Intermission One: Who Needs To Fly?

Hey, the narrator just said, "fuck it," and left. I'm gonna let Protagonist tell these from his view point. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to try to get the narrator back from his break before the next chapter. Yo Nathan! Better start getting ready!

I sit on my bike, I see the ramp in the distance. I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna jump the void! Yup, the place that breaks souls. Why am I jumping it? Well, the void is a precaution, it separates us from the True World. If you have enough control, a bridge will appear and you can cross the barrier into the True World. Why's the True World so important? The Void War of course! Little is known about the Void War, all we know is that the outcome is gonna change the world. If one of us could get to the True World, we could stop the war and save both worlds. Unfortunately, only the author and his emotions can cross the barrier, and anything capable of flight immediately crashes if it goes over the void. We can't build an artificial bridge, cause there's no bottom to build atop. The solution? Jump it!

What about it being a link to your world and the fact Hero was there? Well, the void is dangerous, but some spots break the 4th wall. These spots are relatively safe. My plan b if this goes wrong is to maneuver myself into one of those spots. I begin to peddle. Rushing forwards twords a ramp at the end of the balcony. As I dash down the hall (yes I'm riding a bike indoors, screw you professor (tree name here).

I overhear Villian and Hero talking. "OK bro," Hero explains, "I see your fifty bucks, and I raise twenty."

"That's a bet yo gonna lose sis," Villian, another canceled vessel, smirks, "he's never gonna clear it! Not even dad can clear the void!"

I go into the air, and realize this is the worst idea I've ever had. I begin to fall. I jump off my bike and land in a safe patch. Well, land isn't really the right term. I keep falling until reality corrects itself and sets me on the balcony.

"Damn," I mumble, "if only you guys were here. Please come back." ... The readers say nothing. I sigh. "You OK?" Hero asks.

"I'm fine!" I reply.

"Are you fine with what you did?" Hero asks.

She begins to morph, soon becoming Antagonist. "You let me die brother," he growls, "you let the readers into this world. You have failed!"

"You're not real," I reply.

"Oh, I'm not real?" The hallucination replies, "what you did is. You are a murderer!"

"Get out of my head!" I demand. The hallucination fades.

"Wanna try with a motorcycle?" Villian asks, "I got one in my shop."

"Sure," I reply, "bring it up." Villian leaves to get the motorcycle. I look out into the void, thinking about my brother. "I'll see you in the next one brother," I mumble.
