Rosalyn's POV

I sat in silence, thinking about my Birthday, which was tomorrow. If only my parents could see me now. As the Head master said I'm one of the best trainees in the Guild, but I won't be a full Summoner until I was 18 like everyone else. I sketched a small Dragon, with a fox beside it, this time adding color, unlike the one I did in Art Class. I sighed looking at the ceiling, then at my Sketchbook again. I stood, opening the drawer on my bedside table, placing the sketchbook inside. I left the room in silence, going to the library.

I walked over to the list of Familiars you could get, my eyes scanning over it. I silently noted that I couldn't choose but I did want a dragon or a fox. I looked over at the book I pulled that talked about the Worthy. It read, "The worthy are the ones who the mythical creatures deem able to be talked with or have a familiar with. Being a Worthy is hard to achieve, but it comes with honor." I nodded in silence, placing the book where it was supposed to go. I left the library, heading back to my dorm in silence.

"Happy early birthday!" Serena said with a smirk. "Thanks now if only my parents could be here for it." I said with a sigh. "Don't be so down, you're getting a familiar tomorrow, and you have a chance to be a worthy!" Serena said, smacking my arm lightly. "Chill Rena! I'm happy about that but I just wish they could see it." I said, laughing. I silently reached for a spare pillow and smacked her on the head with it. "You wanna go there?" She said grabbing her own spare pillow. "You know it." I said with a laugh. Thus, the pillow fight commenced.

After an hour of merciless pillow smacking, we finally stopped. "I'm tired.." I complained as I flopped on my bed, face first. Serena laughed, "Get some sleep you'll need it for you're birthday, I doubt you want your familiar to see you sleeping when it first meets you!" She laughed. "Alright, but you'll need sleep too. Your fifteenth birthday is in a few weeks you know." I reminded her. "I know, well G'night Rose." She said, closing her eyes. "Night Rena." I muttered as I drifted off to sleep.
