Chapter 25 || Her Ambivalence

Ambivalence, Confusion, Dilemma. Yes these were the words which resonated with Anaisha's current mental state. She really was confused. Confused because she didn't know whether she should accept or not the scholarship that she was being offered by one of the most prestigious universities of the world, the same university from where she did her MBBS. She doesn't know what she should do.

In her batch apart from her, only two people have been offered this scholarship, Rhea and Yuvraj. The remaining three were good but couldn't get it. As Annie was getting the annual Best Intern Award, she was also being given this special privilege of getting an appreciating letter from the Dean.

While Rhea and Yuvraj had accepted the scholarship, she was still confused about it. This scholarship meant a lot to her and she knew all along that she'll be offered this because firstly she did her MBBS from there and secondly due to her performance as an intern. Accepting this Scholarship would mean a step closer to her dream to become a successful Paediatric Oncologist but it would also mean going away from her family and..... Kabir!

If Kabir for once wasn't a part of her life then maybe going back to America, wouldn't have been so difficult. But she couldn't just go away from him. He meant the world to her. How could she just go away from him that too for 3 years? Three Years! That's such a long time! How would she live so far from Kabir? And Kabir, what he would feel without her?

She was sure it will hurt him badly, but... this scholarship was important for her dream and she couldn't compromise on that but then again she didn't want to upset Kabir either.

She was in this dilemma since last couple of weeks. She, Rhea and Yuvraj were informed a month back that they were being offered these scholarships. Only her Phuphu and Dr. Rai knew who all got the scholarships. Apart from them no one else knew about it, not even her family members who worked in the hospital.

The time she got to know about this, she was on the seventh cloud. But soon realized that if it meant an opportunity for her to live her dreams then it also meant a long distance relationship with Kabir, about which she wasn't sure! The reason for her insecurities was valid; they were together for just six months and this distance relationship thing was something which was just too early for them. But then it was about her dream and Kabir. On one hand she wanted to go for her PG and on other she wanted to be with her Kabir.

The same Kabir for whom she'd been trying to mend the gap between him and his parents so that his pains would reduce and his life could get back to normal. She kept this as a secret because she didn't want him to know that she was in contact with his parents since she feared it might make him angry. She'd been successful in convincing his parents to forget their past and give a chance to their relationship and once again become a family. She made them understand how their actions had affected Kabir so severely and how much of a wreck he was from the inside. Though at first his parents were adamant and stubborn but her outburst made them realize how wrong they both were. 'Maybe I was a little too intimidating that day....,' she thought about her outburst.

But then her outrage did made things easy and slowly over regular persuasion, Kabir's parents accepted their faults and even told her how much guilty they both were. They both confessed how much they wanted to make things right between themselves and Kabir, but they feared Kabir's rejection. She had reasoned with them that it wasn't too late to make things right and they could still heal their sons' childhood wounds. And it seemed like that has worked well as she had seen considerable changes in Kabir and the environment of his house. She just hoped that they sort out their issues soon and become a happy family like hers. And with everything fine in his family, maybe it would be easy for both of them to survive this long distance relationship.

After spending time with him over the last few days, her confusion increased even more. She felt guilty for lying to Kabir but how could she tell him the truth? How will she tell him that she had to go away from him for three years? Didn't she promise him that she'll always be with him? Then how could she now break that promise? But it's about her dreams yet she didn't want them to go through the trauma of a distance relationship.

Seriously it was so damn confusing! There were so many questions going on round in her head and she had no answer for any of them!

An hour later of reaching her home after their date, she went to the terrace to calm her nerves and think about a way to tell Kabir the truth. She leaned on the railings and stared at nothing in particular. Her mind was too confounded to think anything properly. The last time when she had to leave for her undergraduate, it was nothing like this. It was easy, and awesome for her as she was excited for living her life without any parental supervision. Okay, her parents did kept an eye on her and Aarush but still they both were independent and enjoyed their college years to the best.

But this time, she wasn't feeling nice about this going away thing. Her anxiousness for Kabir and insecurities about their relationship, were the main reasons why she didn't want to go. When she first met him, she didn't think that he would be such a mess from inside but after knowing his past, she wanted him to be happy, with her. And this was making it hard for her to make her decision.

She was still leaning on the railings, when Aarush came there. He saw his sister lost in her thoughts, so he quietly moved towards her and patted her shoulder and said, "Lost in the dreams of your Dr. Thapar?"

