Nineteen.
Scott's eyes collided with the way too familiar person. He was perplexed, shocked to see who it was, never in his wildest dreams did he think he'll meet the person. It was none other than his brother, Daniel.
"Daniel?" Scott raised a brow as he watched Daniel lift Isla in his arms.
Anna sucked in her breath sharply. What was she going to do?! She kept looking forth and back at the brothers who kept staring at themselves. She could have prevented them from seeing each other.... This was not going to end well at all.
Scott finally turned to Anna. "Anna? What's going on?" He narrowed his eyes at Anna.
"You need to leave." Anna said in a shaky voice, not daring to meet his eyes.
Scott turned back to Daniel. "I-I-I don't understand, can someone tell me what's going on?" He finally raised his voice.
Daniel frowned at Scott, confused as Scott. Where was he going to start explaining from? "Scott let me explain..."
"What are you doing here Daniel?" His eyes turned to Isla who was hugging Daniel's neck. "Is there something I am missing here?"
"This is my best friend, his name is Dee." Isla said innocently, oblivious of the tension between the three adults.
Scott's eyes became dark. "How long have you known each other?"
"It's been very long." Isla grinned at him.
Scott's eyes widened... "You've got to be fucking kidding me." He said under his breath.
Anna could see that Scott was angry and upset, she had to stop him before he could do anything. "Scott wait." She stopped him from going to Daniel. "Let's talk, I don't want you to do anything in front of my daughter." Anna was shaking as she held Scott's wrist. "Dee, can you please take Isla outside." Anna's eyes were begging.
Daniel was reluctant as he couldn't leave her alone with Scott but he eventually nodded and then left.
Scott pulled his wrist away from Anna. "You better start talking." He said deadpan.
Anna inhaled deeply, then exhaled. "Why are you angry? Dee is just—"
Scott scoffed. "So he has a nickname now huh!" He gave her a death glare. "How long have you been in contact with my brother?" He asked her.
"It doesn't matter." Anna told him.
"It matters to me! Anna I looked for you, I went high and low just to find you! Daniel knew it and he hid the fact that you were still in touch with each other. Anna, I almost lost myself when you left because I spent an entire one year of my life searching for you! So it damn matters to me!!" Scott roared at her.
Anna suddenly found her courage. "You looked for me?" She scoffed at him. "Should I jump and say thank you?" She asked sarcastically. "Should tears start rolling down my eyes because you looked for me? No! I'm not stupid. Why should I care if you looked for me, that absolutely doesn't move me at all. You know why? Because the day I left you was the day I forgot you." Anna told him squarely.
Scott fisted his palm in his side. "Is this still about seven years ago? Anna, I know I hurt you, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I regret everything because I lost you. Believe me, if I could go back in time to change everything that happened between us, I would."
Anna laughed bitterly. "Oh wow. I should be ecstatic." Anna shook her head glaring at him. "I wonder why we are having this conversation. So what if Daniel and I have been in contact, there's nothing you can do to change it."
Scott became more angry. "I can always do something to change that." He said.
"Can't you just leave me be? I'm happy with my life." Anna told him. "Walk away Scott, you have nothing here to pick up." She said.
Scott's face softened. "Fine, I'd leave you." He said to her.
Anna's glare suddenly relaxed. "What?"
"I'll leave you alone." Scott smirked at her for the first time that day. "But not without my daughter." His smirk widened.
She felt like a cold bucket of water had been poured on her body as he face instantly went pale. "N-no." She stuttered.
"No? Isabelle is coming with me whether you like it or not." He watched her.
Anna turned her back to him. She was scared to death. He... He couldn't do that to her... Right? Anna felt like passing out.
"Anna bear, I know Isabelle is my daughter." Scott told her. For a fact, Scott didn't know. He just said it for saying sake, but seeing her reaction made him believe what his mind was telling him.
"She's not yours." She said in a whisper.
Scott walked in front of her, seeing how vulnerable she was. "I know she is."
Anna finally had the courage to look up at him. "She's not your daughter Scott." She said, looking sober and unintimidated. "She is Daniel's." Anna finally dropped the bombshell.
Scott's face dropped, studying her for any emotions but her face was ever rigid. "You're bluffing." He didn't want to take her serious.
Anna sighed. "If you think I am, why don't you ask him yourself." Anna felt weak already. "Daniel is Isla's father." She said more confident than before.
"No! You're just saying that to spite me." Scott wasn't believing her.
"I don't care if you believe me or not, I already told you the truth. Now, can you stop harassing my family?" Anna told him with begging eyes.
Scott frowned at her. Anna had to be lying, why would she do that to him?! "Stop! You're lying!"
"I already told you the truth. Isla isn't yours, she's mine and Daniel's. Scott, I don't care about you neither do I care about what you think." Anna told him.
Scott frowned at her for almost a minute until realization hit him. "You were sleeping with my brother?!"
