----15 years later-----
Kriti's POV
I woke up to the sound of my alarm, yes alarm. Me, Kritika Ahuja, I got up without any drama or shouting. Well I guess that's what happens when you become a mother of two, and a wife of a man who can snore through loud, blaring alarms. Obviously you'll don't know what I am talking about. Let me fill you in on everything that happened in the last 15 years, yes it has been 15 years since, I got married to the love of my life, Siddarth Ahuja, the man I once thought was going to be my jiju. The thought causes a shiver down my spine.
Well anyways, back to the story.
After things got sorted with di, we had the baby shower and 3 months later my little nephew was born. They named him Krish. He was such a cutie. His smile brightened everyone's day. 6 months after that, another angel came into our life. Disha bhabhi had a baby girl, and she was named Ruhi. Everyone had forgiven di and now we were all a big family.
My uni continued, it was rollercoaster ride. It was easy to dream about being a lawyer, but definitely very hard to fulfill. 2 years later, Rehan bhai and Sammy got married. They were perfect together.
A year later, Dhruv bhai got married to his assistant, Shriya, she was a complete sweetheart. She fit right into the family. She is now one of my best girl friends. Now I have quite a few close girl friends, but my best friends never lost their position.
Arav and Dev remained right at the top of the friend ladder. Talking about them, 4 years later, they got married to Isha and Myra respectively. They a double wedding in Udaipur. It was a lot of fun.
Oh, I completely forgot to tell you, I finished my law course the year after Dhruv bhai's wedding and started working in a law firm to gain experience. Right after Arav and Dev's wedding, my hubby dear offered me a job, which I happily excepted, considering that is what I always wanted to do. I became the inhouse head counsel for his, Aryan jiju and dad's firms, which had now merged.
Well anyways, back on track, a year after Arav and Dev's wedding, I started behaving weird. I didn't like spicy food, which was my favourite. I wanted to have lots and lots of ice-cream and considering how much I already ate my hubby thought I needed a doctor. Then a week after that I puked after having my breakfast. I pushed it off thinking its a normal bug, but that was until bhabhi and Sid caught me puking.
They forced me to tell them the symptoms and by the end of it bhabhi was grinning. We looked at her like she had gone mad but she ignored us. She told Sid to go to office assuring him that she would take me to the doctor. She glared at him when she noticed him hesitate, and he scurried out of the room like a little rat. Good to know somethings don't change is what I had thought then.
I asked bhabhi why she was grinning, she just told me to freshen up, before we went to the doctor. I kept looking at her curiously, I had a feeling she knew what was going on but she didn't say a thing. We got to the doctors place, thankfully my nausea had reduced slightly.
Bhabhi asked me to go and sit while she spoke to the receptionist and filled the form. She told the nurse there some things and filled the form before she returned and sat beside me. We were called in and the doctor smiled at us.
'Hello, how can I help you'll today?' Dr. Verma asked, she was the same doctor that had monitored bhabhi during her pregnancy, why were we here? Maybe bhabhi trusted her more then any other doctor, ya that has to be it, there was no other explanation.
The doctor looked at the form bhabhi had filled out and asked for some blood tests to be done after asking me about my symptoms once again. The blood tests were taken and since the lab was free then, the reports were returned to us in the next 15 minutes. I opened the envelope and looked inside to see something that filled my heart with a mix of emotions. I felt overjoyed, but at the same time, I was scared, scared to be a mom. Yes, you'll probably guessed it, I was pregnant. On the way home I asked bhabhi if she could stop at the mall. She seemed to have guessed my thoughts and agreed immediately. We looked around the mall for things that we could use to surprise Sid. I found the perfect onesie. We immediately bought it, got it gift wrapped and headed back home.
I knew Sid would return early, since I was sick, he was too over-protective. I wondered what would happen if we had a girl, dear lord, guys would run away with his over-protectiveness. Too far, too soon Kriti, I chastised myself. I heard the bell and knew he was home. I kept the gift on the bed and rushed into the washroom.
The door opened and he entered. I knew he always walked to the bed first to throw his suit and tie, so this was perfect. I heard the sound of wrapping paper and knew that he was opening it, so I soundlessly entered the room wanting to see his reaction. He opened the gift and looked confused for a second before he seemed to realize what it was indicating.
'Jaan where are you?' he shouted turning around to see me. He looked at me and grinned turning it to me.
'Are you serious?' he asked me.
'No, I just thought of getting this home since I thought it would look cute on Rahul or Rohan' I droned. He realized I was being sarcastic and grinned like he slept with a hanger in his mouth the previous night. He strode towards me quickly and picked me up spinning me around happily. I giggled at his behaviour. He called everyone and told them that we were having a family dinner that weekend. We spent the rest of the day cuddling and talking about the future and our baby.
That weekend we told everyone about the pregnancy and everyone congratulated us. They were all very excited for us too. The same day, Myra, Isha, Sammy and Shriya also announced they were pregnant. We were all too excited now, all are children were going to be the same age. We kept meeting and shopping together.
