Elisha's POV

Maayos ang gising ko ngayong araw, hindi ko alam kung bakit. Maybe because I finally confessed my feelings  to someone again.

It's like bumalik ang pagiging pagka-teenager ko in a way na I'm actually having a little bit of thrill in my life.

Kanina napapaisip din ako kung ano na mangyayari sa'ming anim pagkatapos basahin ng huling sulat?

Will we separate again and go back to how we used to be? Would me and Bruce's relationship actually work? So many what ifs running in my mind and I don't know how to stop overthinking everything.

Ang hilig kasi ng utak ko pangunahan ang lahat at bigyan ng conclusion ang mga bagay sa paligid. Baka praning lang ako at kailangang aware ako sa aking paligid, ewan ko ba.

Walang masyadong ganap sa aming klase ngayon, pero malapit na ang finals namin at excited ako. Kasi matatapos na ang academic year and we're going to move forward in second year college.

Nakatambay ako sa library and in a few hours uwian naman na din kaya excited ako. Kasi may susundo sa akin na gwapo hehe.

Papunta na sana ako sa last subject ko for today nang may tumawag naman sa akin, pagkatingin ko sa caller ID it was him. The guy I like!

Usually when you confess to your crush and they like you back biglang magffade ang feelings mo dahil wala na yung thrill. In my case, the thrill was just getting started.

Hindi nga namin nilinaw kung ano ba talaga kami eh, we like each other but we're not yet official.

I'm going to be so sad if this doesn't work out the way I planned it to. Kasi gusto ko talaga siya eh.

[How about we go out on a Starbucks date and study together before we meet up with our friends?] he asked and I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling. Kahit simpleng date lang na ganito kikiligin na ako eh.

"That would be great," I answered him and we were silent. I was about to end the call when he spoke again.

[2:30, right?]

"Mhm." nag ring na ang bell at tumakbo naman na ako habang ang telepono ko ay naka dikit pa rin sa aking tenga.

[Isha, mahal kita. Study well.] binaba naman niya ang tawag pero para akong baliw na kilig na kilig. Teka, wala naman kami ah? But he said na mahal niya ako.

Tama ba 'yon? Ewan ko na, basta masaya kami sa isa't isa.

Nakinig naman ako ng maayos sa Prof. namin dahil malapit na nga ang exams namin, I have to still be in the dean's list para naman hindi magalit sa'kin si Mom 'no!

Dismissal na namin at atat akong lumabas ng room ng nakangiti. I'm excited to see him kahit nagkita kami kagabi. Naghintay ako sa waiting shed habang binabasa ang aking libro.

"Oh Elisha, hindi mo dala kotse mo ngayon?" tanong sa akin ng aking blockmate at umiling ako sa kanya bago ngumiti. Tinabihan niya naman ako at inabutan ng pagkain.

"Thanks."

"May susundo ba sa'yo?" tanong niya at agad naman akong umiwas ng tingin. Kapag kasi sinabi ko na mayroong susundo sa akin gagawa sila ng issue na may boyfriend ako. Hindi ko kailangang mamroblema ngayon tungkol sa gano'n.

After five minutes ang mga estudyante ay nagbulungan, kasabay no'n ay ang pagdating ng isang motor sa harap ko.

Pinark niya ang motor bago ako harapin, inabot niya sa'kin ang helmet na isa.

Binitbit ko agad ang bag ko at lumapit sa motor. It's my first time after almost a year of not riding one. Pero alam ko namang safe ako dahil siya naman ang magmamaneho.

Maraming mata ang nakatingin sa amin, sumakay na lang ako sa motor niya.

"Akala ko ba sasakyan dala mo?" he placed my arms around his waist para hindi ako mahulog.

"Traffic kasi, ayaw kong malate tayo doon." tumango na lang ako bago niya paandarin ang kanyang motor.

After 15 minutes, we arrived at a new Starbucks branch near his school. Inalalayan niya ako pababa ng kanyang motor at inayos ang pagkapark nito.

I waited for him of course. He then held my hand and we went inside. Pumila na siya para mag order para sa amin while I looked for a spot for us.
Nang nakaupo ako, inilabas ko na ang laptop ko at isang libro pati notebook.

Sabi niya naman we're going to study together so it's better if I start doing that na 'di ba?