Anaisha got startled with Aarush sudden voice. She was lost thinking about her dilemma and Kabir's life so didn't notice when Aarush came and stood next to her.

"What...? No! I mean Yes! I mean...," Anaisha tried to say something but because of her meddled state of mind, she didn't know what to say.

Aarush saw her puzzled face and said in a soft voice, "Calm down sis! Relax!"

Anaisha cooled down a bit and moved to sat on the chair. Aarush sat beside her and asked with genuine concern, "There's something that is bothering you right? If you don't mind then you can share it with!"

He was observing her for some days and knew well that she was extremely bothered by something, something very serious. Being twins and of same age, they shared the closest bond in their family. And this understanding was why Aarush could easily guess out his sister's troubles. Though Anaisha's relationship with Kabir did replaced her troubleshooters but Aarush's place in her life remained intact.

Anaisha fiddled with her fingers as she didn't know whether she should share it with him or not. She looked at Aarush, who was looking at her waiting for her response. She hesitated a bit but then said, "Dodo can we go to my room and talk about this? I don't want anyone else to know about this."

So his guess was right. Aarush knew whatever was bothering his sister was damn serious so he nodded and both of them moved down stairs. They were about to go in Anaisha's room when Aarush said, "Sis you go, I'll just come in a few minutes, okay?" Anaisha mumbled okay and went to her room quietly.

Aarush was 100% sure that his sister was tensed either about her PG or something related to her relationship. Since he wasn't sure so wanted to know it from her. But whatever the cause was, it was troubling his sister a lot.
That's why she even forgot that today she and Zaina were having a sleepover. He went to the kitchen and then towards the living area where Zaina and Leher were sitting and talking. As he approached them, Aarav called Leher and Leher excused herself from there.

Aarush went towards Zaina and said impatiently, "You're here for your sleepover with Annie na? So come with me fast."

Zaina, before could even say anything, was dragged by Aarush, who was holding her hand in his right hand while in his left hand, was holding a big tub of Annie's favourite ice cream.

Annie, who expected only Aarush, was surprised to see Zaina in her room. Surprised, she asked Zaina, "Zee you at this hour? Something important?" Zaina looked her bestie with a puzzled look and wondered what was wrong with her. She was the one who called her and now she was asking her what was she doing here? Something seemed terribly wrong with Annie!

Zaina glared at her and replied indignantly, "Excuse me? You were the one who called me today for a sleepover. Remember Ms. Tube light?"

'Oh Haan!' Annie suddenly remembered about their sleepover plan. Because of scholarship thing and relationship issues, she completely forgot that. She looked at her bestie who looked highly pissed and said apologetically, "I'm sorry Zee. I just forgot it. I'm really sorry for that!"

Zaina looked at Aarush, who in return was looking at her. By then both of them were sure something was wrong! They both settled themselves on her bed, on either side of her.

Aarush then asked her, "Annie now tell me honestly what's troubling you. Since last few days you seem lost. Is this has something to do with Kabir? Did you two fought or something else? Or is it about your PG? C'mon now speak up!"

Annie looked at her bestie and her brother; she needed to share this with them. She took a deep breath and said dully, "Actually it's about my PG and Kabir as well, I mean my relationship with him."

She narrated everything about the scholarship and her worries about long distance relationship. They both attentively heard her.
When she finished, she was already crying. She didn't know why she broke down but it made her heart lighter.

Aarush hugged his sister tightly and rubbed her back. He didn't like seeing the women in his life crying. And she was one of his most favourite women! He while consoling her whispered, "Stop crying sis, okay? Crying won't solve anything. Please yaar don't cry na! You know na I don't like seeing you cry so please stop."

Zaina while stroked her hairs said supportively, "Annie I know this is very hard for you but you need to take a decision because maybe taking a decision will hurt you for a while but not taking it, will remain as a regret for life. So please dear calm down and think peacefully."

After some minutes of consoling, Annie calmed down and stopped crying. Aarush passed her the tub of ice-cream and she ate a few bites of it. When she was done eating, Zaina asked her with uncertainty, "Have you discussed about this is with Kabir? Does he know about your scholarship?"

Annie bit her lips and said slowly, "No he doesn't know about this. Neither he nor Aarav Bhai or any other person has any idea that I got this scholarship. I don't know how to share this with him. I mean I kinda think that he knows I'm being offered this scholarship, he even asked me about it but then I couldn't think of a way to tell him so I had to lie."

