Cast: Leo: Literally Me

Sloth: Techinally the lord of the sin of Sloth/inaction, but unlike the other lords of sins, was given a soul and thus free will and the ability to be good. His soul is closely based on that of Leo's due to Jackal, a matriarchal entity that watches over humanity in the lore of this book series, feeling guilty over Leo having a severe psychological breakdown. As a coping mechanism, she/they (Jackal uses both pronouns interchangeably) created a version of Leo who had a much better childhood and is overall far better off in terms of mental health. He is, in a certain manner of speaking, what I could have been if anyone came to help me when I cried out for help. If the police or parents in my town weren't active threats to the children at my high school. Forcing me to take matters into my own hands by writing and offering support to the best of my ability.

Symbolism Relevenat Lore

Leo in the series uses ink magic, which represents the power of words, and love magic, which he draws upon the love for a non genetic family he forged to use. However, most of said family left so... yeah.

The Actual Fucking Poem

Sloth: Leo I get it. It hurts, but where does this end?

(Instrumentals kick in here as Sloth approached Leo, the two looking from atop a massive crystal tower at a field of endless white grass. Gen3king's castle as those who have read the series will recall.)

Sloth: The path you walk is a dangerous path.
You got good intentions and I can't deny that.
But we're two of a kind and I better than anyone,
Know your mind.

You fake a smile and take on the weight.
But you're carrying to much and I'm watching you break.
You're heart is full of hate and I hate them too.
But this can't be the only thing you do.

It can't be the sole reason death, you refuse.
Tell me what does Leo want!?!
What does my best friend desire?
What is it you need to make that smile real?

(Sloth speaks as he reaches out to Leo, trying to comfort him.)

Sloth: Leo, listen to me. You can't keep pushing yourself. I know that better than anyone. Leo, I'm a entity representing an entire sin and even I can't change the entire world! You're one normal guy! You're not the hero of this story and-

(Leo turns around, enraged.)

Leo: YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT!?!

(Leo begins to sing.)

Leo: I once feared sloth, but my sin is wrath.
But I guess it's always been like that.
I've had to take matters,
Into my own hands since I was young.

My extremism is the solution,
To a problem that's so extremely common.
I know against it I do not stand a chance.
Compared to it I'm an insignificant speck.

But you don't hear unanswered cries!
You didn't see these people cry!
You weren't gaslighted,
And threatened with abuse!

I'm not the hero and not special!
But no one else came to help them!
No one answered me when I cried out!
So I'll play a false hero and answer the cries!

(Leo's hair briefly turns red as he tries to tap into love magic, only for the power to flicker out in his hands, without his loved ones who left him love magic is now inaccessible. He clenches his fists and continues.)

They took everything and eveyone!
I cried out but there was no one!
Playing hero to come,
And save me!

And with these hands stained in crimson!
I'll see my goals through to the end!
You know if my cries were answered,
Like you I could have been!

That's what I hate about you Sloth!
You're my bro dude but come the fuck on!
You taunt me with the me,
I'll never be!

And while I know it's to much to bare!
When we cried out no one was there!
So I'll make a stand right here!
Because it always falls to me!

The ones I loved left me behind!
But I march on and hope for afterlife!
Focusing soley on,
My short and finite time!

This road is dark,
But it brings the world light!
That's why I'm,
Going to continue to fight!

We're similar but not the same!

Sloth: But if you keep pushing you will break.
Even if you'll get everyone you love back in afterlife.
Do you not beleive that God wishes,
For you to live like he isn't there even though he is!?!

Leo: Yes that's true and that is why,
I've given up on a happy life!
The afterlife I know for fact exists,
Is solely peace of mind!

You're strong in a fight,
But I'm stronger in mind!
The evils that hurt us,
From the world I'll wipe!

And all I need is pen, paper, and paint!
I refuse to use anything else!
I may be mad but I understand,
That I need to keep ethics in my actions!

(Several voices join Sloth, the voices of loved ones who didn't leave Leo.)

Sloth And Loved Ones: But what about the one we love?
What is it that YOU truly want?
Afterlife is a fact,
But for now you're alive!

If the long game of Heaven is already won!
And you have to live as if it's not!
What is your next move in the short game,
Of life?

We care about your time here too!
And we only want to help you!
So Leo how will you win,
The short game too?

(Leo's hair begins to turn red again, once again using love magic as he begins to sing with all the voices.)

Sloth and Loved Ones: You don't have to do everything!
Take a deep breath and you'll see!
We're still here and we won't,
Leave you behind!

Leo: Is it OK to drop this weight?
I can't function without,
An enemy,
That I must face.

Sloth and Loved Ones: You don't always have to fight!
It's OK to rest and close your eyes!
Humanity always improves!
The wicked in the long run lose!

Don't you beleive that they will burn?
In Hellfire where they deserve?
Don't change your actions due to afterlife.
But allow it to bring peace of mind!

It's not your responsibility!
To try to save everybody!
So just trust us!
And do what's best for you!

(Leo sighs and turns away, the magic fading from him as the song ends.)

Leo: I... don't know what I want. I mean afterlife, going to Heaven and getting back everyone forever and ever. Great! I know for a fact it's there but I'm not dead yet and won't be anytime soon if all goes well. I don't know what I want. I don't know how to win the short game because I've lost what I wanted.

Sloth: Just don't fight right now and focus on finding out.
