"Look honey! Twin baby boys!" The woman to my left said excitedly. As I opened my eyes I wondered where I was and why I wasn't dead. I looked around quietly as the other baby cried profusely. I observed that the woman had horns and a forked tail like that of the devil.

The man to my right had sharp features and eyes that looked like he had seen all over the world but happy where he was. He was just a regular human as I examined myself I found myself to be holding a purple tail of my own. Strange I thought I died in the car accident...

The man smiled sadly but happily at the same time, "Yes, but that means they will face many hardships being One Horned as you well know that demons ridicule One Horned Oni because of how weak they are and how they are only demi demons and the humans will try to subjugate them for being part demon if they ever act slightly out of turn. We must protect them from the demons AND humans. I can't believe that in the one and a million chance we got not only one but two, One Horned Oni." He sighed gustily.

She smiled and said "One seems to be watching his daddy~" she giggled after noticing me staring at the man trying to figure out what he meant by One Horned.

As I was handed to my so called Dad, he looked at me seriously and said,"I will keep you alive little one and I will make sure you grow into a fine young man."

I wailed finally unable to hold in the strange bubbling emotions. He panicked and handed me to my so called mother. So am I dead or?

These thoughts coursed through my mind as I sat there uncomfortably sucking on my mothers breast. This is going to be a weird couple of years.

"What should we name them Dad?" My Mom said excitedly with her eyes twinkling.

"I'm thinking, Yanadren after the great and noble hero from another world, and Yanadru after the great demon magician of the ancient times." He said thoughtfully pointing first to my brother then to me.

"Yes! I love those names!" She said happily. Their language is weird I have to be reincarnated right? That means.... POSSIBLY SWORDS AND MAGIC! I bubbled with excitement at the thought of being an adventurer and seeing the world with my own two eyes instead of on a tv.

Back in the other world the human race had made it near uninhabitable so I couldn't just go out and see the world. There were many places I dreamed of going but could never go because I also didn't want to leave my lifeline that I called my friends. But in this world I can do what I want because there's nothing holding me back!

After I had my fill she burped me and put me to sleep while my brother continued to latch on. Is it me or does it look like he is enjoying that more than normal for a baby. Hmm, anyway I'll have to wait till they leave to see what I can get in the magic department... I wish there was a status win-

I fell asleep before I even got to think about it.

The next morning I woke up to screaming and crying from me and my brother next to me as Mom rushed in fed and burped us then sang a lullaby as I fell back asleep.

Every night so far I've been practicing making light with magic like in most VR MMO-RPG game's basic light spell and I successfully make a couple balls of light before I get tired and fall asleep.

I continued this routine for one straight year till I received a new skill.

Yes! It worked! I can't believe all it took was a year to gain this skill.

I could crawl and after listening to mother and father talk after a while I learned bits and pieces of their language not enough for a sentence though. I more or less can say Dad and Mom give or take a few babble reversions and raspberries.

I wonder what my brothers status is considering he's fast as hell on his uh feet? He's just a fast crawler.

I continued to train my magic at night in hope of more magic related skills but I didn't get any new skills.

My brother however gained Magic Manipulation as well which was weird. Maybe he is doing the same thing?

Another year of training my mana and I now can simultaneously cast 7-8 balls of light. Epic.

I can now walk but talking is a bit of a chore so I trashingly asked mom to teach me the alphabet. One hour later and I easily learnt the alphabet. Don't look down on me I'm smart!

After I had learned the Alphabet I started to read up on things I'd need to know later in life.

It seems this world is made of one enormous continent, one big continent to the west over the sea, and one small continent to the north of the big continent chock full of dungeons and places that would make any adventurer scream in rejoice.

I started to read more about magic and swordsmanship in some more books, One day dad caught me reading about swords when I turned three and decided to ask me if I wanted to learn how to use a sword and I readily agreed sparkling eyes and wide missing some teeth smile.

I regretted it.