Aarush and Zaina looked at each other. They both knew what she was feeling. When Aarush started dating Zaina, he too had second thoughts about going back for his education but he went because that was the right thing at that moment. But Annie was very much in love with Kabir. And due to this, it was difficult for her to think about this.

Aarush smiled at his sister and said, "I understand your situation baby, but you need to be strong. It's high time you tell Kabir about your Scholarship. I know he's your first love and your first relationship but sis, this is about your dream, your career and you need to make a choice which will be best for you, your career and your relationship! Try to be calm and then think about this peacefully. Don't take any decision in haste. Just be calm and decide."

Zaina held Annie's hand and said agreeingly, "Aarush is right Annie. This scholarship is something which will help you fulfill your dream. So please don't let this opportunity go by. Talk to Kabir about this. As far as I know him, he loves you a lot and would definitely want you to take it up. This is really a big deal! And you should be happy about it. Please don't be so sad and relax. Everything will be fine!"

Annie nodded her head and said, "You guys are right. Thank you both! It is a big deal Zaina and I'm very much happy about it. You know I nearly fainted when I got to know about it and the appreciation letter. You know na me and Yuvraj have won equal number of awards, so last month's award was deciding one for us and I won. It feels really awesome, but only if I could rejoice it. Anyway I'll try to talk to Kabir about this soon. Maybe he'll be able to help me out, like he always does!" She winked at the end of her sentence. Zaina and Aarush smiled at her.

After a while of talking, Aarush wished them good night and left to his room. Zaina and Annie lied on her bed and talked for a little more time. Zaina kept telling her how happy she was for her and also told her to share it with Kabir because if he got to know this from someone else then maybe he'd feel bad and hurt. So it's better if Annie told him about it on her own.

Anaisha kept thinking about what Zaina told her. Should she tell about her scholarship to Kabir? How would he react to it? As much as she had known him, he'll make her accept this scholarship. But will he be able to let her go, for three long years? Her mind was still not clear of it. Around dawn she fell asleep after thinking about all these things for the entire night.

"Good morning, Kabir," Anaisha wished Kabir while getting herself seated in his car.

He smiled at her and replied, "Good morning Sweetheart! You okay? You look stressed and sleep deprived."

Anaisha tried to smile to make him believe that everything was fine and said causally, "Nothing Kabir. Wo actually yesterday me and Zaina had a sleepover and we kept talking till dawn. So I hardly got any sleep. That's why I'm looking a bit low and dull." True she was up till dawn but not because she and Zaina were talking but because of her dilemma.

Kabir smiled at her and said concernedly, "Oh that's a valid justification. But anyway you should take care of yourself. Already you have long stressful working hours and then you're not taking proper sleep."

Anaisha smiled at him and said while checking messages in her phone, "Ohh and who's saying this? Dr. Kabir Thapar, who himself hardly takes care of himself. You work like, 15 hours a day normally Kabir, that's almost 6 hours more than me. And then you spend your remaining time with me and talking to your patients, which leaves you with only 4-5 hours of sleep. It should be me saying that you know."

Kabir chuckled a little and said blushing a bit, "Hmm.. but when I'm with you, all my tiredness goes away. You make feel relaxed and calm. But hey, see as you'll get more and more settled in your career, the urge to save as many lives as possible will increase. And because of this, stress is surely going to be in a great amount. If you don't start handling it now, it will be hard for you later. So please, take care of yourself and keep yourself relaxed. Never let the stress get to much into your head that it starts affecting you badly, be it about your patients or your personal life."

As Kabir said that he looked at Annie. He knew very well that her stress was not because of lack of sleep. She was tensed about something else but he won't force her into telling it. In fact he'd wait for her to share it with him. What Annie liked most about Kabir, was his patience and understanding. He respected her space and never tried to invade it.

Knowing well that she won't say anything about her problem, he decided not to pester her further. Instead of that he asked, "Annie, are you free tonight?"

Annie was trying to figure out what he was trying to say, looked at him with a puzzled look and nodded her head in a confirmation.

Kabir saw her nodding and said shyly, "Umm.., I have planned a date for us tonight. I know we went for a date yesterday but there's something important I need to talk to you about. So if you are free then we can go for it."

After he got to know what all Annie was doing for him and his family, he really wanted to thank for everything she had done for him. He had refrained his parents from telling her that they have sorted out their issues with him. He did it because he wanted to thank her in a very special way.... with a ring! No no, not an engagement ring, rather a promise ring. He decided to gift her that ring because he wanted her to know that no matter what the situation be, he'll always be with her, whenever and wherever. That was his promise to her and to himself!