Anna gave him a weird look of disapproval but she soon shook her head. "How else do you think Isla was born?"
Scott was irritated by her response. "I expected more from you." He was surprisingly calm. Without another word, he walked out of the house.
Anna tried calming herself as Scott had gone but it was difficult to do as Scott's last words kept ringing in her head.
................................................................................
Scott had driven out. He didn't care where he was going, he just needed to leave. So Anna was sleeping with his brother? Why hadn't he noticed back then? So they have been contacting each other for a long time and Daniel kept it away from him. Scott anger grew by the second. They both deceived him, especially Daniel! Scott stepped on the gas, heading for a dead-end. He was infuriated by the betrayal.
Soon his car skidded, nearly hitting the guardrail.
"Shit!" He exclaimed after gaining control. "Dammit." He hit the steering wheel in annoyance.

"Anna?" Daniel walked into the house.
Anna turned to him. "Where's Isla?" She asked.
"In my car. I told her to give me a minute." He said and Anna nodded. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked, taking her hands in his.
Anna closed her eyes for some seconds and opened again. "I'm sorry, I didn't think Scott would come."
Daniel hugged her. "You don't have to worry, I'll explain everything to him." He assured her.
Anna hugged him back. "Do you think he is going to be okay? I-I-I know, I shouldn't care but..." Anna bit her lip.
Daniel pulled away. "Stop thinking about it."
"I told him about Isla?" She looked up at him. "I told him you're her father."
He nodded slowly... "It does not matter anymore, he'll come around."
"I-I-I didn't have a choice, he threatened to take her from me." Anna said, rubbing her forehead. She took in a deep breath and then she sighed... "I don't want my daughter to see me like this, can you drop her off without me?"
"Of course." He nodded as he patted her back before leaving.

It didn't take long, Scott took off to America in his private plane. All those years of looking for her was wasted because she was having fun with his brother. He was surely going to make her suffer for letting him go through the stress of looking for her.
"You got here so fast. What are you, flash?" Scott had just arrived at his pad in Washington, he had called Amanda.
"Anything for you. What's up?" Amanda gave a flirtatious smirk as she sat in his living room.
"You know, I still wonder how you have my key. Did you have it duplicated?" He grabbed a wine glass from the nearest table, pouring some red wine in it.
Amanda shrugged. "What do you think? I knew you still have that soft spot for me, It couldn't have gone so quickly." She flipped her hair.
Scott sipped from his glass. "Have you been told, you're modeling for us? Our next luxurious jewelry collection?" Scott asked her.
Amanda frowned. She didn't believe. "Is that suppose to be funny?"
Scott placed his hand into his pants pocket. "You don't believe me? Well, apparently, my father thinks you're gonna bring goodluck if he includes you in the commercial."
Amanda sat up, giving Scott a look. "What? You're... You're serious?"
"I don't lie when it comes to business. Use what you have to get what you want, it's a simple logic." Scott took another sip.
Amanda gasped. "What?! No fucking way!" She stood up immediately. "You mean, your dad wants me to...." Amanda squealed happily.
Scott rolled his eyes. "Yup. Excited aren't we." He said dryly.
Amanda laughed... "This is fabulous news!!! I cannot believe this."
"Me neither." Scott sighed. "And for your info, my family is inviting you for our family dinner next week, Tuesday night."
Her mouth fell open. "No shit."
Scott raised a finger. "Try not to embarrass me."
"Holy shit!" Amanda couldn't believe everything was finally falling into place. "So... So does that mean you're officially introducing me to your family?" She smirked at him.
"Don't get excited, none of it was my idea." He told her plainly.
"It's about time." Amanda said proudly. "Finally, the wedding preparations can be finalized." She chuckled.
Amanda couldn't be happier, his family had accept her now. Meaning she still had a chance to make Scott fall for her. Soon, it would be till death do them part. She nodded to herself.
"Wedding." He rubbed his lower lip. "Amanda one more thing," he looked at her. "Don't think this understanding we have now is gonna be regular, it's not." He said placing his glass down on a side table.
Amanda walked up to him. "Relax will you, you're tensing up again." She kissed his lips. "You can't deny the attraction between us Scott because believe it or not, you'll always keep coming back." She ran her tongue up, from his lips to his cheek, then his temple.
Scott stared at her. He could perceive the scent he had grown fond of —strawberry and peaches— Anna's scent. That was one reason he couldn't resist Amanda, she had the same sweet smelling scent as Anna back then. Not anymore. Anna's scent was different now, that longing scent wasn't there anymore. To him, she now smelt more intoxicating than before —Vanilla, jasmine and Ylang ylang. Three deadly scent.
Scott's eyes dilated, as he pulled Amanda closer. He still wanted Anna, but maybe the younger version. The older version was complicated and arrogant, the younger version was innocent and simple. He kissed Amanda passionately, as they wildly made their way to the room, discarding their clothes.
................................................................................
