Saumya's POV

Rudra opens the door for me and I unwillingly sit down.

Rudra (smiling) - After we see the doctor... we are going somewhere else...

Not wanting to ask any questions, I sit silently in the car while he keeps talking to me.

At the clinic

Me (worried) - I will go by myself and you can sit in the car...

Rudra (smirking) - you were being so possessive before, what happened now? I am not leaving your side, Saumya whether you like it or not...

We both enter the clinic and I wait till my name's taken.

Rudra (smirking) - I never thought you will be so possessive of me...

Me (annoyed) - No, I am not...

Rudra (smirking) - then why did you get annoyed when Bhavya decided to join us?

Me (annoyed) - I didn't... I.. was... just...

Rudra (smirking) - Then you wouldn't mind me going to get Bhavya then...

I angrily hold on to his collar as he is about to leave and I look at him in the eye.

Me (angry) - You are not going anywhere.... I need you...

Rudra was about to speak up when the nurse calls for me and I go in while Rudra stays behind.

In the room

Doctor - How may I help you today Saumya?

Me (upset) - Actually, I am worried something is wrong with me... since a few days now, I have been vomiting, feeling dizzy...

Doctor - When was your last menstruation cycle?

Me (worried) - I was supposed to have it 3 days ago...

Wait... my cycle is never late. Does that mean that I am... no... no, it can't. I frantically get up from my chair feeling worried. Please god, please don't make this true...

Doctor - I am afraid that there are chances you may be pregnant Saumya... were you involved in a sexual activity recently?

Me (embarrassed) - Ye..yes...

Doctor - I will need you to do this pregnancy test (passes it to me)... and we will know if you are pregnant or not... the toilet is outside...on the left side... bring the test back after you are done

I stare at the test tube, which determines my future and I leave outside with a heavy heart. Please make it negative... please god... Rudra sees me going towards the bathroom with a sad face and follows me.

Rudra (worried) - Are you ok Sumo? What did the doctor say?

Instead of replying to him, I rush towards the toilet. If I am pregnant then... everything is done for. I am only 20... I can't be pregnant... that's not what I wished for...how will Rudra react? He will be a good father... but does he want a child? Thinking about all this, I follow the instructions on the tube and then I go towards the doctor's room. Rudra comes behind me and tries to ask me questions, but I ignore him. We both enter the room, and the doctor stares at Rudra and then at me.

Doctor - Who is he, Saumya? Your boyfriend?

I stand there dumbfounded, I don't even know the relationship between us. It's so fragile, it can break anytime yet we are trying to keep it strong. Not seeing me reply, Rudra looks at the doctor and nods.

Doctor - then you must know why Saumya is here?

Rudra (curious) - Yes, because she has been feeling very sick...

Doctor - Wait, it's time...

She checks the pregnancy tube and then stares at me. I am so worried, oh god. Please don't ...

Doctor - Congratulations, Saumya....you are pregnant...

WHAT? NO! My tears immediately form and I start to cry in the cabin. Seeing the scene, the doctor leaves the room while Rudra stands there like a statue. I will not be a good mother. What will di say? What about dad and mum? How will I continue my study now? What about Rudra? Will he accept this child? I don't want to be a single mother, but then I don't want to abort either...

Rudra (hugging me) - SAUMYA! We are going to become parents...

I could see the smile in his face when he said that, and that smile brought me happiness. All those bad those went away. All I could think of now was our happy family.

Rudra (smiling) - You don't know how happy you made me...

Me (smiling) - thank you, Rudra... thank you for being so supportive...

Rudra smiles at carries me out of the clinic, while I blush. Everyone was staring at us, but I was least bothered.
