it took her about five minutes to figure out that I had automail, Al was hollow armour, and what we did. That enough proof." I said trying not to laugh as I saw his jaw hanging open.

"Well try and keep it from her as long as you can the less she knows the less trouble she'll be in."

"Righteo, do you want me to send her in?"

"Yes thanks fullmetal."

I walked out the door and found Kristy leaning in the wall beside the door, "Colonel Bastard wants to talk to you now, and I'd be carefull he almost seems mad." I smiled at her.

"Thanks for the heads up pipsqueak." He smirked at me.

"Hey I'm still taller than you." I said as she walked over to me.

"Think again pipsqueak." She smirked at me and I realised we were looking eye to eye.

"How the hell do you grow so fast?" She just shrugged her shoulders and walked into Mustangs office.

~Kristina's POV~

I walked through the door and came to the end of mustangs desk, "you wanted to talk to me sir?"

"Yes, I would like to ask you a few questions. Sit." I sat down and waited for him to ask me some stupid questions about progress.

"How can you use flame alchemy?" He asked sturnly.

"What?" I asked completely shocked I wasn't sure why he would ask me that.

"I know you heard me, so?"

"My dad, he learnt it from a man . . . A Mr hawk something, and then he taught me."

"I see." He stayed silent for a while before asking me another unexpected question. "Where are your transmutation circles?"

"I don't need them sir." I said as I put my head down, "I thought you heard mine and Ed's conversation last night?"

"I did hear most of it, about your siblings dying on Christmas. What does this have anything to do with this?"

I sighed, "I tried to bring them back, my payment for my knowledge was my arms and my sight."

"I see, so you are the same as fullmetal, almost."

"I guess."

"Well, that was all I needed to know, and please tell fullmetal that you are required to call his mechanic to get your automail fit for heading to Briggs and you will be heading out as soon as she's done."

"Yes sir." I said and saluted him.

I walked out the door, "hey Ed . . ."

Me: what are you talking about?

Kristy: your making me consistently break down in front of Ed all the time and . . . *whispers so only I can hear* making me like him.

Ed: hey Kristy are you okay, *puts hand to forhead*

Kristy: *shoves hand away* I am absolutely fine. *glares at me.*

Me: anyway, who's saying the deceleration thingy mabobby.

Al: I will, Suni does not own any of the fma or FMAB characters nor the show or manga they belong to Hiromu Arakawa she only owns Kristy her OC and any of her family mentioned or any characters mentioned that are not in the show, she also apologises if you do not like the fact that the story line is not accurate but she does not have the anime nor manga in front of her. And I heard her say before that if you think it doesn't work just think of it as Kristy has come along and messed up the story line.

Kristy: HEY!

Me: what he said it to them not me!

Kristy: but you said it in the first place.

Me: so? I wasn't going to tell anyone, and don't even think about hurting Al he didn't mean for it to have any harm. *turns to Al* by the way good memory.

Al: thankyou