After a few minutes dumating na siya with two drinks and two blueberry cheesecake slices. My favorite!

He smiled when I took a picture of the table, it looks so cute kasi. Nagulat naman si Bruce na tinapat ko sa kanya ang aking phone. He made a peace sign and looked at me curiously.

"Are you going to post that?" he asked and I nodded before looking at him.

"Can I post it on my feed?" I asked and he smiled before taking a sip from his coffee. I guess that's a yes. Nag selfie naman kami before I posted four photos on my feed.

'u ft. study date.'

I also tagged Bruce, wala na akong pake. I want the world to know that he's off limits and he's mine.

"Selosa ka ba?" tanong niya bigla sa akin kaya napatigil ako sa aking pagsusulat bago taasan siya ng kilay.

"Why? Are you going to show me a photo or video with another girl to see if I'm the jealous type?" mataray kong tanong and he chuckled before patting my head.

"You are the jealous type," he said before reading from his book.

Agad naman akong napaisip, paano kung hindi niya talaga ako gusto and he just said that to play with my feelings? Or maybe after kong sabihin sa kanya kagabi na gusto ko siya tapos may hinalikang iba pala pag uwi?

"I can almost hear you think, baby." he said while still reading his book. Agsd naman akong kinabahan dahil bumilis ang tibok ng aking puso. Did he just call me... baby?

I tried calming myself down, "Did you just call me baby?" I asked just to make sure. Baka kasi kung ano ano na ang naiimagine ko at naririnig ko siyang tawagin ako no'n.

He glanced at me for a second before he turned his attention back to the book, "You heard me, Elisha." he said in a flat tone. Gago! TINAWAG NIYA NGA AKONG BABY.

Doon kasi sa ex ko we never had sweet endearments. First time ko 'to huhu.

"Hey, don't overthink, okay? I just asked kung selosa ka. I'm all yours, don't worry." he said softly at nginitian ko naman siya before continuing my study.

I actually enjoyed his presence kahit tahimik kaming nagaaral. Parang may nagbabantay sa akin na mag aral ako and it helps me to focus more.

After almost two hours we decided to leave and went to Jayce's grave. Pagdating namin doon ay kami na lang pala ang hinihintay.

"Ang gara naman, nag date kayo?" tanong ni Maddie and we were about to deny it nang ipakita sa aming ang pinost ko.

"You guys don't have to lie about it, it's cool. We all deserve to have love lifes." sabi ni Christopher sa amin bago umupo sa damo katabi ang lapida ni Jayce.

"Before we even start reading the letter, tell us. What's the deal with you two?" Gwen smirked as she walked closer towards us.

"Yeah, are you two dating? Hmmm?" Damon squinted his eyes at nagtinginan naman kami ni Bruce. Hindi ko naman talaga kasi alam kung ano kami. Are we even considered as boyfriend and girlfriend?

"We're dating but not official." sagot ni Bruce sa kanila at agad naman silang nagpalakpakan and I just laughed awkwardly before we looked for the letter. It was actually easy to find kasi unang tingin ko pa lang ay agad ko itong nahanap. Nagtaka pa rin ako, this wasn't here yesterday.

"Wala 'to kagabi ah?" I whispered to Bruce at nagtaka din siya.

"Maybe before he died he asked someone to monitor us and deliver the letters every day?" he said. Hindi ko naman na siya pinansin para mabasa na ang huling sulat.

Flashback

Jayce's POV

After everything had happened, syempre it took Elisha to recover from her sisters death. Ako nga lang nakakaalam ng totoong nangyari pati pamilya niya eh.

Our friends know that Ellie is now in the states studying there. I know that I hate lying to people pero kung para kay Elisha naman 'yon ay walang problema.

I can keep doing crimes for her, even the illegal things if it's for her happiness.

I don't want her to keep on blaming herself when it was an accident. Hindi pwedeng araw araw siyang mag mukmok dahil doon sa insidenteng nangyari.

We all have to move on eventually.

We are currently at the school, it was way past our dismissal time. Nasa labas kami ng principals office at nagtataka nga kami kung bakit kami pinatawag dito.

As far as I know wala pa naman kaming ginawang katarantaduhan ngayong linggo.

