“What did I tell you about having those two over when I’m not home….?” He trails as he opens the door and stares at me as I stand in front of my closet with my guitar. “What are you doing?” “What? Nothing. Just playing and walking around my room….” I shrug showing a nervous smile, “Right, and why’s your shirt on backwards?” I look down then back at him, “I must have not noticed! Chris would never tell me if it was or not.” I inform and he give an agreeing nod looking around the room. “Where’d you get this?” He point to something on my desk and my gaze follows down his arm to a purple mask resting against my computer monitor. I sharply inhale seeing it. That’s Majora’s mask….“I picked it up out in the forest, when we were filming!” “What?” “I found it near the school.” I glance around my room, then look back at him as he raises an eyebrow, “Right. Anyways….I’ll be home for Halloween next week.” “Handing out candy?” “No, to make sure you’re safe. Which means you can’t go to that party.” He speaks stepping out of my room, “I guess that’s fair….” ‘Chris will find a way to sneak me out.’ I think waving dad off as he closes the door behind him. I set my guitar down and grab the mask turning in every which way. I frown and walk over to my window and open it. “You’ve met with a terrible fate haven’t you?” I jolt at the sound of BEN’s voice but shake it off, “You’re about to meet with one yourself.” I growl winding up ready to chuck the mask out the window, “No! Please! I’m made of soft stone! I’ll brake in a million pieces!” “Not really my problem.” I reply throwing the mask at full force and watch it fly out then get stuck in the tree across the street by one of the metal spikes. I sigh, closing the window, then walk over to the closet and let Jeff out. “Here.” I hold out the pages waiting for him to take them, “Huh?” “You said if I gave these back you’d leave us alone!” I say frowning my brows shoving the paper into his hands. “Now please, get out….” I pled then walk to the door, “You could have broken my mask!” I hear BEN whine as he climbs in my room through the window that’s now opened. “Like I said before; not really my problem….” I purse my lips turning to face them.
“___!” I turn my head towards the door right as it opens smacking me in the face sending me onto the floor. “_-” Lewis looks at me to see my now bleeding forehead then at Jeff and BEN, turning horrified quickly, “Yeah, no. I’m fine! Thanks for asking….” “Karma’s a bitch ___~” BEN sneers winking at me, forcing a rather confused blush to roam my cheeks. “Hey, you’re dad said you’re not going to….” Chris’s voice trails off as he steps into the room seeing the two killers stand still staring back at him. “Oh dear, are you ok?” I look up to see laughing Jack holding out a hand to me with a more then gentle smile, which made me slightly smile back. “I’m ok….thanks.” I carefully take hold of his hand trying to avoid the blade fingers, and he helps me to my feet while my friends stand in utter confusion and fear. “What’s going?” Chris manages to speak as his glance travels around the room at the speed of light, “We’re dressed up for Halloween! Don’t you recognize us?” BEN smirks tilting his head to the right, placing his hands on his hips, “Dress up….? What-who….I don’t….Oh….I get it….You’re those kids that must have unlocked the gate in the forest! Funny! You guys suck.” Chris growls at the end crossing his arms, glaring BEN down. “What did you just say? Do you want to die?” BEN speaks back sprawling himself all over my bed. “Aw, c’mon you’re not fooling anyone anymore! Stop acting tough! ___! I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about them!” He turns his gaze to me, “Huh? Chris….These guys are the real thing….” I furrow my brows at him then look at Jack to see he still has my hand, “Um….” I pull my hand away slowly then look towards Chris and Lewis, “Y-You mean to say….t-these guys a-are really creepypastas? T-they killed all those people? F-for real?” Lewis reaches out and grabs my wrist pulling me over to him near the door. “Yep~ We are!” BEN beams rolling over onto his stomach to look at us. Lewis stares for one last minute then grabs Chris’s shirt collar, grips my wrist tighter, then quickly drags us out the room, down the stairs to the front door, “C’mon on you guys! Move it! We have to get away before they follow us!” Lewis whispers opening the front door, “They aren’t going to hurt us if we’re civil with them.” I say pulling my wrist back, “I’m for once with Lewis one this one, I’m getting out of here.” Chris flings the door open and pulls Lewis with him, “W-wait! You guys!” I look back at my door then back at the boys. I take a deep breath and hurry out to them and we head down the street to Chris’s house.
As we near a small ally in between two houses I see a shadow peeking out from inside, so I prep my gun clicking off safety. I study the ally with close eyes seeing a figure shift slightly, it’s nearing the exit of the ally. From what I can tell, it’s a male outline and the little bit of sun that hit him, he’s wearing a yellow hoodie. As we close in I see a small shimmer of metal near the hand area, quickly realizing what his plan is. I quickly hold up the gun just enough to shoot the dirt in front of the ally, and fire on shot. Whoever’s in there fell backwards and onto the ground most likely surprised. I glance over and Chris and Lewis to find them hugging each other and staring at me with startled looks, “Wh-why’d you do that?” Lewis stammers staying close to the much bulkier Chris who isn’t as scared but is still speechless. “___ watch ou-” Chris started but was cut off as I turned quickly and fast punch whoever in the face dropping him to the ground with a squeal of pain. I shake my hand, I hit something hard. When I look down I see the creepypasta named Masky. The white mask he wears, now has a huge crack running straight up and down, connecting at the nose, which is visible due to the broken plastic. He groans sitting up placing a hand to his forehead, “Whoa, that hurt….” He speaks, he doesn’t sound much older then me. I look down then hold out a hand for him to take, he eyes it before carefully reaching up and resting a pale hand in mine, then I pull him to his feet. “Uh, Masky….” “___. Sorry about punching you in the face!” I smile and shake his hand that I already have a hold on. He nods to me and takes back his hand, “Goodbye.” He says before darting towards the forest then disappears in the trees. “Alright let’s go….” I turn to see Lewis and Chris even more confuse so I drag them by their arms to Chris’s house.