Anaisha for a minute forgot about her ambivalence and smiled a big smile and said enthusiastically, "Sure Kabir! Even if I was busy na, I would've spared time for you. By the way, is there a reason for this sudden date?"

Kabir looked at her and said lovingly, "No not really. But do I need a reason to take you for a date? I can spend time with you whenever I want, right?"

Anaisha blushed a little and shyly replied, "Of course! You can spend your time with me whenever you want. I was just asking. Anyway I'm looking forward to our date!"
The rest of drive was quiet as neither of them spoke anything and only the radio filled the silence.

Though for some time she forgot about her scholarship and her dilemma but again she was back to it. She was still confused and now it was getting irritating as she hadn't shared about it with Kabir yet. She was completely mixed up! Only ten days were left for deciding whether she would go or not.

She was sitting in the Cafeteria with Yuvraj and Rhea when Yuvraj said, "Look Annie, I know you love Dr. Kabir a lot and he loves you as well but that doesn't mean you can just give up such a big opportunity. Opportunities don't knock on your door twice. Once it's gone, it's gone forever! This scholarship is once in a lifetime thing. Just think by accepting it, you'll be a step closer to your dream of being a Paediatric Oncologist. Among so many people you were selected for this, because you deserve this. Don't let it go wasted!"

Rhea, agreeing with Yuvraj, said politely, "I know Anaisha it's really hard for you. But it's not easy for us as well. You and Dr.Kabir are in a committed relationship and everyone's aware of it. But just think about me and Shivam. We are just in the initial phase of our dating, we aren't even committed and I don't know in these three years what will be our situations and whether we will be on the same page or not. Still I'm taking up this scholarship because I know this is what the best thing to do at this moment. So please don't let all your hard works go in vain!"

Annie looked at her friends and sighed, she knew her friends were right but...."But guys, Kabir, I just can't leave him alone! He's my everything. All I want to do is be with him all the time! But I don't wanna lose this scholarship as well. Maybe I could just take a break for a year and then apply for PG or maybe I should just accept it. Or I don't know I'm just confused!" She knew she wasn't making sense.

Hearing her reply Yuvraj lost his cool and said in a irritated tone, "You know what Annie, you aren't the only person in this world who's in a relationship. I'm damn sure that you and Dr. Kabir will survive this distance relationship for these three years. Even Shivam and Rhea would survive this. I'm in a relationship too, but that doesn't mean I'll let it affect my career. I know relationship matters but you can't just sit back holding it, leaving everything behind. This is a damn big deal! You just can't be confused at this stage. I do love Neha but right now my career matters the most. There will be a lot of time for my relationship later in life but right now my education is important. And I believe the same goes for you both too. But you...leave it yaar! Rhea let's go from here. We are just wasting our time trying to help her out!"

Rhea instantly squeezed Anaisha hand, telling her to not mind Yuvraj's word. She assured Annie through her eyes that everything will be okay!

Rhea knew very well how Anaisha must be feeling. She had seen in her eyes only love and care for Kabir and the same was visible in Kabir's eyes. Over this one year of internship along with her batch mates, she had become really close to Dr. Kabir whom she now called Kabir Bhai as on Raksha Bandhan she had tied a rakhi on his hand, when she saw that he hadn't celebrated that festival. Though he felt a little awkward and was denying her but when she told him that she too had no sibling and that she really thought of him as her elder brother, he agreed. Though before that also she and Kabir were really close to each other as she and he shared a lot of similarities.

Even Shivam said that she and Kabir could easily pass off as siblings! In fact Kabir was the one who convinced her to give Shivam a chance and for once live her life for herself. Since then whenever she had any issue regarding her parents, work or her relationship, she would talk to him. And it was just not her even Kabir very sincerely played the role of an elder brother in her life. He even convinced her parents to let her date Shivam and took full responsibility of her performance. He gave Shivam a small lecture and made him promise that he won't hurt her. She was really grateful to God for giving her a brother in the form of Kabir.

And for Kabir, well his life was on its way to normalcy. The void of a little sister in his life was being filled by Rhea, not completely though, but still it was.

After assuring Annie, Rhea left as she was paged by Dr. Rai. Annie was going towards the locker room when she banged against Nikhil. She was thinking about her decision when she collided with Nikhil and was about to fall down when he broke her fall and helped her to stand. He looked at her smilingly, and said, "Woah Annie be careful girl. What if I haven't held you, you would've fallen down and hurt yourself."

