Anna went closer to the door, that's when she noticed it had no handle, except a keyhole. She was surely locked in.

"Dammit!" She tried to push the door open but it was too thick and metallic. It was no use trying to budge it open. Anna even tried to kick it but ended up hurting her feet. She groaned aloud. "Shit!"

Anna tried calling Naraya's phone but it turns out Naraya was too busy dancing to the loud music and didn't hear her phone ring.

Anna kept banging on the door, maybe someone would hear and help. It wasn't up to five minutes later, she had heard someone's voice but she wasn't sure. Then she kept hearing the voice.

"Is someone there?" She asked with a little ray of hope. Everywhere was silent suddenly. "Can anyone hear me?" She banged on the door in case the person couldn't hear her. When there was silence for a moment, Anna yelled out in frustration that maybe no one was actually there and she was alone. "Can anyone hear me?!"

      "Um... Hello?"

A voice came through even though it wasn't very audible, it brought happiness to Anna's heart. She immediately banged the door furiously.

"Oh thank God, thank God!" She clutched her chest, closing her eyes for some seconds to show how relieved she was before opening her eyes. "Excuse me, Excuse me, please help me! I'm locked in." Anna yelled out to who ever was outside.

       "Are you okay?"

She knew from the way he sounded, he was not British. He? A knight in shinning armor Anna thought for a second. Whoever he was, she was glad that he came at the right time.

"Yes... Yes I'm okay." Anna nodded. "Can you get me out?" She asked him.

Anna felt the door vibrate. Maybe he was trying to push it open. "Are you good with locks? I-I have a pin you could use." Anna yelled out to him.

"Baby girl chill, I can hear you, you don't need to yell. It's just two of us."

Anna's face turned pink immediately. "So-sorry." She apologized with a regulated tone. "I thought the music would be loud on the other side." She admitted to him.

"To answer your question, no, I'm not good at picking locks. How did you get locked in?"

"I wanted to make a phone call, this was the only quiet place. I don't even know how the door jammed." Anna told the stranger. "What are we going to do now?" She suddenly felt helpless.

"Chill, I'm gonna look for something to break the handle alright?"

Anna sighed... "Okay... Wait!" She yelled again, trying to stop him from leaving.

    "Yeah?"

"What's your... What's your name?" Anna asked but there was no reply. "Hey look, I'm only asking because I wanna call you by your name. I'm actually scared of you leaving me here, knowing your name would give me a sense of assurance." Anna told him plainly. When there was still no response, Anna sighed.

      "Scott."

Anna smiled. He hadn't left after all... "Thank you...  Scott.... For helping me." Anna thanked him.

      "What's yours?"

      "I'm Anna." Anna answered.

"Okay Anna, I'll be back. I promise."

Anna felt at ease as she decided to wait patiently for the stranger bearing Scott.

After almost a minute, Anna heard a loud voice.

"Scott? Scott? Scott is that you?" Anna banged on the door.

Soon the door was opened and she saw a man dressed like a bartender.

"Scott?" Anna frowned. Was he Scott?

"What are you doing in here?" The bartender asked her, looking really surprised.

"I-I-I-I got locked in." Anna stuttered out.

"You're lucky lady I passed by. You would have stayed here all night." He told her. "I hope you weren't hurt or something."

"I'm fine." Anna stared at him before opening her mouth to speak. "Are you Scott?" She asked the man.

"Scott? Who's Scott?" The bartender raised a brow at her.

"He was the one who..." Anna paused for a while. "Never mind." She shook her head.

"You really need to leave." The bartender told her.

Anna nodded. Where could Scott be? She hadn't thanked him enough. Anna walked away from the place, heading out of the corridor. She finally made it back to the loud club, but she felt something was missing. Why?
🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

Scott had searched different places to get something hard enough to hit the door handle, he found a heavy wrench that he found worthy of breaking the handle. He quickly headed back to the corridor where he the lady was locked in.

Anna.... Scott sighed softly, he suddenly was eager to see who was behind the door. He kept on chanting her name in his head as he couldn't get it out. On reaching the corridor, he saw the bartender locking up the place.

"Hey!" Scott called, jogging to meet up with the man.

"Huh?" The man gave him a look. "You're not supposed to be here."

"I just wanna ask, the lady..."

The bartender interrupted him. "She got out."

Scott nodded. "Oh." His sudden excitement died as it came. Scott unexpectedly asked, even if it was stupid. "Did she have long brown hair? Bangs? Slender?" Scott asked, describing the teenage Anna he knew.

"She did have a long brown hair but... No bangs, she wasn't slender." The bartender told him.

Who was he kidding?! Anna won't be the same girl she was back then? She would be different.

"Thanks." He handed the wrench to the bartender before leaving.

When he got back into the club, he found red drinking with another girl.

"You took so long lover boy." Red pouted at him, immediately dismissing the friend she was with.

"But you waited." Scott smirked mischievously. "How about we find somewhere for just two?" He suggested, raising a brow.

"Good idea." Red stood up, throwing her arm around Scott. "Lead the way baby." She licked his earlobe.

