I like him... if I didn't like him then I wouldn't have got so jealous when I saw him near Bhavya... if I didn't like him then I wouldn't have got so annoyed when he ignored me... it's true... I like him. I rush towards the exit to follow Rudra, to tell him that I like him but a hand pulls me towards a dark room. The person covers my mouth and then closes the doors. As soon as the light comes on...

Everyone (smiling) - SURPRISE!!!

Anika comes running up to me and hugs me and behind her came to my other best friend.... Gauri...

Anika (smiling) - Happy birthday

Anika lets go of the hug and Gauri comes to me and gives me a warm hug. How could I forget my own birthday? Suddenly Bhavya comes up to me and gives me a warm hug. No matter how annoyed I can be with Bhavya, she will always be my best friend.

Bhavya (smiling) - How did you like our surprise?

Me (teary-eyed) - It's so good...

Gauri (smiling) - We knew that you would forget your birthday... and therefore, we did this for you... (upset)... Anika told me everything that has happened while I was away... I am so sorry... that this has happened to you (smiles) but I am not going to let some idiot ruin my friend's life... now... (wipes my tears) no more tears... I don't like tears in your eyes...

Anika (smiling) - Me neither... come on Saumya... let's cut the cake...

Anika and Gauri hold me by my shoulder on each side and take me towards the cake... which is pushed in a trolley by Bhavya and...RUDRA! Him... I was looking for him... and he came... Oh god... I run up to him to say something when Bhavya smiles and says...

Bhavya (smiling) - Meet my boyfriend... Saumya...

What? He just confessed his feelings for me a minute ago... and now... he is her boyfriend... was the confession fake? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME? I put on a fake smile and I go towards Bhavya to congratulate her. At least someone got what they want.... I fell in love with Reyaan, in return, I got betrayed... I fell for Rudra... and in return, he went to my best friend.

Bhavya (shaking me) - SAUMYA!

I get out of my thinking mode and Bhavya brings out a 3 layer cake for me. The cake really did look yummy, the cake was chocolate flavoured, as I liked and the colour was pink. I wanted to taste the cake, but my appetite just died. I don't want to eat a cake got by Rudra...

Me (fake smiling) - I will be back...

I rush out of the room with tears that I have been holding coming streaming out of my eyes. I just went through a heartbreak... and again I got heartbroken. Am I not meant to fall in love? I rush into the art room and I close the door behind so that no one can see me in this stage. I go towards the box which contained the letter and I open it. I could see that the paper was getting wet due to my tears, but I couldn't do anything. Only one person can cheer me up.

I know we haven't known each other for a long time, but I feel as if we know each other in real life. I smile seeing the last line, and my tears stop streaming. I have never met anyone that loves something so much... wow... I take out my pen from my purse and paper and I reply to him.

I don't want to keep calling you a stranger and therefore I will call you that. Hope you don't mind. :-) I will surely message you if I need you... Now coming to what I love the most, then I love parathas... especially those made by my mum... she makes the best ones... I need advice, I just got betrayed again by another guy... and I think I don't deserve love... every time I fall in love... the guy betrays me... what should I do? Before I could finish my letter I hear Gauri and Anika knocking constantly on the door and I reluctantly open it.

Gauri (worried) - Thank god you are ok... when we saw you run... we were so scared... we wanted to run behind you... but Bhavya said to give you time...

Anika (cupping me) - You can share your feelings with us... we know you since we were in primary school... we are sisters...Saumya

Gauri (worried) - I don't want an emotional Saumya on her birthday... I want a happy Saumya....

Me (crying) - Why are you making me so emotional? I am hurt, Anika... I am hurt Gauri... I fell for Rudra... and he betrayed me as well.... He confessed his feelings for me 10 minutes... ago... and then... I saw him... saw him with Bhavya...

Gauri (angry) - This guy! This is exactly why I hate guys, I can't bear to see you hurt Saumya... I will bash him up for you...

Anika (worried) - No Gauri, you will get suspended... And I don't want that....Saumya, let's just move on... Gauri (smiling) - Yes Saumya, Anika is right... let's move on... and show that Rudra how happy you are without him...

Gauri gives me a warm smile and then takes me towards the same room.

As we are reaching the room, we bump into Shivay and Omkara. Anika is about to fall but Shivay saves her. 

As always, Anika's eyes are closed due to her fear but Shivay's eyes are on her. Anika opens her eyes and stares at Shivay with a blush while Shivay smirks. Unfortunately, Gauri interrupted the moment by fake coughing. Anika immediately gets up from Shivay's arms and then moves away from him.
Shivay (smirking) - Wow Anika, I never knew I had such an effect on you...

Anika (blushing) - Well now you do...

Am I missing something here? What's happening?

Gauri (annoyed) - Can't you watch where you are going? (to Omkara who bumped into her)

Omkara (annoyed) - Excuse me, Ms I was watching where I was going but it seems like you weren't.

Omkara isn't lying, after all, it's true... we were too busy talking to each other that we didn't see where we were going. I knew that Gauri was going to burst at Omkara as she is never ready to accept her mistake and therefore, I tried to diffuse the situation.

Me (smiling) - So sorry, actually we were going towards the old room... in C block that we didn't see you...

Omkara (curious) - No one has ever gone in that old room...since it's so old and unsafe...why did you guys go there?

Gauri (angry) - Why do you care?

Omkara (annoyed) - Ms Angry bird, I was just curious... can't a guy be curious?

Gauri (annoyed) - Not a guy like you...

Me (annoyed) - Gauri! Come on... (smiling).. It's my birthday actually...

Shivay (smiling) - So you are the birthday girl... Happy Birthday, Saumya...

What? How did he know?

He puts out his hand so I can shake and then gives me a hug.

Anika (smiling) - I told him...

What is happening between those two? I really need to know this. I thank Shivay and then invite him to the room.

Gauri (whispering in my ear) - Please don't ask that idiot to come...

Me (smirking) - Omkara, please join us as well

Omkara (annoyed) - Is this angry bird going to be there?

Me (laughing) - Yes... she is my best friend...

Omkara (smiling) - it's fine... you guys enjoy... I don't want to be near this women

Gauri (smiling) - I don't want to be near you either...