"Paano kung nahuli na pala tayo sa mga kagaguhang ginawa natin noon?" pagsira ni Damon sa katahimikan. Nagkibit balikat naman ako bago ituon ang atensyon sa aking cellphone.

Basta wala kaming ginawa so hindi ako dapat kabahan.

"Makukulong na ba tayo nito? 'Wag muna, Lord!" sambit ni Maddie at tinawanan namin siya.

I just don't want to get involved in anything. Pagod na kasi ako ayusin at linisin ang mga pangalan ng kaibigan ko.

But I can't just let them down at ilaglag sila. Hindi 'yon pwede mangyari. I truly care about them and I can't let their lives go downhill.

We already created a lot of mess together, we gone through messed up shit together, we got high and drunk together. We basically with us at our most thrillest times of our lives and we actually enjoyed it.

Lumabas si Detective Smith at pinanlisikan kami ng mata. Agad naman tumaas kilay ko, what the heck is his problem again?

"You seven, pumasok kayo sa loob." seryosong saad niya sa amin kaya sumunod na lang kami.

Walang ganang sumalampak kami sa upuan at tiningnan si Detective Smith ng aming nakakapatay na tingin.

"You all may or may not know what you guys are doing here---"

"Of course we don't, we've been studying our ass ever since our stupid teacher gave us a lot more workload." pagputol agad ni Gwen sa sasabihin ng principal bago umirap.

"I don't like that tone of yours, Ms. Hansley." the principal said in a monotone.

"Can we just get this over with? May kailangan din kaming gawin na gawaing bahay pag uwi." sabi ni Elisha and the detective scoffed.

"Kayo? Have chores at home? I'm sure you guys will be just hanging out on a bar getting high and drunk all night."

We all looked at him, why the fuck does he have to meddle in our lives all the time?

"Alam mo, Smith," diin ni Bruce sa pangalan nito. "We don't need your bullshit right now. Cut to the fucking chase!" sigaw nito sa kanya and the principal was about to lecture us when Christopher spoke.

"At ang pagkakaalam ko ay ang dapat mo lang pakielamanan ay ang school problems, why bother with our personal lives? We know a good lawyer and we can get you convicted because you're invading our privacy." banta ni Christopher sa kanya kaya medyo natakot ito.

Simpleng gano'n lang pala titiklop to eh. Duwag naman pala ang gago, nagmamatigas lang to impress and get the trust of our principal.

"I'll let your cussing slide today, what we want to ask you is, do you guys know why there are busted computers in the computer laboratory and broken glass in our chemistry lab?" tanong nito sa amin and we all looked at them in disbelief.

"There you guys go again, you are allegedly accusing us of damaging school property without evidence!" napatayo si Elisha and crossed her arms.

Bakit kasi kailangan kami lagi ang una nilang titingnan, wala ba kaming nagagawang matini sa school?

Kilala ang eskwela na ito dahil sa'min! Bukod sa famous kami sa social media, we won championship cups for this school! Tapos ganito pa rin ang trato nila sa amin?

"Bakit kasi kailangan kami lagi ang sisisihin niyo agad?" tanong ko sa kanila so their attentions turned to me. "I mean, sobrang daming mga gagong estudyante kagaya namin na gumagawa din ng mga bagay na ginagawa namin pero hindi MO nahuhuli." turo ko kay Detective Smith.

"I could give you a list of students that are as bad as us. You're so bad at doing your job, Smith." I said in a monotone. Tumayo naman na din ako at nagsabay sabay sila doon.

We fucking hate this Detective. I wish he was just dead!

"We already told you a crap ton of times, if ever we do something and you guys have evidence we are willing to do the consequences. Pero kung ganito lagi ang trato niyo sa amin because of our reputation... sisiraan namin ang school na 'to." Maddie said and we all nodded and the principal stood up.

"You wouldn't."

We all smirked, "Don't try us."

After that we left the room and decided to part separate ways for the mean time.

It was already past 7 pm when I received a text from our group chat.

From: wasted senior high schoolers

Christopher: my condo rn, bring swimming clothes

Bruce: lol, for what?

Damon: common sense dre, malamang lalangoy tayo sa swimming pool sa condo niya.

Maddie: bakit ang late naman, hindi ba pwede bukas?

Christopher: nah, it's important, i have something to discuss with all of you.

