4: the Hangout (1)

Inspite of my fears of being lonely when Jason could have left me behind, nothing of that sort happened again as he introduced me to the newcomer, Marcus.

He told me that both of them were childhood friends and that they used to go to the same school therefore they were quite close. Even though Jason used to live in South Korea, as a professional swimmer, he occasionally met Marcus and thereby both of them soon became close friends. Moreover, Marcus too used to live in South Korea because of his dad's job but soon, Marcus went away to live with his mom in America and so, they had to cut off contacts.

But then recently, Marcus again contacted Jason, claiming that he too had come to California due to his dad's job and to top that off, he would be coming to our school and so, Jason used to leave whenever he got a phone call.

After hearing the entire story, I felt that my emotions were too petty. Jason was just reconnecting with his close friend but here I was feeling wierd and harbouring negative emotions towards them, I didn't exactly know what I was feeling as I had never felt this way before, but one thing was for sure, I was kinda sad and lonely.

With both of us being introduced, even though there was a hint of awkwardness between us, that is, Marcus and me, we tried to get along for Jason's sake. Soon after, the three of us started to hang out together but once in a while, Marcus would ask me to back off claiming that, he and Jason needed to catch up with their years of no-contact and hearing that, I too, just agreed without enquiring deeper. It felt as if both of them were hiding something but with me, missing my timing to ask them, I just gave up.

Then finally came the most awaited weekend, as Chris had asked me, I, without finding any alternative, decided to ask Jason to come. When the classes finally ended, I, without much thought, just asked him. At first, I thought he would refuse. As who would even meet up with a stranger just because your friend said to, but to my surprise he agreed, his reason being that, since I too had accepted Marcus as a so-called friend, he too needed to do the same thing for me.

After hearing that, I started to refute him saying that there was no forcing at all and that he didn't need to worry about it but then, he just smiled at me and said that he wanted to meet this friend of mine. With rephrasing it that way, I couldn't basically reject him and so, I just agreed. With things going as planned, I was about to inform Chris about the meet-up, but as if from thin-air, appeared, Marcus.

He now said that he too wanted to join, I was about to refuse him as he was not basically my friend but then Jason agreed. Seriously.

Without any other solution at hand, I just told Chris everything and he too, as expected, didn't mind.

All these extrovert brats. *eyes roll*

As the hectic school week came to an end, it was finally time for preparations for the upcoming weekend hang-out. We all decided to meet with each other before heading to Chris' house. But before that, we discussed about the food and other things to be taken. And so, as things were going, I volunteered to carry the drinks, while Jason agreed to buy fried chicken for everyone, and to this, Marcus told that he would accompany Jason. Seriously, he was once again acting irritatingly. Sigh. As things were being decided, everyone was excited.

And so, the next morning, all of us met up in the park near my neighborhood as Chris' house was in the same vicinity as mine. As I waited for the others to come, I felt a new rush of emotions as this was the first time I had engaged in anything which involved gathering up of many people and, to top that off, today the people I was meeting with were none other than my friends. As these positive emotions started to engulf me from within, about after half an hour so, both of them arrived.

They gave a reasoning that there was traffic along their way so they got late. Both of them apologized to me, of course, Marcus in a nonchalant manner. But then I just dismissed them and said that it was fine. And thereafter, we headed towards Chris' house.

As decided, each of us carried the items that we had earlier decided to bring, that is, drinks chosen by me and the fried chicken bought by Jason (P.S Marcus acting as a lackey in this case... Smirk). We had to walk for about 15 to 20 minutes to reach Chris' house.

As usual, his house was indeed elegant plus cozy. When we rang the doorbell, the family butler, Mr. John Trevensky came out to greet and invite us inside. I just waved to him since we were acquainted. After that, all if us were escorted to the main hall where Chris was waiting for us as mentioned by John.

When we entered the house, as usual, it was too spacious but beautifully organised with decorative items on the walls, shelves and so on. One word which could be used to describe his house was, of course, aesthetic.

Chris was waiting for us in the guest room where we had decided to carry out the party or hang out or whatever. His butler told us that he had made preparations for a lunch and that if situations permit, Chris had also made adjustments for a sleep over. Usually, I remained nonchalant about this kinds of things but today was kinda different, I was quite excited with Jason also being present in the same space as mine.

Mini Theater

Since I am supposed to buy the drinks, I already asked Jason his favourite drink...

"Um, excuse me, I'd like to order a lemon soda and an orange juice, please."

"Sir, would you be drinking it here or you want it to be in a good-to-go manner?"

"I won't be drinking it here."

"Okay sir, thank you for your patronage."

Finally, got the drinks... Oh, but gotta buy for Chris and that extra person as well.

"I have never seen Young master being so diligent in choosing something like drinks." Thought Finn's driver.

End of mini theatre