Scott wrapped an arm firmly around her waist, pulling her closer. "You have no idea what I'm going to do to that mouth of yours." He told her.

Anna got home late and tired, she was extremely worn-out, her feet were killing her as her heels were the first thing she took it off as soon as she stepped inside her house.

"It is pretty late." Syla turned on the lights when she heard the door.

Anna could see Syla sitting close to the switch on an armchair.

"And you should be sleeping." Anna replied back.

"Anna I think we should talk." Syla stood up, walking towards Anna.

    "Aunty Syla I am..."

"Tired. I know. I just want to say a few things before you go." Syla stood, facing Anna.

"Is this about Isla? Did something happen while I was gone?" She suddenly had a sense of panic.

"Isla is fine." Syla assured her. "Although, I want to talk to you about your daughter."

Anna raised a brow. "About what?"

"The father of your child." Syla frowned at her.

Anna clicked her tongue, that topic was always sensitive to her. "Can we please let it go?"

"Why? You kept avoiding that topic for seven years, it's high time you stopped running away from—"

"I'm not running away. Isla is better off not knowing her father." Anna shrugged it off.

"I don't get you at all! Isla's father is right there in her face and you still wouldn't tell her the truth, isn't that selfish? She wouldn't get to call her father dad because of your personal issues. It's been seven damn years, you still have a hard heart." Syla told her.

"Aunt Syla, Dee and I both agreed not to say anything to Isla. Can we drop this topic now?" Anna shook her head.

Syla sighed sadly. Her niece was still as stubborn as ever.

Next morning, Scott had a driver driving him around the city, he had wanted to go sightseeing. Last night, he spent it with Red AKA Kath. Kath was her real name and she wasn't as good in bed as she looked. She had an appetite for sex just like Amanda back home. He didn't want her staying too long, so after their early morning poontang, he asked her to leave.

He was thinking about something else when someone crashed their car into his.

"What on earth..." Scott felt the impact of the hit. He could see a red Ferrari car pull over. "That idiot needs a good beating." He dusted the lapel of his black jacket, waiting for his driver to park the car.

     "Sir I—"

Scott cut the driver off. "I'll handle it don't worry." He got out to face the reckless driver.

But as he got out, he saw someone who he hadn't expected to see.

"Daniel?" Scott was amused to see his brother.

"Scott!" Daniel exclaimed looking at his brother in surprise.

"Man, what are you doing here?" Scott walked over to Daniel. "Don't tell me dad sent you to watch me." Scott smirked at his brother.

"Of course not." Daniel hugged Scott. "Didn't think we'd see each other here." He admitted.

Scott pulled away. "Does dad know you're here because if he did, he won't have sent me here in the first place." Scott narrowed his suspicious eyes at him.

Daniel chuckled at Scott. "Dad doesn't know I'm here. I didn't tell mom either so please do me a favour by not telling them you saw me." He told Scott.

"One condition, you'll follow me to the Hazel gala on Monday night." Scott told him plainly.

Daniel placed his hands in his pants pockets. "Monday night?" He thought for a while. "Bro I'm sorry, I've got something important Monday night."

"Oh come on Daniel," Scott landed a playful blow on Daniel's chest. "What could be more important than helping your lil' bro." Scott gave his killer smile even though he knew that it hardly worked on his brother.

"I'm really sorry Scott, I would really have joined but... this is kind of important too." Daniel told him.

Scott blew raspberries... "What is so important?" He asked Daniel.

"I have to be somewhere, but don't worry, I'll make it up to you somehow. And you know what," Daniel placed a hand on Scott's shoulder. "Regardless of what dad thinks, you're gonna nail the contract. I trust you."

Scott sighed softly. "Your father is giving me a hard time, please return as soon as possible."

Daniel laughed heartily, folding his arms. "You don't say."

"Dude, is this your ride?" Scott took notice of the hot looking red Ferrari.

"It is." Daniel glanced back at his car.

"Whoa! Never knew you had it. It's a sweet ride." Scott touched the car. "Super clean!"

"Wanna go for a ride? I can show you around." Daniel smirked at his brother.

Scott smirked back... "What have you been up to Daniel Ontario?"

"Just so you know, my life isn't as boring as you think. Hop in." Daniel jerked his head towards the car.

Scott went over to the passenger seat without looking back at his driver.

"Aren't you gonna tell your chauffer that he can leave?" Daniel asked as he entered his car, slamming the door shut.

"He has a brain, let him use it." Scott chuckled.

"Scott..." Daniel raised his brow at Scott.

"What? I'm right aren't I?" Scott buckling his seatbelt.

Daniel rolled his eyes playfully. "Where's Chad?" Daniel asked him as soon as he started the ignition.

"He's having the best time of his life. I think the dude is in love with a girl he met only yesterday." Scott laughed sarcastically. "He couldn't stop talking about her this morning, I couldn't take it so I left him to his delusions." Scott sniggered.

Daniel listened to Scott as he drove away. Daniel laughed in amusement as his brother said unspeakable things.