Annie smiled at him lightly and mumbled, "Thank you Nikhil but I know my best friend would never let me get hurt."

Nikhil shook his head and asked, "So what's up with you? These last two weeks of internship is taking a toll on you I guess. You fine? Wanna talk?"

Anaisha's forehead creased a little and she said dully, "No I'm not fine and yes I would love to talk. There's still half an hour left for the reports of Dr. Shaina's patient to come after which I have to report to her. Would you mind talking to me till then?"

"No of course not. Let's go in the locker room and talk for some time," suggested Nikhil.

Both of them went to the locker room and got seated themselves on the beanbags which were kept there. Nikhil asked her after settling down on the beanbag, "Now tell me what you wanted to talk about. You don't look okay Annie? I don't know why you seem lost since last few weeks. Is it because of the scholarship?"

He felt quite weird that she wasn't much happy after getting that scholarship unlike Rhea and Yuvraj, who were on the top of the world when they informed their friends about it. It was strange especially since Annie was one of the most enthusiastic and cheerful person amongst them. He was worried for his friend.

The other reason for him being anxious and observant of her was reasonble, he still harboured feelings for her. Though he had accepted the fact that she was not meant for him but he still cared for her and his love for her was still there though its intensity had reduced. But it was there and he hoped he would soon be over that, because then only he'd be able to enjoy their friendship perfectly.

Annie looked at him and answered with hesitation, "Hmm.. yes! I'm having ambivalence about this whole scholarship thing. I don't know whether I should take it up or not! I mean I want to but.. I'm in a dilemma since the time I got to know about this scholarship."

Nikhil's guess was right. He understood her very well that was why they were now best friends with each other. Anaisha waited Nikhil to say something but when he didn't, she looked at him and saw the kindest look on his face.

He took her hand in his and said soothingly, "It's not going away from your family but going away from Dr. Kabir which is the real reason for your ambivalence, right? Look Annie, in life we come across situations like this. I know you're confused, are having mixed feelings about this scholarship and obviously insecurities about your relationship but you shouldn't let it get to your head. Relax your mind and think about it calmly! Just remember that your one wrong decision would affect your career as well as your relationship."

Anaisha shifted her beanbag closer to him and kept her head on his shoulder, and whispered softly, "You are right Nikhil! But the more I think about this, the more I get confused. I know I'm very lucky that I got this chance but I don't know whether taking this scholarship up, my and Kabir's relationship would be affected or not. You know na long distance relationships are not easy and many a times it ends. I don't want to lose Kabir. I really love him a lot!"

Nikhil felt as if something just broke inside him. Though he knew she loved Kabir and in fact he had helped GM and Zaina in uniting them, his heart still craved for her. He always wished her to look at him the way she looked at Kabir but that was not possible because he knew what Anaisha felt for Kabir was true and there was no way she could feel the same for him. So he decided to forget her and remain as a friend to her but it still hurt him and because of this he couldn't at times cherish his friendship with her.

He took her hand which she had kept on his arm, in his hand and said, "If you ask me Annie, then I would say that you should take this scholarship up and make your dream come true. I don't think so your love life will be affected by it because if you both are meant to be with each other then you both will and if God forbids that, then no matter how hard you try to be with each other, you won't. So please accept this offer and share about this with Kabir. He has all the rights in this world to know about this."
Anaisha moved her head up from his shoulder and mumbled thankfully, "Sometimes I feel like you have known me for ages Nikhil. The way you exactly know how I feel and the way you console me. I'm grateful to have you as my best friend. Thanks a lot Nikhil for always being there with me!"

Nikhil frowned and grumbled with fake anger, "You call me your best friend then thank me for helping you? C'mon friends are for helping others!"

Anaisha smiled at him and then bit her lips while thinking. She really needed to apologise to him for something which she knew she wasn't to be blamed for but somewhere she too might have been at fault. She gazed at Nikhil with a sad smile and said guiltily, "I'm sorry Nikhil!"

Nikhil got confused with her sudden apology, wondering why was she apologising to him. He asked her confusedly, "What happened Annie? Why are you apologising to me?"

Anaisha fidgeted with her fingers and said in an unsure manner, "I got to know from Zaina and Rohan that you have feelings for me. I wanted to apologise to you long back but because of my schedule and then this scholarship thing, I didn't got time to do so. I'm very sorry Nikhil if because of any of my actions, I've hurt you. I never wanted you to go through any sort of pain because of me! I'm very sorry if I ever gave you any wrong indication. You're a very nice guy Nikhil with a very beautiful heart. I'm sure the girl who's meant for you will be very lucky to have you in her life!" Saying so Annie hugged him, hesitating a little, not wanting to hurt him more.

