Maddie | 2:50

Well today's Friday. So once I pick up Athena we're gonna go to McDonald's then to the sleepover.

It was 2:50 now and I was pulling into the school parking lot. The way Athena's school is set up is kind of weird. Bus riders get escorted to their buses and the teachers takes each kid to their bus and the parents of the car riders have to comr inskde the school and show ID to get their child.

Which I can understand because of safety. I actually like it.

Anyways, I got out and went inside the school. I went into the office and signed Athena out. I showed my ID and a few seconds later Athena came running into the office.

Athena: Mommy!

I laughed and picked her up.

Me: Hey baby. Are you ready for the sleepover?

Athena: Yes! I'm so excited.

Me: Good. Let's go get something to eat first though. Yeah?

She nodded. I pecked her forehead before putting her in her booster seat. I got in the drivers seat and looked back at her.

Me: You buckled up?

Athena: Yes.

Me: Okay good.

I started the engine and pulled off.

After the McDonald's trip we were arriving at Jasmine's house. Her house was pretty. There were a few toys outside but that was expected. The gouse was big and grey. The front door was big and wooden.

Athena: Woah. Beautiful.

Me: Isnt it. Go ahead and go to the door. I'll get our bags.

Athena: Okay.

She got out the car and ran up to the door. I popped the trunk and got out, slipping my keys into my pocket.

??: Athena!

I looked towarss the door and saw Amina tackle Athena. I waited a few seconds to see if they were fighting or not. My heart stopped pounding whrn I saw Amina hug Athena.

Athena: Its good to see you too Amina.

Amina: Hey Maddie!

I smiled and waved at her.

Me: What I get no hug?

She grinned before running to me. I laughed and picked her up.

Me: Woah. Your heavy.

She playfully punched my shoulder.

Amina: Jasmine's heavier.

I laughed and put her down.

Me: I bet. Where exactly is Jasmine anyways?

Amina: Oh she's on her way. She told me to tell you to just make yourself at home.

Me: So whose here with you?

Amina: Kayla's big sister.

Me: Oh. Okay. I'll be in soon.

Amina: Okay.

She ran to Athena and grabbed her hand while pulling her into the house. I quickly grabbed our bags and my phone before going into the house. I closed the door behind me and instantly looked around.

??: Pretty huh.

I looked into the doorway and saw a girl.

Me: Um yeah. Really pretty.

Girl: Im Leslee.

Me: Madeline.

Leslee: I can show you to a guest room if you like.

Me: Yeah. That would be great. Thanks.

She nodded and led me up the stairs.

Leslee: So how old are you?

Me: 22. You?

Leslee: 19.

She showed me to a room.

Leslee: Jasmine's room is across the hall. Mine is beside you. The girls will be down the hall at the very end.

Me: Okay. Thanks.

She left out and I put the bags on the bed. I looked around the room looking at the all white furniture. White queen sized bed, white night stand and white dresser.

??: I see your here.

I jumled at the sound of Jasmine's voice.

Me: Yeah. My daughter is very excited to see your sister.

Jasmine: Hm. I'm really excited to see my sisters friends mother.

I laughed and playfully pushed her.

Me: Shut up.

Jasmine: You hungry?

Me: Nah. Athena and I got some McDonald's on our way over.

Jasmine: Alright. Well I'll be downstairs with the girls.

Me: Okay. Um imma come too.

Jasmine: You can come now.

I laughed and pushed her.

Me: Not happening.

Jasmine: You know you want it.

I grabbed my phone and walked around her but stopped and whispered in her ear.

Me: Its morely around the fact of you wanting me more.

I walked out and down the hall to the girls room. I peeked my head in and smiled once I saw them painting nails. Athena looked up at me.

Athena: Ooh mommy come look at my nails. Amina did them for me.

I stepped into the room and looked at Athena's blue nails.

Me: Ooh. They're pretty baby. Amina did a good job.

Amina: Thanks!

I kissed Athena's head and walked out the room. I found my way down to the living room where I saw Jasmine on the couch talking to Leslee.

Me: Hey guys.

Leslee: Hi Madeline.

Jasmine: Wassup babygirl.

I sat down beside of Jasmine and pulled out my phone. I pulled up Kyra's contact and texted her.

Me : You never told me how your appointment went .

I looked at Jasmine as she took my phone.

Me: No give it back!

Jasmine: Reach it.

She jumled up and held it way above her head.

Me: You know Im not that tall.

I pouted making her and Leslee laugh.

Me: Leslee will you help me?

Leslee: I think I got an idea.

She got up and jumped from the couch and onto Jasmine.

Jasmine: Your not heavy, Les.

Me: How about the both of us?

I jumped on Jasmine and climbed up her tall ass body to grab my phone.

Me: Got it!

Leslee: Jump on 3. 3!

We jumped down and somehow ended up bringing Jasmine with us.

Me: All this over a phone. Geesh Jasmine.

Jasmine: Shut up.

I felt a light smack to my thigh.

Leslee: So what're we gonna do?

Jasmine: Get drunk?

Me: Kids round here.

Leslee: Let's just have a three-some.

I began laughing.

Me: Im not having a three-some.

Jasmine: How about a two some?

Me: Nope.

Leslee: Watch a movie?

Jasmine: Sure I guess so.

She cut on the tv and turned to netflix.

Jasmine: Madeline you wanna pick?

Me: Leslee can.

She gave Leslee the controller.

Me: What kinda snack you got?

Jasmine: Nearly every kind. What you want?

Me: Sour gummy worms and some kool-aid.

Jasmine: Cherry kool-aid okay?

Me: Yeah thats fine.

Jasmine: Okay. I'll go get it.

Me: Thanks.

She nodded and went into the kitchen.

Leslee: You like her.

I looked over at her.

Me: What?

Leslee: Jasmine. You like her but there's someyhing hold you back from admiting it to yourself.

Me: What makes you think this?

Leslee: I've been through this. With her. Ive liked her but I was too young for her.

Me: Oh. Sorry.

Leslee: Nothing to be sorry for. She became one of my bestfriends.

Me: Well that's good I guess.

Leslee: It is but you should go out with her.

Me: I cant. Im kind of in a relationship.

Leslee: Do you love them?

Me: Who?

Leslee: The person your in a relationship with.

I opened my mouth to reply a yes but I coldnt say it.

Leslee: Your just telling yourself you love them. You dont and you know it. You and Jasmine would look good together.

Jasmine: I would think so.

I looked at ger leaning aginst the doorway.

Leslee: How much did you hear?

Jasmine: Just Jasmine and you would look good together.

She sat back down beside me, handing me the gummy worms and putting a cup of kool-aid on the coffee table.

Leslee: We're gonna watch It Follows.

I laid my head on Jasmine's shoulder and she wrapped her arm around me.
