Khushi's POV

I rush towards the guy while he looks at me puzzled. Who is he?

Me (worried) - My sister, is she fine? Who are you?

Guy (worried) - Saumya, needs help right now... we can discuss this later

He rushes to a doctor and makes the doctor check Saumya

Doctor (worried) - Nurse, can you take her to the spare room...

The nurse takes Saumya from the guy's arms and then using the trolley, she gets Saumya to the spare room while I follow her.

After 15 minutes

Doctor - Your sister is fine, she was in a state of shock... please make sure that she doesn't get shocked like that or it could be life-threatening... She is asleep right now, she will be awake within an hour.... And then she can go home

The doctor then leaves after giving me a slip of paper which has the list of medicines I have to get. I look back at the guy waiting for him to answer my questions.

Guy (worried) - M...My... name is Reyaan... I am Saumya's friend...

Me (angry) - Get out! Don't show me your face again... I don't want you to be anywhere near my sister, what do you think? That I wouldn't know what you did to my sister... if I see you near my sister again, then I will make your life miserable...

Reyaan (sweating) - Ho...How did you know?

Me (angry) - I know everything, LEAVE!

Reyaan (angry) - I will be back ... you won't be able to stop me the next time I come

Reyaan stomps away from the spot while I go to check on Saumya and surprisingly, she is awake and not asleep.

Saumya (upset) - Di, tell me the truth... how did you find out about Reyaan?

Me (upset) - I am sorry Saumya... Anika told me... and there is a reason why she did... I didn't want to say this but your life is under threat....

Saumya (confused) - What? Di, please explain to me... and please tell me di... was mum right? Was it because of me that dad is in this condition?

Me (worried) - Look this much stress isn't good for you Saumya...

Saumya (annoyed) - You have my swear di...

Why Saumya? Why do you have to give me your swear? I wasn't supposed to tell you this... oh god...

Me (worried) - Ok, well... as you know we found out our doorsteps...well I was ten at the time... and mum was pregnant...I was going to get another sibling... I was really happy...my life was perfect... I got love from both my parents... and I had wonderful friends.... And I was living the life of a princess... it still is perfect... and I have a wonderful sister... who makes it this perfect... however, at that time we were in India...  after we found you on our doorsteps, we adopted you.... Dad thought of you as his second daughter... me as your elder sister... while mum also started to like you... however, one night... changed everything... I don't know what happened.... But... when I came from school... I saw mum was laying on the floor... blood all around her...I immediately called the ambulance... and she was hospitalised... at that time she was 5 months pregnant... you were still at school... I called dad after that... and ... (crying)... he... came rushing to the hospital with you...and... the doctors... they said that mum lost her child... dad was shocked... he was really upset... however, he was glad that mum was safe... as soon as mum got conscious... we went to her... and she was screaming as she lost her child... I don't know what made her lose the child ...mum became... zombie... she used to sit like a statue.... She neither talked to anyone or even moved from her spot... she would eat and drink and that's all... after a few days, dad moved us to Australia... where mum started to get better, however, she... she started ignoring you, Saumya until yesterday... I don't know why she does that... and I still don't know how my brother or sister passed away... I asked Anika to keep an eye on you... as I heard dad telling mum a few weeks ago... that your life is in danger... and I don't want to lose another sibling

Saumya was crying thinking about all this and as expected, the injection that the doctor gave her, took effect and she fell asleep. I rush towards my car crying, remembering the memories that I wanted to forget.... Remembering the loss of my sibling... remembering the memory of my dad telling mum that Saumya is in danger... and on my way, I bumped into Payal again and she looked at me shocked.

Payal (shocked) - Khushi, stop crying... are you ok? Is everything fine?

Me (crying) - No Payal... nothing is fine... I am scared... I don't want to lose my sister...please help me...

Payal (worried) - What? Sister? Khushi, what are you saying?

Should I trust you? Wait I can trust her... she is like an elder sister for me...

Me (worried) - I heard my dad a few weeks ago telling my mum that my sister is in danger... I am scared Payal... I feel that I won't be able to protect her... my heart keeps telling me that danger is near her...

Payal (worried) - I can help you Khushi... I can make sure that guards are always around her... without her knowledge... and she will be safe... I promise...

Me (smiling) - Really, you can do that for me?

Payal (smiling) - Of course I can... but Khushi... now that I have solved your problem... can you help me with mine? Please... I will still do your work even if you don't want to help me...

Me (smiling) - I will...but you have to promise me that if that lady tries to hurt you again... you will come to my house...I will give you my address...

I give her my address on a slip of paper while she tells me something shocking.

Payal (nervous) - I am sorry Khushi.... Now that you agreed... I have to tell you this... my name is Anjali... not Payal... I am sorry I lied to you... but I had a reason behind that...