6 months later Sammy gave birth to a cute baby, that was a replica of her, they named her Sanjana. 2 weeks later, Shriya gave birth to two cute babies, they were identical twins. They named them Abhay and Akshay. Isha was next, 3 weeks later, they named their baby Drishti, which was a cute combination of both their names. 1 month passed quietly after that, Myra and me were the only ones pregnant.
I guess my baby was just like me, always up for a show. We were having a family dinner at a restaurant near my place when I felt something wet between my feet and a bit of pain. I thought it was just my baby moving around again and the contractions started to get shorter. I shouted out in pain.
'Siddarth my water broke' I told him as calmly as I could.
'Oh' he replied before realizing what I meant.
'Ohh shit, the baby is coming now?' he asked me.
'No no, it is waiting for its papa to finish his dinner and desert and then it will come out' I retorted angrily and sarcastically.
'Bhai can you please get the car out, I am getting Kriti. Bhabhi you know the go bag right, could you please go home in one of the other cars and get it to the hospital' he said and then helped me to the car despite all my curses. 8 hours later our baby girl was born, the pain was worth it for this little baby. I loved her the moment I found out about her, but now I knew I couldn't live without her. We named her Mira. She was our little princess, I guess now Sid would find a different name for me, since now the title princess belonged to her. She had Sid's eyes, but other then that she had taken all my features. We sat there looking at her while she slept.
2 weeks later, Myra gave birth to a baby boy, they named him Jai. He was very very tiny. Now back to the time line.
5 years after that passed very quickly with Sid and me running behind our little princess. She was a complete daddy's girl, but I guess it is always that way. I loved their bond. Then once again I started feeling sick, I won't go into the details cause you would have probably guessed, I was pregnant once again. And just like the previous time, I wasn't the only one. Myra and Shriya were pregnant too.
8 months later, we had a little boy who we named Mihir. He had a sparkle in his eyes that let me know that he was going to grow up to be very naughty. Mira was very protective when it came to her little brother, I was glad she didn't feel jealous of him.
1 month later, Myra gave birth to a girl, they named her Advika. And just a week after that Shriya gave brith to a girl. She was born on Diwali so they named her Diya. Both the girls were very tiny and adorable.
Now two years later, things are going very well. Everything is just perfect, I am a very successful lawyer, Sid won the business man of the year award last month and I have my two little munchkins. I realized that I had been in the shower for too long, reminiscing about the past. But I guess, alls well that ends well.
----2 hours later-------
'Bhabhi, I have an important meeting today so I might get late' I said as I exited the kitchen and set everything on the table.
'Okay Kriti, don't worry, I'll pick the kids up today' she told me with a smile. I really love my family.
Everyone ran to the dining, literally, since the aroma of the meal dragged everyone out of bed. Sid entered with Mihir on his shoulder and Mira skipping beside him chattering about any and everything that came to her head. We were all having our breakfast when Mira started talking again.
'Papa you know 2 boys from our grade were punished for being naughty. They have been suspended, they won't come to school today' she said.
'What did they do princess?' Sid asked curious about why 2 seven-year-olds were suspended.
'I don't know papa, Sanju told me and Dishu that she heard Misha telling Dhruvi that Kabir Rathore and Abram Mecklai were suspended for a day' she told us honestly. Everyone just shrugged and she started talking about something else, she was really the chatterbox of the family. My sweetheart❤❤.
The kids left for school and I headed back to my room to get into my formals. Just as I finished changing the door opened and Sid walked in. He hugged me from behind and both of us looked at each other through the mirror.
'We've come a long way, haven't we?' he asked softly with a sweet smile.
'Yes we have, thank you for always being with me through everything. I love you' I whispered.
'Thanks for being mine. I love you much much more' he whispered kissing my earlobe. I shivered and blushed like I did when I was 18. I guess I'll never get used to it and never stop blushing.
'I hope you never stop blushing' he said voicing my thoughts.
'You look beautiful Mrs. Ahuja' he said, kissing me on my neck, his warm breath made me shudder and close my eyes involuntarily.
'Sid stop, I have an important meeting' I told him with gathering my wits, and slowly pulling away after kissing him on the cheek. He groaned but nodded.
'I am so glad that Krishi ran away, so blessed that you became my substitute bride, though I don't think you were ever a subsititute, I think you were my destined bride and I am thankful to god that I have you, you and our little monsters, you'll are my life' he said, kissing me once more with a lot of love and tenderness. We pulled away and fixed ourselves before we made our way to the office for the meeting. I was so lucky to be THE SUBSTITUTE BRIDE.

A story of Mira Ahuja and Kabir Rathore. Two people who couldn't stand the presence of one another. A misunderstanding while they studied Law at Cambridge, and a few petty arguments were the basis for their hatred.
Fate pushes them together one more time, can they fix things or are they too stubborn? What happens if the cause of their misunderstandings returns, this time to take them down permanently? What will happen with all this chaos surrounding them?
Read on to find out!
It is a sequel to The Substitute Bride, however it can be read as a stand alone book too, so for those of you who enjoyed The Substitute Bride, hang on tight, the story is not over yet.