Rohan had accidently blurted out about Nikhil's crush on her some time back. She then forced Zaina and Rohan to tell her everything about his feelings for her. A little shocked, she was more surprised because never did any of Nikhil's gestures or actions conveyed that. He was always... sweet and helpful.

She felt bad for him and thought maybe somewhere she had given him wrong indications because of which he had developed a crush on her. She decided to apologise to him for all the pain he underwent because of her.

Nikhil was shocked on the other hand. He never expected her to know about his feelings for her. He knew it wasn't her fault. Her actions have never made him feel as if she liked him in any other sense. Their equation from her side was always platonic, nothing of any sort which would make him feel that she liked him or something.

In fact she always behaved like a friend with him. He was hurt not because of her but because of his fate. Anyone in his place would've felt that after all Annie was an adorable girl with a cute smile plastered on her lips all the time.

He quickly replied to her while hugging her back, "No Annie, it wasn't your fault. It was meant to happen so it happened. You please don't feel guilty about this or for me. I'm happy with the fact that you are my friend and that is enough for me. Please don't feel bad and please stop apologising to me."

Anaisha came out of the hug and said, "Okay, I won't, happy now?"
Nikhil smiled at her and said, "Very happy!"

Anaisha weakly smiled at him and said, "Thank you Nikhil for everything you've done for me! I'm lucky that I got a friend like you. We'll always be friends. Love you a lot bestie."

Nikhil smiled painfully at her and whispered to himself, "Wish that was enough!"

Annie didn't hear him and asked, "What?"

He shook his head and said, "Nothing!"

Anaisha nodded and said, "Okay, I should be going now. Bye!"

Nikhil replied to her, "Bye! And please tell Kabir everything about your scholarship!"

Anaisha replied in a rushed tone, "Yeah sure!" She quickly went out of the locker room to collect the reports and then to meet Dr. Shaina who had paged her. Nikhil picked his file up and started reading it as he had to assist Dr. Anuj in a surgery, completely oblivious that someone heard their entire conversation.

While these two were talking, they both were unaware of the presence of someone who had heard everything about Annie's scholarship and her ambivalence. He couldn't believe that Anaisha was hiding about such a big thing from him.
So this was why she was so much stressed. And yesterday too, she lied to him. But why? And Nikhil? Feelings for Annie? What the hell?

He was looking around for Annie as Sanam had told him that Annie went to collect reports of her patient. He was quite busy with his patients and then after lunch had left to make arrangements for their date. While he was searching for her, he saw Annie going with Nikhil towards the locker room and he went after her to meet her but then as he was about to go inside and approach her, he heard Nikhil ask Annie about her problems. He stood outside and carefully eavesdropped their conversation, though unintentionally.

Kabir was already shocked with her scholarship news. He was astonished to know that his girlfriend was hiding about such a big thing from him. He then remembered that his girlfriend was always the top contender for this scholarship but in midst of all the things happening in his life, that completely slipped off his mind.

Though he was unhappy with himself for forgetting about this scholarship, he couldn't understand why Annie hid it from him. But why? Did she thought that he would hold her back? Or she thought that she wouldn't be able to live without her for three years?

It was a huge opportunity for her and he would definitely want her to take it up even when it meant going through the pain of a distance relationship, so obviously her fears were baseless. But still it was disturbing him that she hid it from him.

But before he could recover from the initial shock of not being informed about her PG, he heard Anaisha saying that Nikhil had feelings for her, unknowingly his fear of losing her came back and all of a sudden, he again became insecure. Though he knew she loved him and his was the only man in her life. But his insecurity was because of the fact that she had shared this news with others, specifically Nikhil, but not him?

He too like her was in ambivalence. At one hand he felt proud of her and on other he left scared of losing her. But he was sure of one thing, he would never get in the way of her dreams even if it meant letting her go.

Was he really the reason why she hadn't accepted it? Does he really holding her back from going? Why had she not told him about this till now?

It felt like as if all of sudden someone has snatched his happiness away from him. Before this he was very happy but after he got to know about her dilemma, he felt really bad. He didn't want to be the one holding her back but he didn't want her to go away from him as well. But this time he won't decide anything, this time it was Anaisha who had to make a decision and he would accept her decision without any complaints! But he hoped she would choose her dreams over him because that mattered the most!