Scott stood, shirtless, admiring the whole city from his room of his multi-million penthouse. He held a glass of whisky in hand, sipping gently, when he felt hands wrap around his body.
"What are you thinking of?" Amanda asked him, placing sensual kisses on his back.
"Nothing you should be concerned about." He answered back.
Amanda scoffed, running her hand down her hair. "You know, you always spoil the mood." She walked away from him. "Whenever I try to make a civil conversation with you, you shut me up."
Scott turned, he noticed she had on the shirt he was wearing before their sexual activity. "Civil conversation? I don't need you to make conversations with me. What are we going to talk to about? How much your dress is worth? How much you spend on jewelry, how you spend my money in clubs and parties, how you gossip with your friends? Oh come on Amanda, I don't care about those stupid things." He told her.
Amanda turned to look at him. She didn't bother to button down the shirt as her whole body was exposed to Scott.
"You know why you're here." Scott told her. "I suggest you don't cross your boundaries."
Amanda stared at him. "Who is Anna?" She asked him.
Scott rolled his eyes, walking past her. "What do you care?"
"I care because the whole time we were fucking you kept calling her name." Amanda followed him out of the room.
"So? It's just a random name." Scott said walking down the stairs.
"Huh! It's a first." Amanda said knowing.
"What?" Scott was irritated.
"You've never walked away from a question." Amanda bitched at him.
He abruptly turned to her. "You don't really think you're the only girl I sleep with, do you?" He asked, mocking her.
Amanda opened her mouth to speak but words don't come out. She cleared her throat.
"And I don't think I am the only man you're fucking every now and then." Scott raised an accusing brow at her.
"I haven't been with another man for the past two months, because we're engaged. It's bad for your publicity." Amanda frowned at him.
Scott laughed sarcastically. "Really? Really Amanda? That has to be the most obvious lie of the year. Congrats." He said before turning to walk away to his minibar.
"It's true. I care about you and I wouldn't —"
Scott turned, placing a finger over her lips. "I have heard about enough Saint Amanda, okay?" He gave her a mocking smile before turning away to his minibar.
"How about you... How many other women are there? At least you owe me that." Amanda folded her arms.
"Probably a thousand." He answered, nonchalantly. "And I am going to have more mistresses than you can ever imagine."
Amanda scoffed at him. "Aren't you shameless." She said, not as a question.
Scott clicked his tongue. "Amanda," he turned to her, taking a seat on his bar stool. "We have had our fun, yeah? I think it's time to leave." He deadpanned.
Amanda gave him a deadly look. "You won't find any woman as good as me Scott, I assure you." She stomped away.
Scott could not help but chuckle. Won't find? God, this woman was as dense as her brain. Scott chuckled again. Her brain was only active on bed nothing more. When she meant good, did she mean in bed or intellectually.
................................................................................
Anna sat with her daughter in the living room while Daniel was at a corner receiving a private phone call. Anna sat on a sofa, stroking Isla's hair while Isla sat on the floor beside Anna's leg. Isla was placing with some toys.
Anna still couldn't get what had happened in her house early off her mind. She kept on sighing.
"Is something wrong mommy?" Isla said, turning to Anna.
Anna gave a weak smile. "Nothing peaches, mommy is only tired." She said, removing a strand of hair from Isla's face.
Isla got up, sat on Anna's lap and hugged her. "You really look like you need a hug." Isla said, hugging her mother.
Anna smiled, hugging Isla. "You're right sweetie, I needed your hug."
Isla pulled away after some time. "When are you going back to America?"
Anna suddenly remembered she hadn't told Isla about them moving. "Oh sweetie, it skipped my mind." Her smile widened. "I know you're upset about me leaving again but I have some news I'd like to share."
"What?"
"You've talked." She poked Isla playful. "And I've listened." She poked Isla again and Isla giggled. "And I have come to a conclusion that..." Anna smirked at her daughter. "You'll be coming with me." Anna said happily.
Isla gasped. "What?!" She hugged Anna tightly. "Mommy!!!" She squealed happily.
"I take it you're in support then." Anna laughed before Isla pulled away.
"Best news ever! Is aunt Syla coming with us?" Isla's bold brown eyes were shinning.
"Unfortunately... No. Aunt Syla wants to stay behind... But she'll visit when she can." Anna told her.
Isla nodded. "Aunt Syla would have loved America."
"I know baby. But you know.... Naraya is coming with us." Anna grinned tickling Isla all around her body.
Isla laughed to her heart content. "I... Am... Going..." Isla screamed happily while getting tickles from her mom. "Peeeeeee!!" She laughed and screamed, before jumping out of Anna's grip.
Isla immediately ran to Daniel, hugging his legs.
"It's mommy." She said trying to hide.
Daniel chuckled, picking her up in his arms. He still had a phone over his ear when he turned to Anna, mouthing one second.
Anna smiled at him as she watched Isla bury her head in the crook of his neck.