Nagtaka naman ako, what could something be so important at this hour? Baka pag punta namin doon ay may mapatay kaming tao.

Hindi ko naman nakita ang mga reply nila dahil nag message din si Isha.

Agad naman akong natawa because I can imagine her pouting while typing that. I of course agreed to pick her up and we went together to Christoph's condo.

We dropped our things in his unit bago kami pumunta sa floor ng pool.

They were already there chilling by the pool at agad ko naman hinubad ang shirt ko pero hindi muna nilunog ang sarili ko sa tubig. I only dipped my feet because I was waiting for Isha.

"Ano ba meron, Christopher?" tanong ko at sinamaan niya ko ng tingin. He doesn't like being called Christopher kasi, 'yon kasi tawag sa kanya ng mga taong galit sa kanya.

"Would you chill? Hintayin muna natin si Elisha." sambit niya sa akin at tumango na lang ako.

After a few minutes ay lumabas na si Elisha ng cr and she was wearing a purple two piece and damn she looks so sexy. If we were in a public place right now, people would be drooling over her.

I looked at Bruce's direction and he had the same reaction. Alam ko naman na kakaiba ang ganda niya kaya normal lang na titigan siya ni Bruce dahil gusto niya nga si Isha.

We all gathered in the pool at nasa tabi ko si Isha. My hand was wrapped around her waist which was a normal thing for us pero kitang kita ko na sobrang bothered si Bruce sa aking kamay. Kanina niya pa kasi hindi inaalis ang tingin doon.

"I know everyone agrees with me that Smith os fucking annoying, right?" Christopher started and we all agreed on him. Simula nung dumating siya sa buhay namin lahat kani nahirapan at nairita.

Back then, without that stupid detective our principal was understanding, and even liked us before. But that stopped when that shitty detective came  in our school because he was assigned to work with the school.

We didn't like him, not even in first glance. We hated his guts and we always wanted to throw him out of the school every time we see him.

"What do you guys say we kill him?" he asked and we all looked at each other before laughing. As if we're going to have the courage to actually kill someone. I mean, we can't risk that.

Hindi lang kasi kami ang maapektohan. Pamilya namin, our school and all that stuff.

We looked again at Christoph only to see him with a confused face kaya umayos na kami.

"Dude... don't tell me you're serious?" Damon said and Christoph sat on the side of the pool.

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

Gago, seryoso nga siya.

Don't tell me we're going to commit a fucking crime and be murderers? May plano pa ako sa buhay ko! Bawal akong makulong.

"Pre, gusto mo bang mapatay tayo ng mga magulang natin?" tanong ni Gwen and he just shrugged.

"Who gives a fuck about their lives nowadays?" sarkastikong sagot niy kay Gwen and we all went silent.

Should we do it? I mean, we know it's bad pero kung ikatatahimik ng buhay namin ito, I'm willing to do it.

"Sige, how are we going to do it?" tanong ni Bruce and we all looked at him. So we're really going to do it?

Christoph smirked, don't tell me he already planned this way back?

"Simple lang naman, tomorrow we have to go to our class like a normal day. Usually, Smith will come by the principal's office during lunch time and talk about students." paninimula niya sa kanyang plano at tumango tango naman kami.

"At exactly 2 pm, Smith goes back to the station together with our principal and who knows what they're doing there."

"They're probably fucking," singit ni Maddie and we laughed.

"While they are there, me and Jayce will get the gun to shoot our detective." he said at syempre magulo pa dahil kulang sa details ang plano niya.

"Paano natin paaalisin yung principal doon sa office ni Smith?" tanong ni Elisha and Christoph snapped his fingers.

"That's where you come in, Elisha. When me and Jayce arrive at the station sa may bintana nito na kita ang office ni Smith, papasok si Gwen sa loob nito hinahanap ang principal kunyari. You are going to call Elisha and she'll act as your mom, being mad about something para mapilitan si principal bumalik ng school."

The plan is slowly making sense now. Sana nga successful.

"How are we sure na hindi tayo mahuhuli ng ibang taong nagtatrabaho sa station?" tanong ni Damon.

"I'm going to buy a silencer for the gun tomorrow para kapag binaril na natin siya, walang makakarinig. But there are still security cameras, well... Damon you are going to learn how to hack CCTV cameras tonight para bukas wala na tayong problema."

