Eating time 

what does that mean? 

How can time be         eaten? 

How can one be sustained whether mortal or immortal 

by time? 

Surely time expands, goes ever irreversibly         forward 

as the universe... no... 

        ...correction         the universes - 

flare ever-outwards 

a shotgun propelling of pellets that describe an unending trajectory 

an infinite, frictionless, fractionless divergence into 

                                                                                    space.

How could it         be         consumed?  

Impossible!        

once time has moved         onwards  

it no longer exists 

it ceases        to         be 

to have meaning         in terms of

atoms and particles?

Except in the mind, of course, of course, stupid, stupid -

yes, the mind 

and that is personally prejudice-predicated 

speeding and slowing 

doubling back, over-laying, prognosticating, tangling and untangling

according to the individual's experience 

and predetermination, surely?
