I also wrote a Chapter Three, so here it is.

It was around midnight when Jack got back. Seeing the note on the door, he headed upstairs. When he came in, he dropped a newspaper on the table.

The headline was "Man Murdered and Tortured", the paper from Florence.

Will leaned over to look. "What does it say?"

Jack looked at him.

"I'm dyslexic," he explained.

Jack sighed. "They found a man's body. The house had no signs of a break-in, but he appeared to have been tortured and killed. I'm supposed to look into it."

"No need for that," Nico said from behind them. Jack and Abi turned around. He was holding a bow. An arrow was nocked and pointing at Jack.

Will started to stand. "Nico. . ."

The other boy silenced him with a glare. "No one can know."

"What'd he do?"

"The same as the rest of them."

"So Gwen and Hazel and Leo have been excused?"

"Of course. Hades doesn't want to be overthrown."

"You mean. . . You'd do that?"

"Family is family. And they've been more a family to me than my father ever will be."

"So why do you still do what he says?"

"This particular man broke into an orphanage and killed everyone in it. He deserved to die. I wouldn't've killed him if he didn't."

"Then why are you so willing to kill us?" Abi pleaded.

"As long as you know the truth, you're a danger to my family."