We all talked about the flow of the plan more until we came into a conclusion.

"Basta gano'n ang gagawin, Bruce and Maddie you'll be the one to clean up the mess, that includes blood all over when we kill him." Christopher said and we all nodded.

I am thrilled and kind of scared.

Just hoping for the better. Sana hindi kami makulong.

The next day and we all were acting as if we didn't just talked about our master plan yesterday.

It was lunch time and we all were at the cafeteria, naalalam ni Damon na pinatawag kami kahapon because of something that a stupid student has committed here na nasisi kami.

Remember, king of the cafeteria right?

"Everybody listen the fuck up!" he shouted at sobrang lakas no'n kaya lahat ng tingin ay sa kanya napunta. "Whoever trashed the chemistry and computer laboratory, you better not let us know you did it or else we'll kill you." banta niya sa maraming tao.

We all just quickly finished our food para tingnan kung nasa principal's office nga ba si Smith. When we looked at the small window from thw door they were eating together inside. Very weird and very much cringey.

Nag cut na kami ng klase para maghanda. I went with Christopher para kunin ang baril, nagsuot naman kami ng airpods para makapag communicate kami kahit malalayo.

"Ang taray, ano 'to earpiece?" Maddie chuckled and we just disregarded her.

"Gaga, airpods lang 'yan. Wala tayong budget for earpieces. As far as I know, it's for agents lang at ngayon lang naman tayo lalabag ng batas ng diyos eh." sambit ni Isha.

It was already 2:15 pm and me and Christoph were already in position. Nakatungtong kami sa isang ladder para kita ang nangyayari sa loob ng office ni Smith.

"Gago, maghahalikan na ata sila." I whispered and they all gasped.

"Pasok na ba ako?" tanong ni Gwen.

"Count one to fifteen before going in." Aniya ni Christoph. Parang naging intese na tuloy ang atmospera at bigla akong pinagpawisan.

"Damon, hack the security cameras now." I said and he said that he's working on it. Gwen was about to come inside the room when Damon spoke.

"Wait, before anything happens... gusto ko lang sana sabihin sa inyo na if ever mag watak watak tayo dahil sa krimen na gagawin natin ngayon, salamat sa mga masasayang memorya na binuo natin for the past year. Hindi ko kayo malilimutan." Muntikan naman na akong masuka dahil sa sinabi ni Damon. He usually isn't sweet kaya nandiri ako.

"Gwen, do it now." Christoph said at narinig namin ang malakas na kalabog ng pinto kaya napako ang tingin namin sa loob. Gwen was acting like she ran from school to the station because she was panting as if she's out of breath.

"Principal, it's an emergency. My Mom wants to... talk to you." she said to the Principal at takang kinuha niya ang cellphone ni Gwen na naka speaker.

"Hello, is this the principal of my daughter's school?" Isha said in an accent, sigurado akong hindi mapapansin o makikilala ito.

"Yes, what's the matter Mrs. Hansley?"

"I just heard that you always scold my daughter and the other teachers are putting a lot of workload for her and her friends. I request a meeting of that would be okay? I'll bring my attorney as well, just so I can get the school punished." nakita ko ang kaba sa matanng aming principal.

Agad itong tumakbo palabas at naiwan si Gwen at Smith. Ngumti lang si Gwen saglit bago umalis ng kwarto. We slowly opened the window and observed how he was reading something from work.

Kinuha ko ang baril galing kay Christoph at itinutok sa ulo ni Smith. I couldn't fire, maybe because of guilt. Nakokonsensya na ako ngayon, mali kasi 'tong ginagawa namin eh.

But damn it! We're already here so might as well fuck it.

I pulled the trigger and the next thing I saw was blood dripping all over. "Maddie, Bruce. Come inside now."

Pumasok sila galing sa window na may dalang bleach and wipes, para malinisan ito.

Lumabas naman na agad ako kasama si Christoph. We of course cleaned and wiped the gun with bleach before throwing it in the trash can.

We did it. Napatay namin siya. All we have to do is act like nothing happened starting now.

We celebrated and drank before deciding to go home.

The next day, we are talk of the school. Nalaman agad nila na namatay ang detective and they were already pinning it on us.