Although brothers, they were different. Scott enjoyed parties and fooling around, he joked around, he was always all over the place, never tried taking responsibility, very carefree about life and does everything he thinks is right at that particular time. He's never apologetic and for some reasons cold and heartless towards people, he never gives a damn. Scott loved attention and he made every day always about him. His weakness? People would say are women, but to Scott, women were only tools to ease his urges. To him, he didn't have any weakness.

On the other hand, his brother Daniel was quiet and peaceful. He loved being out of the spotlight, away from the crowd. He was nice, a workaholic, very friendly to approach. He cared about people around him a lot. He stayed away from scandalous things since he was the perfect son, he believed in hardwork. He was a great person to be with. For women? He was always so secretive with anything that had to do with his relationship.

If Anna was going for the gala, she was late. She definitely had to go fashionably late. Going late wasn't her fault but her daughter's who started throwing tantrums, insisting that she wanted to go with her. It took a lot for Anna to calm her daughter down, but that was until Dee came around.

Anna wore a mermaid spaghetti straps red satin sexy dress, she was on full makeup that detailedly highlighted her face. She had her hair perfectly sitting on one shoulder. She was the definition of an odalisque enchantress.
Justin made sure she had a comfortable and luxurious ride, as he had hired a limousine for Anna.

        Anna's Dress.....

................................................................................

Scott was dressed in his expensive black Sefano Ricci two piece suit, he was elegant and dashing not to mention how he looked like the hot, sexy leading man straight out of a Mexican movie.

The gala was a big one, lots of influential people around the world were all there. Scott and Chad had already struck a deal with Leon Smith, so basically their primary assignment was done.

"I'd like to see more of you in future my boy." Leon Smith told him half smiling. The man was about 65-70 years of age, he was potbellied, not someone you can call tall, and he didn't smile often.

"Sure Mr Smith. It's been wonderful talking to you." Scott knew his killer smile had dire effect on anyone he smiled at, Leon was just one of the many.

Leon shook Scott's hand firmly. "If you could set a meeting with your father sooner, I'll appreciate it."

"You have nothing to worry about, I will set the meeting." He said to him.

"Not business related though, you should come by my club tomorrow night. I hear you bring a lot of goodluck with you." Leon chuckled crookedly.

Scott chuckled at him. "Yeah, I do."

Scott found out, based on his interaction with Leon, that Leon was a crook. He was surprised that Leon warmed up to him quickly or maybe it was because of Scott was quite popular around, Scott didn't expect Leon to know about his title as the sexiest man alive. Leon was current, and for some reasons, he showed interest in getting to know Scott. Scott could tell that Leon liked women a lot even though Leon tried to be subtle about it. Maybe the reason Leon took an interest was because he thought they were alike.

While listening to Leon, Scott perceived a vanilla, mixed with jasmine or was it lavender? Ylang Ylang? It was coming from behind him and the urge to turn was killing him.

Fuck it! Scott turned. By the time he turned, he saw her, dressed in a red dress.

🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

Anna could feel all eyes on her as of the moment she stepped into the hall.

"Miss Windsor?" Someone had immediately walked up to her.

Anna knew who he was. It was Frederick Morris from Morris company.

"Mr Morris." Anna gave him a friendly hug.

"You are looking gorgeous." Morris admitted with a wide smile. Bringing her knuckles to his lips, Morris kissed them.

     "Thank you." Anna smiled.

"Please join us." He said locking arms with her. "It's really good to see you."

Anna followed Morris to meet a group of people. They were all dressed elegantly and sophisticated.

"Everyone, I want you to meet Anna Windsor." Morris introduced her to four people.

Anna gave a warm smile, but she noticed the strawberry blonde, green eyed kept staring at her.

"Hi," Anna shook hands with all four of them.

"It's nice to meet you." They all greeted her politely.

With the corner of Anna's eyes, she could see that the other female in their midst kept giving her a strange look.

"Anna's co-owner of AnStin treats pastry restaurant, she's also Head chef." Morris told the group.

"Oh wow, that's wonderful. AnStin is a fast growing resturant, I've been there before and I must say that the pastries are amazing." One of the men commented.

"Of course!!" The blonde lady exclaimed in excitement.

The group looked at lady after her sudden outburst, even Anna.

"You're Anna." The lady said happily. "I was wondering why you look familiar, now I remember!" The lady moved closer to Anna. "It's me, it's me Esta." The lady grinned happily.

Anna gave her a look. "I'm sorry... I don't remember..." She frowned at the blonde woman.

"Awww." She smiled. "It's been such a long time, I almost did not recognize you without your bangs."

Bangs? Who was this lady? Anna narrowed her eyes at the lady.

"From Clover?" The lady waited for Anna to have a flick of remembrance. "Ummm.... I used to be besties with Rochelle while in high school. Please tell me you remember Rochelle." The lady smiled.

Of course Anna would never forget Rochelle. Soon it clicked.

"Esta?" Anna's eyes grew wider as she stared at Esta.

"Finally!" Esta hugged Anna. "It is so good to see you."