We finally made it to his house and he unlocks the door. “My dad’s probably working s-” When we walk in….we find his dad laying on the floor in a large pool of blood….eyes carved out, intestines ripped out and discarded every which way….All that happens in that split second was Chris’s panicking yell, Lewis faints next to me, and I catch the smallest glance of someone exit the window at the end of the hall. Chris pulls out his phone and calls the cops pulling his desisted father into a hug, while I fan Lewis to wake him up. “C’mon Lewy….” I whisper keeping a steady rhythm with the fan, and he opens his eyes, “Is it over? Did I win?” I chuckle at his words as he sits up and looks around, “God NO!” He yells standing up and shuffling out the open door to vomit in the bushes. I stand up and walk over to Chris and place a hand on his shoulder, “You ok?” “No I’m not fucking ok!” He snaps crying his eyes out, I furrow my brows and crouch down next to him wrapping my arms around his shoulders, “Let’s go wait for the cops on the porch….It’ll be better that way….” I speak cupping his flustered tear stained face, with a gentle smile. He looks at me for a moment then slowly nods taking hold of my hand, and I guide his wobbly self out to the porch where Lewis passed out from puking so much. “See? Now we can sit here and laugh at Lewis. I have a marker on me~” I smile at him to try to make him feel better, but he just sniffles with a pathetic chuckle the sits down on the steps, “Once second….” I say walking back into the house and grab the blue blanket that was on the table, then bring it out and lay it around Chris’s shoulders, along with an arm. “We’re here for you Cracker….” I grin a bit pulling him into a hug as he sobs into my chest, and we wait for the police, “Thanks….” He murmurs snuggling closer, ‘I’ve never seen him like this before….ever….’ I think as time ticks by while the cloudy gray skies turn darker. The cops made it thirty minutes ago and they’re hounding Chris with questions. He was so shaken up I had to hold his hand and answer the questions for him, while Lewis stayed passed out, on the porch’s swing seat. “Are any of you injured? What’s wrong with the boy outside?” Officer Gil asked leaning forward, “We’re all just a little fazed. Lewis has a weak stomach so he passed out from throwing up so much.” I say run my fingers through Chris’s hair as he lays his head on my lap, blanket still loosely around him. “Alright, well, we’re going to bring you three to the station to ask farther questions and to keep you safe, please, follow me.” Officer Lyle speaks in a kinder tone, he’s one of the closer ‘friends’ to my dad. He was there for us when my cousin was shot in town a few years back. I gather up Chris and Lewis then we get in the car and drive away.
“Ugh….Man how long was I out?” Lewis asks sitting up, “An hour at the most. We’re heading to the station right now.” I say looking over to him, then back at Chris as he squeezes my hand still leaning against me. He’s not normally passive, especially towards me since we aren’t that close. “What am I supposed to do?” He whispers to me staring at his shoes, “You can come live with me and my dad if that would make you feel better?” I suggest looking down at him, “Thanks….” “Anytime. You are my friend after all.” I smile stroking his hair. “Alright, we’re here, everyone out, you Shamrock, keep the vomit in your mouth.” Gil speaks stepping out of the small cop car along with Lyle, we follow along then head into the large building for questioning. Walking up the many steps just outside the big glass doors I feel a heavy chill crawl up my spine, something wasn’t right with the atmosphere, it was….off.
“Stop saying that!” I yell slamming my hands down onto the desk stand out of my seat next to Chris, “Then explain how he got cover in all that blood!” “He hugged his dead father! I would have done the same thing! He was with Lewis and I the passed two to three days! He couldn’t have done it ! Calm your fancy toupee asshole!” I whale at him for thinking Chris was the one who killed his dad, “That was an insult!” “Yeah no shit Sherlock!” The officer takes a deep breath with a flustered face then sits back down, I won that battle. “You can go.” He speaks shooing us away, so I take hold of Chris’s hand and carefully help him out to a bench where Lewis was waiting. “How’d it go?” Lewis asks rising from his seat, “Heh, heh….___, she told off the guy in there….heh heh!” I smile at his light chuckle then we all sit back down right as my dad walks by, “Hello ___, Lewis, Chris. How you doing?” We give a bored answer then he nods and walks off to the mini café to get a donut and some coffee. “Would you like something to drink Cracker?” He gives a slight nod but stays resting against my chest, “Ok, give me a minute, I’ll make a fast cup of your favorite tea, how does that sound?” He grins at me, so I stands and walk over to the café and start a brew. “So Chris going to stay with us?” Dad asks sipping his drink, “Yeah, is that ok?” “It’s perfectly fine, stay safe kiddo, I’ll drive us home so don’t leave the building ok?” I nod then he heads off. I stand near the window looking down at the parking lot since we walked all the way to the second floor for the questioning room. Something’s moving in the bushes near the forest….it has an orangey coloured skin and huge white eyes that take up most of it’s face. The moon shaped eyes peer through the thick leaves, looking as if they’re glowing….this thing is looking right at me….And only me….