"Tangina, ilang beses ba namin sasabihin sa inyo na hindi nga namin ginawa?" inis na sabi ni Bruce bago umalis.

"Why would we kill Smith? There's no point in doing that." Maddie rolled her eyes.

Sobrang galing nilang mga aktor ah.

"We don't care, the school has already filed a case it's you seven against versus the school." sabi ng principal sa amin.

Pagkalabas namin doon ay hindi kami nagpansinan ng mga kaibigan ko. It's like everything went badly. I mean, we've succeed in doing that. We didn't get caught, we just need to call our trusted attorney to back us up.

Days went by and no one saw each other during lunch time, after class and  no one even chatted in our group chat. I tried messaging Isha but she blocked me.

Tangina, ano ang nangyari sa amin?

Our friendship ended just because of that? What the fuck?! This is pure bullshit.

Why would they even do that? After what we did together they just would simply end the friendship?

Ano, naguilty ba sila sa ginawa nila kaya sila hindi nagpansinan?

I don't really know what happened!

Weeks went by and we all finally graduated senior highschool, pero wala pa ding nagpansinan na ni isa sa amin. They all got new friends actually, parang wala kaming pinagsamahan gano'n.

I arrived at home feeling so down and decided to write some letters. Specifically for them, I don't know if I'll send these to each of them but at least I wrote them.

Napalingon naman ako sa taas, what if... I become one with the stars? Would people even remember or care about me?

Elisha's POV

Habang inaalala ang mga 'yon, I couldn't think properly. We did kill someone, and our separation was the cause of his motive to kill himself!

"Why did we ended the friendship?" tanong ni Maddie and I sighed.

"I didn't talk to any of you because I was scared that we might actually get convicted." sagot ni Gwen and I agreed with her.

"I already put my parents into enough pain killing my sister, if they knew that I also helped killing that detective I'll be disowned." I told them and they nodded.

"So it was our fault." Damon said trying to process everything. Bigla naman na akong naluha dahil kami din ang dahilan kung bakit nagpakamatay si Jayce.

I already knew that we were the reason but when I got that confirmation from the letter... it hurts. Sobrang sakit lang dahil tinapos namin ang pagkakaibigan namin at hindi manlang naconsider ang mararamdaman ni Jayce.

He was abused by his father, and his mother was basically a slave to his father kaya wala silang laban parehas. He was going through a lot but we still cut him off.

Bruce calmed me down.

I took all my strength to have courage to read the last few paragraphs.

it was one of a hell ride, right? kayo pa din ang dahilan kung bakit ako namatay. i was so fucking alone back then and you all were selfish enough to not remember me. why was i even expecting so much in the friendship we all created?

puro kagaguhan lang naman ang dinulot natin sa isa't isa eh. pero magpapasalamat pa rin ako sa inyo dahil masaya naman ako dito sa ilalim.

maddie, i hope you're still going to be a bitch like always. i'm sorry for your sister, i hope by the time that you are reading this she's fine now.

damon, pre i fuckin hate you because you're so much better than me. snd i witnessed you raping maddie's sister which was so messed up. i really wish you grow more as a person, wag ka na masyado maging tarantado.

bruce, alam mo naman siguro na ikaw ang pinaka kinakainisan ko sa lahat dito. you like isha at alam kong mas mayaman at mas gwapo ka pa sa akin kaya anong laban ko doon? sana umamin ka na kay isha at maging masaya kayo. kahit minsan nakakatangina ka bruce.

christoph, wala akong masabi sayo. basta tanginamo dahil i saw you being pleasured by a random ass girl and gave me a memory that i couldn't forget even if i wanted to.

gwen, i still hated you because you stole isha's boyfriend noon. like can't you jusy fuck with other guys, why bother ruining isha's life? keep being a fashionista you bitch.

isha, my girl, i mean you never were my girl but still. thank you for being there for me even though it was very hard for you coping up from your loss. i miss you and i love you.

We were shitting in tears, kung pwede lang itama ang mga mali namin noon sana ginawa na namin.

We could've worked, Jayce. I could've said I love you too.

Sinandal ni Bruce ang ulo ko sa kanyang balikat and kissed the side of my temple before stroking my hair to calm me down.

We were about to leave when a paper landed in front of us.
